Complaint: I am livid that XXXX charged me {$10.00} on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to put a credit freeze on my account. Not only did their onsite web page tell me that my information had been compromised, but, they charged me for this action which I had to take due to their own negligence and unacceptable lack of proper security. I tried calling to complain, but the did n't answer, even after waiting for an hour. I paid the {$10.00} since I already have a suspicious credit request, and am very. very worried about this. In addition, I spent hours today trying to get fraud alerts and credit freezes on all three credit bureaus with mixed results. None of them let me add fraud alerts, and calling them was hopeless. XXXX XXXX customer phone number asks for a lot of information by an automated voice attendant, then hangs up. They want me to mail in a form - and, this situation is happening now! I do n't know what you can do to bring XXXX and its executives to account for this.

Complaint: Equifax mishandled my personal information including Name, Social Security #, Address, Birthdate, etc. resulting in a data breach in XXXX XXXX that they confirmed I was affected by per their " Potential Impact '' site www.equifaxsecurity2017.com. They have put myself and millions of others at risk of identity theft/fraud due to negligent security protocols in handling consumer information. They are further attempting to capitalize on the situation by signing injured parties THEY are responsible for up for " trial periods '' of their ID protection services. They are simultaneously defrauding these injured parties with hidden terms of service that waive their right to sue the company in what is clearly a situation of criminal negligence/fraudulent behavior as indicated by the three Equifax executives that dumped stock immediately prior to the data breach announcement.

Complaint: My information was initially exposed in the XXXX breach and gained access to credit and identity monitoring after that incident. Since then, I regularly check all alerts that typically include normal inquiries for credit or new accounts being opened that were my own. I recently found out that my information was also exposed again during the recent Equifax breach and yesterday I got another alert that XXXX XXXX XXXX had done an inquiry on my credit via Equifax. Knowing this was n't initiated by me, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX 's fraud department and found out that on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, a wireless account was opened with my SSN using someone else 's name and address. XXXX XXXX XXXX 's fraud department actually did close the account as of yesterday and marked it as fraudulent but now I have confirmed that my SSN has been exposed and was stolen with the intent to use it to steal my identity. I have reported fraud alerts with XXXX who said that fraud alerts would then be sent to the other XXXX major bureaus

Complaint: Last week on XXXX XXXX, XXXX when they had the report of hacking, I was informed ( by putting in my information XXXX that my information was compromised. I also have unauthorized inquiries on my report starting on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I contacted Equifax and since I did not get anything accomplished, I added the security freeze on my account. I paid the {$10.00} fee. Seeing that it is Equifax 's issue that has made my personal information vulnerable, I should not have to pay for the freeze.
