Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: Between mid-XX/XX/XXXX through mid-XX/XX/XXXX, someone made purchases through my XXXX account for a game made by " XXXX XXXX ''. I noticed due to the high card balance and I reported it to Chase on XX/XX/XXXX and put a claim into XXXX. XXXX refunded a weeks worth of charges. I attempted to contact XXXX, but there was no direct communication I could find on the web other then form ( would need to submit over 200 forms and their site does not mark which one have been submitted ) Chase did a Fraud investigation however since it was my XXXX account, they cant count it as fraud. Chase then submitted it as a dispute. The dispute lasted 2 months and I followed their instructions, including contacting XXXX and the merchant of the game through a number Chase provided me. Ultimately, XXXX advised me I need to contact the merchant. I was bounced back and forth multiple-times saying if I want a refund, contact the other person ( see the recent email chain attached ). Chase informed they cant do anything as it was digital product, to much time has pass ( even though I filed it within 2 billing cycles ) and XXXX claims the money is already with the merchant, who does not reply to my request for refunds anymore.

Company closed your account
Complaint: I have 4 credit cards with Chase Bank. My first card was acquired in XXXX. I am a longtime customer and have always paid my credit card debt in a timely manner. Today - XX/XX/XXXX - I received a letter stating that " After careful consideration, we ( Chase ) closed your credit card accounts on XX/XX/XXXX, because our affiliate is ending their banking relationship with you. There was zero explanation as to why they were closing my accounts, merely the vague phrase " after careful consideration ''. What does that mean? I attempted to contact Chase via phone in order to get a fuller explanation for this sudden and seemingly arbitrary decision, however their agents are apparently not given any information they can share with me. I was informed that I could contact an " executive office representative '' via fax, or with a written email to a physical address. I have drafted and will be sending my letter tomorrow - a Saturday - so it won't arrive at this office until some time next week.
I am very frustrated that given a decision of this magnitude, the bank is not legally obliged to explain the reasoning behind their action in detail. Moreover, I am angry that the decision was made to close my accounts a WEEK before the letter notifying me of this decision reached my home. There was no indication prior to this decision that there is anything amiss with any of my accounts. My FICO score is very good - I believe it was just raised to XXXX. I can only surmise that one of the following things happened : I was an identity theft victim stemming from the XXXX breach of XXXX. I had to put a freeze on my credit and that freeze is still in place. Maybe something to do with my credit freeze tripped an automated scan of my accounts?
On that note - it's not clear who made the evaluation of my accounts that resulted in this decision. I received a response to a query I made via the Chase Online website 's secure email system, and the response had such poor grammar that I don't know the decision was legitimately made by any humans at all.
Three of the four cards have debts on them that I have been paying off in a timely fashion. I have not been late on any payments. So where is the problem?
I also recently informed Chase that I was rejecting their new arbitration terms that they have imposed on their credit card accounts. It is my understanding that accounts would NOT be closed if we sent them rejection letters. The president of the company stated this explicitly. I find it very suspicious that my rejection letters were drafted and sent to Chase on XX/XX/XXXX, and the notice that my accounts were closed was drafted on XX/XX/XXXX. If they closed my accounts based on my rejection of their new arbitration terms, is that not an illegal action? What are my rights as credit card user?
I am attaching both a scan of the letter that Chase sent me, and my initial reply which I am sending to their XXXX Ohio office.

Company closed your account
Complaint: I had been banking with Chase Bank for over 25 years. On XX/XX/2019 they sent me a letter ( which I received XX/XX/2019 ) stating they had decided to close all my accounts ( Checking and Saving ) with them. I went to their branch near my house and spoke to the branch managers that I had been seeing all these years and they logged in to my account only to find out that no new account to be open for me and no additional reasons to be provided on their decision to close my accounts.

Complaint: In XXXX I applied to have my mortgage insurance removed. Chase requested a check and said a broker would do an estimate. However, the broker used comparison sale data of over 12 months old and nothing similar to my home. I brought this up to Chase, and they said for me to submit comparison data of homes less than a mile away and no more than 6 months old sales data. When I did do this, Chase refused to accept the data without providing any reasoning. Furthermore, Chase 's customer service rep tried to belittle my opinion by insulting me when the data they are using does not fit the parameters of their own rules. Chase decided to use old data to keep my mortgage insurance and they kept my fee for a broker opinion that was tainted and false. The entire process is a sham and fraud. Chase has no desire to follow their own rules for estimating a value of a home and rather just keep the extra {$100.00} they charge customers.

Complaint: On two ( 2 ) separate instances, I was forced to close my checking account because CHASE failed to detect suspicious activity on my checking account.
My former checking account ending in XXXX was compromised when someone obtained the routing and account information. CHASE did not acknowledge the ACH payments were not typical methods of payment exercised by consumer.
Recently, my checking account ending in XXXX was compromised, AGAIN when someone obtained my routing and account information to make ACH payments using the checking account route and account number. CHASE did not detect suspicious activity and acknowledged consumer does not typically used this method of payment.
Upon my request, the account was restricted ONLY to allow numerous direct deposits and allow pending checks to clear but CHASE abruptly closes the account without notifying me. Check # XXXX made payable to the US Treasury has yet to clear, causing much concern regarding their automated systems, protocols and detection of fraudulent activity.

Complaint: We are senior citizens ( ages XXXX & XXXX ) who are experiencing a hardship and trying to remain in our " '' Forever Home '' ( constructed in XXXX, next door to our son/caregiver ) and his family ) for as long as our health will allow. We have reached out to our Mortgage Company, JP Morgan Chase for assistance but have been denied approval because we are NOT presently facing bankruptcy or foreclosure. According to their review of our monthly expenses and income, our house remains affordable according.
We feel they are discriminating because of our age and want to force us to sell our home. For 13 years we have been loyal customers to Chase... never missing a payment and now borrowing from family each month in order to meet the monthly mortgage payments. When we built our house, my wife and I were enjoying 6-figure salaries and were preparing for this time in our life. Since that time, the company I managed since XXXX was sold, my wife 's company closed during the real estate collapse and now our health is failing. We have our savings, had to give up a part time job because I could no longer perform the duties, and with next month 's payment we will begin to fall behind on our mortgage payments.
Our house has been valued by XXXX XXXX at {$490000.00} and our remaining balance is {$270000.00}. Our credit score is nearly 800 with all 3 major reporting agencies. Normally we pay off our credit card balances each month but we've had some unexpected expenses that have increased our balance to nearly {$1000.00}. We've been trying to refinance but either our income-to-debt ratio is too low or we can't find an interest rate that will reduce our payment.
Our credit rating has always been of great concern and we've made application for mortgage assistance before the situation deteriorates. We are simply trying to be proactive in what is to come a desperate situation.
We know the wisest thing to do would be to sell our house and take the equity but we honestly feel our health would not survive a move to another location. Plus, our caregivers live next door and keeping the house would be less expensive than entering a facility. We do not know how much time we have to enjoy our home but are simply seeking a lower payment for the next couple of years until we can obtain a Reverse Mortgage.

Complaint: This morning, XX/XX/19 at approx XXXX EST, I called my bank, Chase Bank, to ask questions about XXXX, a monetary transfer service that the bank uses. I was planning to purchase concert tickets from XXXX XXXX, and I was advised by a representative that if there were any problems, that I could file a claim with the Chase Fraud department. I had never used XXXX before but that was the service preferred by Mr. XXXX. So I sent money though their service, XXXX, under the impression that I could rely on my bank to help me in the event of foul play.
Minutes later when I did not receive my tickets and could not reach Mr. XXXX, I called Chase to cancel the transaction, and was put on an extended hold. I was transferred four times, to be told that it was too late to cancel the transaction and that they would not dispute the charge. They said that it was the equivalent of giving away cash, as opposed to a credit or debit transaction. I was told that I should have called the Fraud department regarding my questions about XXXX, and not their telephone banking department. I have been a loyal Chase customer for ten years and I am surprised by the lack of empathy and customer service. I will be closing my account immediately.
Do not use XXXX, do not bank with Chase, and be careful with ticket sales.
