Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Complaint: Company would not offer refinancing unless credit was perfect or never missed payment. Any logical person would know If payments were affordable there would be no need to refinance. Also Variable interest lending to a XXXX year old student desperate to receive an education is just not right. It is almost predatory. I will accept the responsibility of being a uninformed borrower. But the simple fact I can send money and pay but never pay the loan down if i miss a $ 700+ payment is utterly ridiculous. Which means company will collect thousands of dollars and say I owe more. This ruining my life and the life of others. This preventing many people from being productive citizens.

Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I made a payment of {$1900.00} on my Discover credit card that resulted in a balance of XXXX. After the payment processed I made multiple purchases between, XX/XX/2019- XX/XX/2019, that totalled {$910.00}. Today, XX/XX/2019, while attempting to make a purchase at a XXXX. My credit card was declined and I learned that my credit limit was unknowingly decreased from {$2000.00} to {$500.00}. I proceeded to contact Discover and a representative informed me that notification of the decision was being mailed out to me. This presents a problem, as I'd already made purchases that exceed the amount of my new credit limit prior to it having been lowered. Additionally, this results in my revolving credit usage percentage for this card now being around 200 %. Which negatively impacts my credit score and report. I am very upset by this. Had they'd made and communicated the decision to lower my credit limit upon me making my last payment. I would have refrained from using the card. I feel that everything was processed and communicated poorly.

Complaint: I made a payment on XX/XX/19- I have the prrof of the call on my call log- I also have a confirmation number at home- however I am currently out of town on buisiness. I went to a resturant for my lunch and after my meal my card was declined. I called and asked why the card was not approved and they said my payment was past due- I advised I made a payment and they asked if it went through my bank account- after checking I said it did not. They said if I made a payment I could make my account active. I made a {$350.00} payment over the phone and they said my account was still unfortuently locked and that I would not be able to use my card for 24 hours until it cleared. I have been out of town for work and they are leaving me stranded with no money. I have been an excellent paying cutomer for 2 years with payment on time every single month and there is nothing they can do to help when their system caused the issue. I am not a fan of discover and I will be sure to let everyone know how bad their customer satisfaction is -- especially for a one time occurance. And not to mention the " missed payment '' is 4 days " late '', so not being able to unlock this acocunt that has always been in good standings is a little excessive.

Complaint: I have had my Discover card stolen from me while I was shopping at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, located in XXXX, CA on XX/XX/2018.
Discover was notified as soon as the loss was realized - basically next day -Police report - XXXX # XXXX - was filed later ONLY because it was expected that Discover would keep the promise to always support its LOYAL customer -Police detective called Discover to confirm the report filed -Copy of the police report was sent to Discover. Discover said that they will hold me accountable for the charge and refused to treat this as credit card fraud. Furthermore, they reported me to the credit bureaus for disputing the account. After months of calling and trying to get this resolved, they told me they wouldn't do it.

Complaint: I was set up for autopay with Discover because I was promised a lower rate and payment when I came off of the hardship program. I came off of the hardship program and not only did my rate and payment not lower, they also suspended my account. I called on XX/XX/19 and advised them that I was removing the autopay from the account and I physically took my bank information out of their website so that they couldn't pull the payment. So, I told them verbally on the phone and then removed my bank account info from the account. My payment is not due until XX/XX/19 and apparently they started pulling my payment as soon as I said I was cancelling the autopay. they pulled the payment without my consent or knowledge and over drafted my bank account. I called to have them reverse it and they refused. First they confirmed that I did cancel on XX/XX/19 and transferred me to another department who either wasn't in yet or just didn't answer the phone because my call was disconnected. When I called back, they had changed the notes in the system and said that I called on XX/XX/19 to stop the autopay. I explained that I called on XX/XX/19 and asked that they return my payment to my account along with the XXXX overdraft fee that they caused. They stated that due to the notes made by the person I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX, they could not return my payment, I asked what notes could that be since I flat out told them DO NOT PULL MY PAYMENT I AM CANCELLING THE AUTOPAY. All he could do was repeat that they would not return the money to my account even though my payment is not due until XX/XX/19. They stole from me in my eyes. They took a payment when they were told in no uncertain terms that they were not authorized to take. And then they changed the " notes '' in their system in order to back themselves up. I want my money back and I honestly would like theft charges filed against them.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX is running a scam where they tell customers they will pick up their vehicle from autobody shop, they let the car sit for days and charge you for those days of car sitting there. Office doesn't pick up phone when you call, it rings off the hook. XXXX XXXX customer service is just as bad, I had to initiate disputes twice with them but no one ever reached out to me to investigate ask for supporting documentation which I absolutely have. Reviewing XXXX reviews of this location there are all 1 star reviews with several attesting to same issues of being charged for days car sat in lot and no one picking up phone ( I included screenshots of 3 such similar complaints which are dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, which shows this fraudulent behavior is gross and ongoing for years ( Text copy and pasted below, as well ). Apparently this is a recurring incident with them, and I don't understand how they stay in business with their horrendous customer service.

Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. The information listed below, which appears on my credit report, is the result of identity theft.
Account Name : DISCOVER FIN SVCS LLC Charge : {$1300.00} Date : XX/XX/2016 I recently received a response to a dispute that I made under FCRA 611 ( a ) regarding an erroneous item on my credit report involving an account fraudulently opened. Somehow they veried the disputed item, electing to leave it on my report.
I am absolutely certain that the item I disputed is incorrect and should be removed. I am hereby exercising my rights under FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 7 ) to request a complete description of all methods used to investigate my aforementioned dispute.
I am very interested to learn how your investigator ( s ) arrived at this erroneous conclusion. I would like to see a complete list of all documents and correspondence with. I demand proof that you went through all the proper and logical steps that would have been necessary to validate or refute my dispute. Please include all names and contact information of employees that you spoke to as part of this investigation.
I have sent several times my FTC Identity Theft Report, proof of my identity and a copy of my credit report showing the fraudulent account.
