Complaint: Ditech mortgage will not stop charging for optional insurance long after it has been cancelled. I have a cancellation letter dated XX/XX/2017 and the optional insurance continue to be billed. Even though the insurance was just {$33.00}, the non-payment generates late fees and causes the mortgage payment to appear on the mortgage statement as " suspended. '' In reality the optional insurance is paid to the XXXX. The cancellation letter goes to me but it is unclear how Ditech is informed. This much is true, when I called Ditech on XX/XX/2017 and talked to XXXX and then to XXXX to complain about the continuing charges, late fees, and late payments due to their " suspensions '' I was told that XXXX is responsible for the charges not Ditech.

Complaint: My mortgage company sent me a solicitation ( attached ) to refinance my loan. I feel that this is a deceptive letter because it highlights the monthly payment reduction without making it clear that if the loan goes to term I will actually pay nearly {$100000.00} more than the original loan. This is exactly the kind of predatory practice that caused the great recession. Why are companies like this allowed to " trick '' unsophisticated consumers into thinking they will be saving money rather than paying out vastly more in the end. I look forward to hearing what you can do about this.

Complaint: I am writing to cfpb to get help with my home I have a loan with ditech since 2001 who is a predatory lender. They will not work with me on loan. The original loan was XXXX in 2001 they have my payoff as XXXX, It is a manufactured home the county only value the property at XXXX. I think the contract is invalid did not do a lot of stuff promised to us in the contract. I do not want to lose my property. My parents gave me the land that the house is on. Please help me to keep my property I have been trying to get help for years.

Complaint: A Ditech mortgage appears on my credit reports from XXXX and XXXX. I contacted both reporting agencies and advised I have never had a Ditch mortgage or Ditech loan of any sort. Neither credit reporting agency has removed the incorrect information. XXXX advised I should contact CFBP for assistance. The one and only mortgage I 've had in my lifetime began with XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. When XXXX shut down, my mortgage was sold to XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ). In XX/XX/XXXX, I refinanced with XX/XX/XXXX who, to this day, still holds the mortgage. Again, I have never had a mortgage or loan with Ditech and want the Ditech mortgage removed from my XXXX and XXXX credit reports. I have no documentation to attach as the Ditech mortgage is not mine, and XXXX XXXX, and Ditech can not provide any documentation on this alleged Ditech mortgage showing on my credit reports. I would greatly appreciate assistance in getting this fraudulent entry removed from all credit reporting agencies ASAP.

Complaint: Attempt to transfer a credit mortgage to me without consent : The following issue paid and closed around XXXX at time of XXXX contract was signed by me XXXX initial opening in XXXX. Same was after around 11 years of payments was repossessed / by Greentree for missing a few payments remaining on the total sale to have the trailer, I lost my job and was unable to meet the payments and didnt have any finical recourse at the time, later greentree submitted garnishment of taxes, to the state, til the bill was paid and later sent me a statement of it having been paid in the mail, it was purchased by someone else and rented out for a number of years up til present XXXX began getting a notice from Ditech, along with a list of theft use on my credit of party 's trying to obtain mortgages using my identity without my consent. The Greentree company location was burned and this is someone with a confused issue. Any recent matters are identity theft, trying to use my credit at this location. Property does not belong to me and should not be in my name.

Complaint: Ditech again misappropriated my funds to create any financial hardship it can to facilitate a default since it knows I am unemployed and Ditech refused to provide a HAMP modification for a completed XX/XX/XXXX application.
Ditech is overcharging me and putting the money in escrow. It is attempting to use the fact that the escrow account is mine and therefore it is not taking money.
However, it is still a misappropriation of funds and an increase in my note that I should not be paying.
I was paying an additional {$10.00} per month for a total of {$1100.00} because there was an escrow shortfall. It was cured on XX/XX/XXXX, and in fact my escrow account is ahead. Yet, Ditech refused to make the adjustment in XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX when new escrow estimates are supposed to take effect.
Also, Ditech placed {$72.00} in funds in suspense and then put the money in escrow. My note does not allow funds in suspense to be put into escrow. I asked for a refund and Ditech refuses. My note allows for refunds.

Complaint: Ditech Mortgage company has up to this date, has never reimbursed me for fees they billed my account in error and validated it was their error. They acknowledged the mistake ONLY AFTER the CFPB was contacted with case XXXX. Each month they have given me the run around since XX/XX/XXXX and failed to provide me with the money. I have no other alternative to seek CFPB assistance in obtaining my money XXXX and would like to request funds with interest. I have been calling each month on the funds owed. Each month I have been advised they were processing the refund. In XX/XX/2017 I called, requested to speak to a Manager, but was advised there was no one to speak with me. The agent assured me the money would be transferred at the latest in my bank account by end of month XX/XX/2017. I was asked to provide my checking account and bank routing number. I am trying to bring my account current with an IRA hardship withdrawal but this company has done nothing to make their error, right. Please assist, this is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to do business with, thankfully there are agencies like this created to protect the consumer and track this companies dealings.

We filed for a chapter XXXX bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX. Our Bankruptcy was discharged on XX/XX/XXXX ( enclosed ). Our mortgage was paid up to date at the time of filing and not included in the Chapter XXXX. Our mortgage was with XXXX, then Green Tree mortgage took it over and we continued making our monthly mortgage payments for the same amount, but only receiving an " informational statement '' ( enclosed ) that showed only the payments we made, no principal, interest or escrow balances, and to this date almost 4 years later we are still receiving those same statements. Green Tree/Ditech mortgage still has our loan in " active bankruptcy '' to this date. I found that out when I checked my credit report last XX/XX/XXXX and I have been calling them since XX/XX/XXXX after I saw on my credit report that no mortgage payments were listed on XXXX credit reporting agencies, XXXX and XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX! So I started to call Green Tree in XX/XX/XXXX to see what was going on. I have spoken to many people since last XX/XX/XXXX and have their names and dates of calls, our conversations all written down. For the first few months, XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX I thought I was speaking directly to Green Tree and every one promised the " active bankruptcy '' status would be removed. They said they had our Discharge papers. Then on the next call I made in XX/XX/XXXX, because I was still receiving those informational statemens I was informed I was speaking to " national bankruptcy department '' and I should fax green tree my discharge papers and let them know I was not aware I had not been speaking to them directly and speaking to a bankruptcy agent. I was shocked and felt I had been lied to so I did as they said and faxed a letter and the discharge papers on XX/XX/XXXX. ( enclosed ) I thought that would certainly take care of things. It did not. I now call every week and only for the person I speak to to tell me they will " escalate '' my request to have the " active bankruptcy '' removed from our mortgage. As of now I believe it has been escalated at least 10 times or more, and with that I would get a " normal '' statement showing our payments, principal, interest and escrow balances. I have no idea what those are to this date and it has caused me so much stress that I even have cried when I thought someone was really going to help me. It just takes one person to remove this and to no avail on my part it is to this date still not been done, I have asked several times to speak with a supervisor and have been told I could n't. Then recently I got lucky ( I thought ) and I was put through to a XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and she told me she would take care of it in 24 hours! I was thrilled and cried and thanked her with all my heart and she even gave me her extension XXXX. So here I waited and called a few days later, still on active bankruptcy, I left her several voice messages for 2 weeks and still have not heard back from her, I begged her to return my call. Not a call back yet and today is XX/XX/XXXX a month later. This has caused my husband and me a great hardship, as we would like to refinance our mortgage at a lower rate or sell our home. I could go on and on about the calls I have made and the promises they have made to me about removing this stupid active bankruptcy status, they have the discharge papers and have had them for almost a year now, please help us, I do n't know what else I can do. We paid off our bankruptcy debt and did all the right things, never thinking that this would be something to keep us from moving on with our lives and repairing our credit. What they are doing to us by not removing us from " active bankruptcy '' for almost one year now has caused so much uneeded stress in my life I just cant tell you how serious this is and making me sick

Complaint: My wife was laid of in XXXX of XXXX and we applied for a loan modification through our mortgage company, Ditech, in XXXX. All documentation was received and cleared by them in XXXX of XXXX. We were instructed by Ditech that it would take approx. 60 days to review the information and get back to us with the decision. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I have called Ditech many times with no resolve. Each time I have called a representative states that it is still being reviewed by underwriters and to call back next week. This is until last week on Friday XXXX. I have called 3 times and it does not connect me with or give me any option to talk to a live person but directs me to a voicemail. I have left XXXX message and have not been called back with an update of the status. At this point, due to financial constraints we are substantially behind in our mortgage and need help with no support or resolution in site. Please help.
