Debt resulted from identity theft
Complaint: This agency NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS is misrepresenting their company name, address and phone number.. when you call the XXXX number it really belongs to the XXXX. They are harrassing me with these different collection agencies because they can not collect on a debt that is not mine and was a result of Identity Theft which I am a victim of. XXXXXXXX was notified in XXXX 2015 that this account was a result of Identity Theft.They received all the necessary proofs via certified mail. In XXXX XXXX, 2015 I received a letter from a collection agency stating that this account was placed for collection and i must pay. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I sent them via certified mail all necessary paperwork, theft report from FTC etc.they apparently turned around an sold the debt again to this NCO financial system because now on XXXX XXXX, 2015 I received yet again another collection letter from NCO indicating that I owe this debt. When I called the XXXX number that is on the letter, the representative " XXXX '' states that the company name is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . How can this be if the letter has the address and name of NCO Financial Sysytems. Misrepresentation? And XXXX /XXXX was already sent the necessary legal paperwork indicating that this account has been a result of identity theft. Why are they still trying to collect on this debt? Another thing they also sent me the paperwork that was involved with the application process at the time of the theft occurance. The signature is not mine. I filled all necessary forms with ftc and police dept and have provided them with my notarized signature and they still try to collect. Why?
