When in fact my name is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. THey have also been paid by way of money order on XX/XX/XXXX as they requested.
NOTICE REMINDER OF PAYOFF PAID IN FULL DISCHARGE PAYMENT MONEY ORDER AS REQUESTED. Payment or payoff {$54000.00} was received by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX Registration USPS number Tracking : XXXX and before thus XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX received the payment or payoff on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. Posting 90 days late on XX/XX/XXXX is deemed harassment and possible extortion.
On several occasions since XX/XX/XXXX I have recieved multiple emails and letters requesting new and more information for a student loan. See attached docs emails and letters. I called to ask what was going on and was suggested to ignore the emails and calls. I have recieved a numberous amount of calls emails and letters for offers of free money for college, so on and so forth. This is an internal issue for the Department of Education and the servicer Great Lakes.
I would like to file a complaint due to the amount of harassment and extortion produced by your agency as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX a manager on XX/XX/XXXX concerning the payments and payoff with Great Lakes and on the behalf of The Dept Of Education, whom have received multiple payments before and thereafter XX/XX/XXXX. As well the credit agency filed a complaint on this behalf due to attempts thereafter the Dept Of Ed receiving payment in full that your agency attempted to file late on the credit agency thereafter payment was mailed and received. As well the documents stated that after payment my private and personal information shall be deleted and no more attempts to contact communicate or create some form of verbal contract or written contractual documented be it by phone mail or email. In no way is this communication a form of contract only to prevent legal recourse and false documented information. Attached to this email are the correspondences during before and final. Great Lakes on multiple occasion attempted to file new agreements or contracts forbarrences please ceist this type of actions for they shall produce legal recourse against you. I have not allowed or given permission thereafter payments in full has been received by the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX address of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, XXXX GA XXXX. Now I am dealing with Identity theft and have taken such actions against those whom have created this dilemma and those assisting is such illegal actions, and if its found that someone inside your agency is assisting in attempts to slander my good name and reputation I shall alert the authorities of such things asap. Please be advised there are no other forms of communication thereafter nor a log in account addressed hereafter XX/XX/XXXX after the payment was received anyone attempting to collect on this closed account shall be forwarded to the proper authorities and legal ramification shall be pursued. I had an emergency about my kids back home that I have to quit school to work longer hours for family matters. After 3 years of my children arrivals in the US, I always wanted to upgrade my XXXX XXXX and I did started but suddenly on XX/XX/XXXX I started to received annoyed phone calls 7 days a week and letters from multiples debt collector agencies to collect loan payment for XXXX for the past of 5 years. They stopped harassed me finally for a while when I told them that I reported them to the consumers affairs. On XX/XX/XXXX, I could n't perform the jobs I used to do and I decided to go back again for XXXX XXXX. Since on my teen age I have a passion for beauty, health care and singing. I did applied on line for financial aid and I paid {$7500.00} for the application and they send me a report therefore when I go to the school to register for the program, the financial aid secretary have to re apply for the financial Aid and I had told that I had a grant and Pell grant.. Unfortunately, On XX/XX/XXXX I received a negative report account using my personal information as the account number from Great Lakes debt collector agencies of {$950000.00}. The programs at that time was {$10000.00} plus the kit fees was {$60000.00} plus {$10000.00} for a total {$11000.00} that I paid my kit 's fee and the registration fee. I have a grant of {$5600.00} as I had been told I also had a Pell grant that I did n't know the amount. And when I tried to find out of this early debt collection and why the Great Lakes international borrower debt collection back on XX/XX/XXXX using my personal identification instead of a loan account, the director of the school and the financial aid secretary after each one referred me to an another, each one replied that they do not have any idea but they will investigate. Therefore I never know about the Pell grant amount because I always wanted to know about why I had been treated unfairly and I did believed they fraud me to collect the previous untruthful and unlawful debt from XX/XX/XXXX wrongfully otherwise I will have a loan account assigned. After I talked to them and have update from me then there is an account and the number is XXXX I did contacted this international agency and set a monthly payment until I determined that was unfair as I promised. It was n't a discussion but I was investigated the debt. my last name was misspell, personal identification reported as account #, multiply different address agencies and names so that prove it may be an untruth account. therefore I wanted this account be investigated and delete accordingly. Complaint: I am recently widowed with a XXXX year old and soon to be delivered XXXX XXXX. Great Lakes is my student loan servicer. I submitted a payment for approximately {$140000.00} for my student loan payoff which was received on or about XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The payment was cashed and funds withdrawn from my account. The payment showed as processing on my online system as of XXXX XXXX, XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, I contacted the servicer because the payment was still showing processing. I was told it can take a few days but interest would no longer accrue as of the date received - XXXX XXXX. This past week I followed up again because an auto draft payment was processed and the larger payment was still outstanding. I was told the payment was sent to the incorrect place and that it was being " processed '' to return the funds. All the while interest was still due and accruing.
Now I completely understand that if I sent to the wrong place that is an issue I need to deal with but I followed up with my servicer to see if there was a problem. When I spoke with an agent she said they knew on XXXX XXXX the payment was not made to the correct place but it can take 30-45 days to have a new check issued to me. As of XXXX XXXX, the payment was still showing as processing on my online system and a new " check '' was still being processed to return the funds. However by cashing my check the servicer converted those funds and took title to them. If it was sent to the wrong location there was no need to cash my money and then keep that money for now 30+ days. Had the check not been cashed I could have had the payment voided by the bank and reissued to be sent to the correct location. But now the servicer is saying that even though I followed up and was given false information I must pay the loan interest for this entire month! How is that right they can take my money for 30 days, preventing me from earning interest on those funds, while at the same time charging me interest when they told me the payment was just being processed. Again if the servicer had not cashed my check and again taken title to those funds I would have been alerted to some issue and been able to rectify this easily and quickly. But not only did they cash my check and take my money, the servicer gave me false information preventing me from being able to minimize my exposure to additional interest charged on my loans.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX is reporting derogatory on my credit report, for a zero balance account dated back in XXXX, refusing to remove via giving the run around on the proper channels to take to have it removed.
Great Lakes sent loans into default after allegedly not being able to reach me on several occasions, I was not made aware of these finding until enrolling in college XXXX, After being notified of these findings, I immediately contact Great Lakes with concern, was under the impression the loans were in forbearance, but the rep told me something different, was told The time my loans were in forbearance was XXXX for 30days, which would have been unreasonable for me to do,, since I had fallen on Hardship for since XXXX.
I Explained to the Rep if that was true why am I now being sent to the default statues 1yr and 4-5months later? when the allotted time after a missed payment or no further action to put the loans in any type of repayment plan is 270days.
I Take Full Responsibility of the debt I myself agreed to and since being notified of the default findings I have worked with the Dept. Of Education and is now currently on a Rehabilitation Program.
upon pulling my Credit Report I also found that the derogatory remarks are reporting on my credit, now I am aware that govt loan can be collected forever but after 7 years the negative remarks suppose to be removed, to my finding the delinquency dates of these loan are very inaccurate and untrue, and have requested on multiple occasions of payment history and source of payments for the accounts and this issue has not been resolved

Complaint: Great Lakes is my student loan servicer and my loan ( Dir Stafford Sub and Unsub ) is currently past due because they used unethical and illegal means of denying me access to the income driven repayment options available to me. Each time I tried to reapply/re-enroll in the income driven program that I was already enrolled in, their website would not allow me access to the different sites that I was sent to. When I called customer service about this issue, I was told I would be sent paperwork in regards to the matter but did n't receive the paperwork so I could remain on the income-driven repayment options. On the last day of eligibility, one of their representatives called me and asked was I still interested in being enrolled in the income-driven repayment option and I told the person 'yes ' but nothing happened and a few days later, I was no longer enrolled and then the late/non-payments started being applied to my account and then it went on my credit history with the credit bureaus as non-payments when I am still eligible for the income-driven repayment options, but they would n't fix the issues with the website or send me any paperwork to keep my eligibility. Each time I 've spoken with them when they call about receiving payment, but no one at Great Lakes has fixed this issue. I need help here.

Complaint: When the servicing of my loan transferred to Great Lakes they discontinued the auto pay function that I had set up with ACS. This resulted in my account becoming past due. I 'm concerned it XXXX have also affected my rate and my credit. I contacted Great Lakes because of emails I received, but I was not sure who this company was and immediately it asked for my social. Who gives out their XXXX to a stranger that emails them? When I asked to speak with a representative she explained it was due to 'hackers ' and 'my privacy ' that they do not continue the auto pay from XXXX servicer to another. I feel this is an unfair and deceptive act or practice. I now have the payments made and the auto pay corrected but if my rate or credit were affected I want it fixed. I also think that servicers should be required to sustain automatic payments when transferring. The lender is the same!

I am aware of my rights and the statue of limitations in my state as a borrower. According to The Consumer Credit Act of 1974, it gives the credit consumer a legal process by which to proceed if he/she feels as if their rights have been or are being violated! gives the credit consumer a legal process by which to proceed if he/she feels as if their rights have been or are being violated! the courts had historically misinterpreted the laws, falsely deeming student debts as student loans under the bankruptcy code. At this point I feel that you are accusing me to be the owner of the loan accounts listed on my credit file. I feel that my rights are violated in several ways. Accusing a consumer of an unknown debt and misuse of ones credit can turn into a big problem. It is impossible for a creditor to verify a consumers debt attempting to verbally verifying the debt with a credit bureau. The debt was deleted several months ago and it was reinstated back on my credit file just recently.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I had an unauthorized ACH from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$160.00}. I notified XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX of the error given that all my student loans were paid off in XXXX. The lender refused to reverse the payment without the party that authorized the transaction to confirm despite the fact that clearly the transaction was not authorized given I 'm the owner of the checking account that is now disputing the charge. The lender then noted that I should just discuss the matter with my own bank and let them handle the dispute. I told the Great Lakes representative that they should be the one reversing the charge given they made the error and were the ones that initiated the ACH. The representative later indicated that they would put in the stop request ; however, it would take 30-45 days to make the adjustment. I indicated that this action was absurd that I should carry the burden for 30-45 days considering it was an unauthorized transaction. There was little remorse from the lender for the error. They also indicated that they could not confront the party that caused the unauthorized transaction. Once again, all of my loans are paid off and there should be no reason for this lender to be debiting my account. I also think it is ridiculous that a consumer should be carrying the unauthorized charge on his/her own account for 30-45 days.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted my Income Driven Repayment ( IDR ) renewal application with supporting documentation to Great Lakes. I received an email stating that it was received and would be processed within 20 days, or before the XX/XX/XXXX deadline. My loan was then transferred to myfedloans because I am eligible for public service loan forgiveness. Great Lakes did not process my application prior to transferring the loans. The deadline lapsed and I received notice on XX/XX/XXXX, that I would have to reapply for my IDR renewal. However, since the original deadline lapsed, the interest on my loan will now capitalize.
This is the second year in a row that Great Lakes did not process my paperwork on time even though I sent in the information early. In XX/XX/XXXX, Great Lakes allowed the deadline to lapse without processing my paperwork even though I sent it in on time.

Complaint: I have sent documentation to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX three times to determine my income-based repayment plan. Each time I was given a different amount to pay. They have determined my income-based payments incorrectly each time. I have called several times, over five, and have spoken to supervisors. No one seems to get it. As I have explained, I am a XXXX. My pay rate changes daily and seasonally. Simply sending in my two week pay sub will not give you an accurate account of how much money I make. I do not receive pay checks, it all goes to taxes and then some. Great Lakes seems to think that they can take a number they see on my pay stub and multiply it by 52 weeks and that 's automatically my income for the year, which could n't be more wrong. I have also attached my tax information per the IRS website and still was given an outrageous amount to pay, although I am making basically the same amount I did the previous year. It was raised over {$45.00} dollars. I have been with Great Lakes for over five years and have never had a payment amount this high. I have tried several times to explain this to Great Lakes representatives and each time their solution has been to send in another pay stub. So it could be calculated wrong again? Never in my life have I experienced such ignorance with a loan lending company, and I hope to resolve this issue without taking further action.
