Complaint: I have been on time with my payments to Discover CC. I have requested numerous times if my APR can be lowered since I am a good customer, and I ALWAYS hear " we are unable to lower your APR at this time. '' The reason being?! Who knows?! It isn't because I pay late, because I don't. I haven't missed a payment. They keep it high because they can. I haven't used this CC since the beginning of the year. How are we supposed to be able to pay off balances when the APR charge is nearly as much as your monthly payment, which is over {$200.00} a month?! *My monthly payment has been around {$220.00}, and the total in interest fees they take is approx {$160.00}!! I'm shelling out to these people over {$200.00} a month and only a quarter of that ... {$56.00} ... is even touching my balance. All I'm asking is for a lower APR so my family has a chance to pay this debt off as I'm making faithful payments monthly. I think this is thievery and it should be stopped.

XXXX tracking number XXXX was clearly returned to the merchant on XX/XX/18, at XXXX XXXX, signed by XXXX, delivered in XXXX, IA, the home office location of the retailer. As of today, retailer neglected to process the credit. Additionally, Discover card could have taken 30 seconds to type in the above tracking information to show that the item was returned to the retailer. Rather, Discover card relied on the original proof of delivery provided by the retailer which is irrelevant.

Complaint: Hello, My name is XXXX, I have been a discover card member for several years. During my years with discover I had several financial struggles which led to the misuse of my credit card. I recently graduated from college in XX/XX/XXXX, and I paid off my remaining balance as soon as I got a stable job. I am writing this letter to ask if it would be possible to remove the two 30 day missed payments in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX that I acquired during my time with discover. My goal was to pay off this card and I did. I would really like it if you could remove these two late payments. I am currently working on improving my credit score by paying off the debts that I acquire during college. I plan on going to grad school in a couple of years and I need to improve my credit to obtain loans. I am asking if it is in any way possible to remove those 2 missed 30 day payments. Complaint: Discover personal loans does not maintain accurate financial information if accounts. The also employ deceptive practices to sell loans to customers which in reality appear to be credit accounts or credit cards with no fixes amortization schedule. The payoff changes with, extending the monies due and term without notification or authorization. Numerous payments ahead or on schedule does not reduce the principle balance. Numerous times have occurred where no principe or interest applied to the payoff balance. They are unwilling to account for the discrepancy or respond in writing for forms request. Agents have stated that customers who paid up to a year in advance are charged additional daily interset as common practice. No response from the company and lack of any responses, let alone valid information about accounts leads me to believe that have an unethical culture and are intentionally hiding fraudulent and unlawful practices.

Complaint: I have tried to get discover card to remove an account that is listed on my credit. It is not now, nor has it ever been my account. I have put more then the recommended amount of effort into it. I have at this time exhausted all resources, all abilities, and it is to no avail. Please help me get discover to remove this account that does not belong to me. This is in reference to another complaint filed. It was stated that a police report was never provided, when it was. Complaint: I co-signed a student loan for my nephew. His monthly payment is {$100.00}. He is late on his XXXX payment, and I have been repeatedly harassed by Discover Student Loans for the past several days. Today alone, they called at XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX., XXXX XXXX., XXXX XXXX., and just now at XXXX XXXX., when I told the person on the other end I was filing a complaint for harassment. What did the person do? HANG UP ON ME! In addition to these repeated calls, this is what I have had to endure : -REPEATED emails -A letter in the mail threatening, " We provide payment history to consumer reporting agencies each month, so please remember to pay the past due amount and the regular monthly payment to bring your account current. '' ( I encourage you to check my credit history! It is impeccable! ) -I could not figure out why I started getting REPEATED calls AND TEXT MESSAGES from companies offering to help me pay my loans. I could not figure out why, but now I know they got MY INFORMATION from DISCOVER! AGAIN, CHECK MY CREDIT! This is severe harassment against someone with impeccable credit because my nephew is ONE MONTH behind on his loan payment. Here are a few of those messages : " HI XXXX. You could be pre-approved 4 up to 5K in assistance. '' From XXXX ( XXXX ) Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX. " Greetings XXXX. you may be approved 4 as much as 2K in assistance. '' From XXXX ( XXXX ) Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX. " XXXX, I want to make sure we have a call. Call me back to talk about forgiveness for past college cost. '' From XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX. I have blocked each of these numbers and have reported them, but when is enough, enough?? PLEASE HELP ME STOP DISCOVER FROM HARASSING ME!

Did you receive monies from an insurance claim that paid off the alleged account balance? * Did they even fund the account or did you? * Did you take tax credits? * Are you the creditor or really just the servicer? * Did you disclose that you were charging me for the insurance premium to protect against asset loss? * Did you get your approval in writing agreeing to the amount of the premium as require by law? * Did you get the insurance payoff prior to charging off the account? * Is the contract creating the account even valid since they lacked full disclosure and equal risk? * Did you even have a certified copy of the original contract bearing both my signature and your authorized representative 's signature? * Can you provide a full accounting showing every charge, every payment, every fee, every interest charge, every credit -including the insurance claim monies received, and any other amount along with the date each event occurred? *This does not mean you get to send me monthly billing statements. You need a full history document ). You need to respond point by point on each issue raised and provide documentation for everything you claim. Plus, verification requires a sworn affidavit, so that's how you need to respond.
