Complaint: I have been diagnosed with XXXX XXXX at age XXXX. This last year I had XXXX XXXX of my XXXX removed and had XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was and continue to make the payments on my credit cards, but the interest is now ~26 percent and the monthly bill is {$370.00}. I have three Chase credit cards. I paid one off completely and explained to Chase via phone call and through their website email service that I intend to pay off {$12000.00} by XX/XX/2019 when I receive my bonus check from my employer. This amount is guaranteed, not fictitious or contrived. Despite sending medical proof from XXXX XXXX XXXX Hospital that I am recovering from an aggressive XXXX /XXXX and making a promise to pay, they will not assist me. Moreover, my most recent payment, despite being paid on time was not deducted from my balance. Rather, new interest was added at the same time the payment was made, making my account still over the {$12000.00} credit limit. Not only will Chase not help, but they are hedging against me. I am requesting, as a single mother of XXXX children, a citizen, born in the United States, with no criminal or motor vehicle record of any kind, for the help of this federal organization.

Unexpected increase in interest rate
Complaint: My interest rate jumped on two of my credit cards, the only two I have with Chase bank. My payment doubled overnight. I've been trying to make the payments, but it's hard because I don't work overtime any longer. I am recovering from XXXX. I told Chase this on 3 occasions and asked for a temporary interest reduction to allow me to catch up. They flatly refused stating they would close the account and bring the interest to zero -- but they know and I know that would mess up my credit to debt ration even further. I am asking for advocacy and intervention on this matter. I am a citizen of the United States. I am XXXX years of age and a single mom. My father is a XXXX XXXX veteran whom served a tour with the XXXX XXXX. I have no criminal or motor vehicle record of any kind. Despite being a good debtor this bank has decided to act against me, even though I have a medical hardship.

Complaint: There were several unauthorized charges made to my account. That I disputed with Chase Bank dispute department. Charges that were temporary reverse charges. Then later on recharge my account. Without any explanation as to how Chase investigation department found theses charges to be mine. Its been a long going issue with Chase Bank and their unfair practice towards their Customers. When it comes to disputes on unauthorized charges. Leading me to now seek legal actions against Chase. Im filing this complaint to show proof that I attempted to resolve this matter with an outside agency. The dispute dates Im filing this complaint about are XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$100.00} ; XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$66.00} and XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$41.00}. All disputes were denied without any explanation as to how they founded these charges to be mine. Chase also charged my account a {$34.00} for an overdraft amount of XXXX. When I asked for them to reverse it. Because I forgot to transfer funds from my other to cover the overdraft amount. My request was denied. This bank is beyond horrible. The fact that I still bank with them is depressing.

Complaint: Used Chase ATM : Wednesday XXXX XXXX XXXX Using XXXX Debit Card withdrawal {$220.00} ( have used same ATM several times before, it charges me {$3.00} fee to withdraw money from XXXX. I prefer Chase ATM because I can get {$100.00} 's, {$20.00} 's and {$5.00} 's. This withdrawal specifically was {$220.00}. Everything went fine until it went to dispense cash, I heard it run through a couple times and then nothing, no cash was dispensed, only ATM Slip that shows withdrawal from checking $ XXXX+fees ( completed ) but below it says " We're Sorry ATM Can not Dispense Cash At This Time please contact XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX '' So I am freaking out and call the #, they tell me since I am not a Chase customer they can't help me. I call XXXX and everything on their end shows that I got the money from a completed ATM withdrawal. This is the problem I dont want to file a dispute with XXXX when it was Chase ATM that is the problem. I decided to wait until the following day and call at XXXX. I speak with XXXX who I explain situation, shes very cordial and understanding and says she will call me back. She calls back and explains I have to go through XXXX. I dont accept that answer and ask for her supervisor, she says she will have Branch manager contact me. By XXXX that night I havent heard from the manager, so I go into the bank, the branch manager reluctantly helps me after making me wait for 15-20 minutes. He explains theirs nothing they can do and I ask when they balance the ATM because it will be positive {$220.00} that is my cash, he says once a week but he isnt willing to help. I explain, why would I file an investigation on a complete ATM withdrawal that isnt XXXX issue, its Chase. He says since I am not a Chase customer he can't help me. I asked for his supervisor because I explain I needed that cash Wednesday night, not in 2 weeks from now. He gives me his supervisor 'contact info. No remorse, etc, just more of a sorry man its not my deal, although he agrees it doesnt make sense for me to call XXXX and file a dispute on a complete ATM withdrawal and ask for a credit. That seems like I just withdrew {$220.00} and then am calling and saying oh it didnt work I need you to credit me back that money. Why would I do that when Chase can just count the ATM and see their is a discrepancy, and he also has seen the slip I got when the error occurred. Please help me rectify this situation, I just want the cash they are holding onto at the Chase Bank. Thank You!

Complaint: I purchased a Refrigerator on a store Credit Card. I mistakenly decided that I would use my ability to use cash advance to pay off another credit card to transfer the store card balance to my Chase MC that offered no interest for 12 months. I payed the XXXX " process '' fee. I should have had a red flag then. I have paid on my balance for 6 months now and have no discernable difference in the balance of the transferred to 0 percent APR balance. I called them about this and I have NEVER had such a go around the bush explanation for why this is happening. Once XXXX get 's here I'll be paying major interest on this purchase, more than if I had left it on the store card. This is a sham of a way to get you in a spiral upward issue with interest on one 's Credit Card.
I am at this point just going to pay all but XXXX of the balance and be done with this completely by XXXX and not use the Chase card again, even for my Amazon XXXX unless I can pay off within the month. I certainly will NEVER use a convenience check/cash advance on this card.
This type of usury should be outlawed, or the CFPB do something about. This is akin to payday loans.

Complaint: This complaint is about Chase Bank shutting down my XXXX limit XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after trying to make a withdrawal and promptly responding to the fraud alert texts and emails only to be told my account is under review and someone would contact me within 7 to 10 business days. No one got in contact with me and when i called in to customer service I was asked 2 questions that did not apply to me at all but according to their public record but I was not familiar with the address that they asked how long i resided there for and they asked what year i bought or co signed a XXXX XXXX. Each time i tried to tell the rep that none of the multiple choice answers they are providing to me as the answers had any significance to me. Come to find out there isnt even any such thing as a car called a XXXX XXXX. So why was i asked these questions? Just so i would purposely fail the identity verification and throw my account into suspense and trigger the financial review so they can close the account? Thats not fair. Im XXXX XXXX XXXX and i suffer from XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. This is only adding to my XXXX XXXX. I feel like i am being profiled as an easy target and the banks thinking i wont say anything. I applied for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX because of the amazing sign up bonus. I only just recently became a rewards enthusiast after my daughter got a free night at her favorite hotel with her rewards points. Ive been banking with chase since XXXX. I never carry a balance, i pay my annual fees, and never make a late payment. Ive been an ideal consumer with an XXXX XXXX XXXX. If Chase felt like they thought I was a high risk customer all of a sudden and that they were going to take action against my credit card accounts to reduce the risk to them, why not just reduce my credit limit instead of completely taking it away from me with no founded reason to do so and without comment or defense from me? Now my XXXX CRedit cArd is frozen and under review. No one has called or reached out to me yet. While reviewing my checking account i found several unauthorized transactions that took place at chase atms XX/XX/XXXX thru the XXXX of XXXX while XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I noticed my card was not in my wallet and that it was found in my top dresser drawer around XX/XX/XXXX. I just recently started using online banking. As I am reviewing my statements I am finding issues that I am afraid to even bring up because now im forced to file these disputes because someone spent alot of money out of my checking and savings accounts and now im forced to rely on the credit cards until we work this out but Chase is freezing and closing those accounts. Complaint: Dear Consumer Finance Protection Bureau : This is my sixty day response to claim XXXX.
First Id like to thank JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. ( Chase ) for responding in part to its obligation as a financial institution and responding to my complaint which I was granted permission to file with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) under their jurisdiction in regards to its financial banking institution lease agreement and its acquisition of the prior mortgager as a financial banking institution for the property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. in XXXX, Illinois ( the premises ).
The loan that Chase acquired from XXXX is only one part of the subject of the complaint filed with the CFPB, and Chase is attempting to dismiss the complaint by deconstructing my complaint and only providing responses for what they feel is necessary for them to rebuke. They failed to address in full the details of my complaint, which are as follow : Chases lease as a banking institution at the property, and through its acquisition of the mortgage loan from XXXX, created for Chase a dual role as both lender and mortgagee, thereby creating a conflict of interest and a monopoly which favors Chase financially.
Chase had no contractual right to terminate the lease. Chase was in its first five-year option in its banking financial institution lease which was prepared and signed by XXXX XXXX, Chases assignor, and submitted a wrongful notice of termination in XX/XX/XXXX on the grounds that the lease was not binding through the term on the five-year option. If this lease were ambiguous, as Chase claims, then Chase bears the responsibility for any ambiguity with respect to this termination right, being that XXXX XXXX, Chases predecessor, wrote the lease. However, I am taking the position that the lease was not and is not ambiguous.
Chase states in its response letter that I am requesting an exorbitant amount for my damages where Chase failed to restore the property in accordance with the lease, and admits this breach of contract to the CFPB in its letter. Please see the attached photos that depict the condition of the property when I was given possession.
Chases response letter also states that I am not being represented by counsel where I, XXXX XXXX, have been continuously represented by counsel in both the mediation and foreclosure proceedings, as well as the preparation for arbitration proceedings now that the term of the lease have expired as of XX/XX/XXXX.
Chases breach of its lease directly impacted my ability to service my mortgage loan with Chase. As a result I was forced into foreclosure with accelerated principal and default interest, along with substantial fees incurred for receivership and legal counsels. Chase surrendered the keys to the property and notified my council that they wanted to go back into the premises to continue restoration of the property for which they exhibited a non-workmanship manner, and not agreeing to pay any additional rent for the premises. My council and I refused. Chases failure to restore the property as provided for as in the lease left the property with the absence of an occupancy certificate in accordance with the XXXX Building Department. I was forced to sell under duress at a price well below market value whereas I had never before intended to sell the property. Despite Chases attempt to separate these two issues, the contract breach and foreclosure are integral to my complaint against this banking financial institution.
Presently, the foreclosure mortgage lien has been satisfied to the plaintiffs benefit, whereas the defendant still has ongoing litigation in regards to the receiver and is anticipating additional counterclaims in court.

Complaint: Ive been using Southwest Chase credit card since XXXX, maintained well like my other cards i paid on time never missed any payments my credit score is about 760 and decided to get chase business credit card applied on XXXX XXXX then i waited for couple days havent heard anything till XXXX XXXX i woke up and checked my email and saw email sent from chase saying they are closed my southwest chase account I thought it must be a mistake checked my account through chase mobile app works and called to ask whats going on they transferred me back and forth finally got explanation of " you applied multiple credit cards short period of time '' i have total of only 5 open accounts couple " hard inquiries '' including this closed account now my credit score is dropped by 6 points these points are fine i can accept it but can't accept closed account report that stays 10 years on my credit history. Lastly they refunded XXXX $ annual credit card fee.

Complaint: Email notification of payment due reflected amount lower than the full amount actually due. I found this very misleading. If I hadnt double checked statement online, I may have initiated underpayment leading to interest charges. Actual due is {$290.00} Chase credit.
