Complaint: My Mortgage account was paid in full on XX/XX/2018. However, an automatic monthly payment was processed on XX/XX/2018 for an overpayment amount of {$1300.00}. I have called Ditech to resolve this matter and spoke with representatives and supervisors. Every time I called they explain about a different process to issue a refund check, which is not a consistent explanation. Recently, I spoke with supervisor XXXX on XX/XX/2018 XXXX ET, who promised to overnight the check and call me to confirm. Today is Tuesday XX/XX/2018 and no call nor an overnight check has been received. I called and spoke with XXXX and lead XXXX. They indicated that XXXX was ill and out of the office for 2 days. On XX/XX/2018, XXXX added he will take care of this matter. XXXX acknowledged that I have called several times and nothing was done. He will follow up and call me tomorrow XX/XX/2018 at XXXX ET to get this finalized and find out where the disconnect is. Keep in mind they do have my correct mailing address, telephone number and email address. Today is Thursday XX/XX/2018 and I have not received any response from anyone at DItech. At this time I have lost confidence in Ditech, please help me to expedite and get my money back {$300.00}

The property was sold in the regular course of business, as proof to it attached 1 ) Condominium unit deed, executed by me ; 2 ) Discharge of mortgage ; 3 ) letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating that account has been paid in full. I communicate with XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, requesting to clarified error and send me a letter of correction. Despite assurance to do so they neglected. I send them a letter to request set for information, however no response was follow.

Complaint: I schedule regular payments through my bank just over the amount typically due. When my statements comes in I make adjustments if necessary, ( happens occasionally due to escrow fluctuations ). I did not receive a statement for my XX/XX/XXXX payment.. The XX/XX/XXXX payment processed through my bank for {$1300.00}. My XX/XX/XXXX statement claims that I missed a payment and my amount due is now {$2800.00}. My payment due went up to {$1300.00}. This would indicate that they received nothing from me for the XX/XX/XXXX payment. And they attached a {$41.00} late fee on a payment that was short @ {$75.00}. I don't believe that it's a coincidence that the only time I didn't receive a statement coincided with an increase in the amount due. Di Tech just went through Chapter XXXX. I don't believe this is an isolated event.

Complaint: I have a mortgage that is serviced by Ditech Financial LLC on a property I own in Connecticut. In the entire history of this loan, I have never missed a payment or even been late on one. I received a letter dated XX/XX/2018 from a collection agency alleging that Ditech had not received my mortgage payment that was due by XXXX. Subsequently, I logged into my account and saw that the payment for the exact amount ( {$1400.00} ) was submitted 2 days early - and received - on XX/XX/2018.
The payment was submitted electronically. However, Ditech misallocated the payment, directing the entirety of the proceeds towards principal. This is not how I had arranged the payment, through their own system.
To make matters worse, they opted to refer the matter directly to a collection agency and applied a late fee to my account.
This is easily the 5th time I have had this issue arise with Ditech, and I am beyond tired of having to spend my time pointing out errors of their own creation that have a meaningful effect on me.

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 and XX/XX/18 Ditech my mortgage company sent me letters saying I had to increase my flood insurance at XXXX XXXX XXXX otherwise known as XXXX XXXX XXXX or they will find me insurance and it could be expensive. I immediately took action calling and also leaving messages at least five times with XXXX at my flood insurance company. She refused to call my mortgage company but she told me the old policy had to be paid off first before any changes could be made. I called and emailed Ditech at least five times giving them this information. They finally told me the flood policy would be paid off from escrow within five business days after I got a notice of cancellation because it had not been paid by XX/XX/18. My flood policy expires on XX/XX/18. On XX/XX/18 my flood insurance called me and XXXX had me pay a small amount ( less than {$40.00} ) for the extra coverage on my policy by credit card even though I said I have an escrow account for this. On that same day I got a letter from Ditech dated XX/XX/18 accusing me of ignoring their warning letters concerning flood insurance and informed me it will cost me {$210.00} ( includes XXXX XXXX ) and this would be on top of the {$340.00} or so I already pay for flood insurance. Since then I have called Ditech ( again ) asking to speak to a supervisor but was told by customer service that nothing could be done until another escrow analysis takes place ( that includes the higher insurance they got me ). I emailed them yesterday twice with no reply so far. I am reaching out to you because this is the third mistake my mortgage company has made in a year and I dont have much faith in them to resolve this matter correctly.

Complaint: DITECH is the absolute worst mortgage company to deal with. They have been holding our insurance check since XXXX and still have yet to release our funds to us so we can begin repairs on our property. We have called them every single day to check on the status of our check and they have noted our calls and that all of our paperwork was processed. Today our check is supposed to be released and sent overnight. When my husband called to make sure of this they tried to inform him that there was documentation missing from the file. At this point, DITECH is playing games with us. We get a different rep every single time we call in and the operator gives you very basic information. It is so frustrating dealing with this company. The amount of the check is more than the value we owe on the property. It is our money. It is for us to begin repairs. It is not a difficult case and a few documents that were needed have been given to DITECH back on XX/XX/XXXX. They keep pushing us days later and saying they are behind schedule because of hurricane claims. I should also mention that DITECH was not even our mortgage company when the accident occurred. We have been running around and dealing with a dozen other things in order to get this process started and yet DITECH who is handling our claim has NEVER REACHED OUT TO US! We always had to call into their call center and try to figure out what is going on.

Complaint: In early XX/XX/XXXX, A payment of {$1000.00} was to be applied to P & I for the XX/XX/XXXX bill.
..includes extra to pay toward Principle.
BUT - they applied it entirely to principle.. and want a 2nd payment for the XX/XX/XXXX bill.
Now there is a late charge since I refuse to give two payments in 1 month.
They have emails and a phone call to correct this.
On phone call ( XX/XX/XXXX ) the customer service rep said that they have no way of knowing what a payment should be applied to and that she was not authorized to correct it.
( What? You're a lender? And you don't know how to allocate payments as they come in? ) All payments are made on time and always have extra money for principle.

Complaint: XX/XX/2018 the state of North Carolina suffered a terrible hurricane.Our state was declared a disaster. The town where I live is still trying to recover. My house suffered {$17000.00} worth of damage. Insurance paid the claim in XXXX making the check payable to my self and Ditech Financial. I endorsed the check and sent it overnight with a paid over package for return. I have been trying to get Ditech to release some funds so I can complete repairs to my home. I am unable to pay my mortgage this month because I have used all monies I had to purchase material to make the home safe to live in. Ive sent in pictures, estimates and material cost as requested, but I have not received one dollar as of this point from Ditech. Every time I call the claims department a different representative tell me something different. I need the money the insurance company paid for the claim so I can repair my home. I do not know what else I can do to get them to release some money for repairs.

Complaint: I have been in dispute with Ditech ( mortgage lender ) since XX/XX/2018. My XX/XX/XXXX payment was taken from my bank account but never reflected to my mortgage account. The amount in dispute is {$1700.00}. I have submitted all my documents both uploaded and again sent certified mail on XX/XX/18, after several attempts to resolve. I was asked to fax my documents only to run in to the issue where their fax machine either rings off the hook or a busy signal. I have been in constant communication with them both in writing and verbally.
To add insult to injury, I am now getting Collection calls from XXXX, my so call agent after she knows that I am currently in dispute with them. I have never, ever received a collections call for my debts, especially from Ditech.
It gets better, I buy my homeowners insurance through them, and I have now been threatened with cancellation due to this horrific mess that is still unresolved.
