Complaint: I have a loan with DISCOVERBANK and XXXX XXXX. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX and DISCOVERBANK and XXXX XXXX with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

Complaint: I have been trying to get a {$0.00} balance off my account. The minimum payment is {$1.00} but you can't make a payment of more than what you owe. I am stuck. Discover Student Loans claims it has been working to resolve this issue for months. They have continued to mislead me by patronizing statements and claiming I would receive documents explaining the situation and I have not. This student loan still shows on my credit report because the loan is not closed. There is seemingly no reason in Discover 's own words, that I owe them anything yet they continue to have this account open with a balance. Discover Financial had {$93.00} billion in assets in 2016. You expect me to believe that you don't have the IT infrastructure to solve this in less than 3 months? This is predatory. You are trying to export me and I will not stand for it.

Complaint: Every week on Thursday, I receive approximately 2-4 calls from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have told them three times I am not who they are looking for and don't know how they have received my number. They claimed all three times that they have submitted a form into their system, stating the number is not the correct number. When they call, it is while I am in the middle of a shift at work, and I now have to silence my cell phone to ensure I don't get into any trouble with my employer. This affects me because if my fiance has a medical emergency or something happens to one of my family members, I am unable to hear the call.

Complaint: I recently applied for the Discover IT Card. After going through the verification process which included answering a series of questions and uploading a copy of my driver 's license ; I was approved for {$9500.00} in credit. My card has only been active a few days, and I've already been met with a series of roadblocks. The only purchase that I've made with the card was a purchase on yesterday XX/XX/XXXX for a dozen of XXXX. I contacted Discover on yesterday XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about on what day of the month Discover reports to the credit bureaus. I also inquired about setting up my pin number, as it is a new card. I verified my identity with the agent. She was unsure about the reporting date which I found strange, but she still offered to put me through the automated system which would allow me to set my pin. Instead she sent me to the Fraud Department. The representative in the Fraud Department stated that it must be a mistake, verified my identity again, and then forwarded me to the automated system by which allowed me to set my pin. I received an email this morning XX/XX/XXXX stated that Discover frequently monitors my account, and that there was information that was unable to be verified. I found this to be strange as well because I went through a verification process in order to get approved for the card. The email directed me to send to Discover a copy of my driver 's license, and to fill out the SSA-89 Form, so that Discover could contact the Social Security Administration to verify my social security number. I did comply. After faxing the documents over I contacted Discover and was told that I was randomly selected to go through this process. After explaining the order of events ; I informed the representative that this was impossible because of the email I received. I whole heartedly that this entire episode is negligence and discriminatory at best.

Complaint: My father had a XXXX and we wanted to send him to the XXXX. of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( known as " XXXX '' ) to address XXXX XXXX caused by the XXXX. Unfortunately, Dad did not feel well enough to attend the program. We had put a down payment for the program on Discover Card. When Dad decided he could not attend, we advised XXXX that he would be unable to attend. XXXX informed us that they had not been paid the down payment because Dad had reported it as " fraud '' on his card. XXXX continues to inform us that they have never received the down payment for his attendance. However, Discover Card insists that the down payment was made through Discover card to XXXX. XXXX advises us that they have never been paid and Discover Card advises us that they paid XXXX. Discover Card is holding my father accountable but as far as we can tell, XXXX never received any funds from Discover Card. Then Discover Card " investigates '' this matter and finds against my father.
