Complaint: The credit line on my Discover card was lowered from XXXX to XXXX because my credit bureau report in XXXX 2016, showed unusually high balances, and no payment on my Discover card. However, all of these balances have been paid off in full or were due to fraudulent activity on my credit cards. For example, whatever was due on my Discover was due to fraud, and the Discover fraud department cleared all the unauthorized charges to bring me to a XXXX balance. My credit bureau report as of now shows XXXX balance due on ALL my credit cards ; my credit shows PERFECT now as it should. It is not right that Discover should penalize me by lowering my credit line due to unauthorized fraudulent activity out of my control that showed temporarily on my credit bureau reports. There are fraud alerts on all XXXX of my credit bureaus now to prevent this from happening again. My credit bureaus shows perfect again with XXXX balance due on all my credit cards. I request that in fairness Discover reinstate my proper credit line of {$13000.00}.

Complaint: for many years I have had my Discover cash back linked to my XXXX account allowing me pay for my XXXX purchases with my Discover cash back. A few days ago Discover disconnected my Discover cash back from my XXXX account taking away my ability tto pay for my XXXX purchases with Discover cash back. I call Discover asked why? Discover told me because I had refused to give them the ability to sell my personal data to third parties they were removing my Discover cash back link from XXXX. NOTHING in my Discover credit agreement allows for Discover to withhold contracted priviledges afforded any other Discover card holder nor is there any EXTORATION if the dedtor refused to allow personal information to be sold to third parties - yes EXTORATION!

Not given enough info to verify debt
Complaint: I have been in a dispute of an alleged credit card account that I am not aware of at all and It has been in a judgment in superior court for 2 times since XXXX ( very unawares ) and XXXX ( did not want to resolve the matter in XXXX from scheduled date and it was made on XXXX ). I have presented questions for the opposing party, DISCOVER BANK, by way of a law firm, in for them to answer and they have refused tremendously in answering the questions. This is why I have not received cooperation in regards to this alleged account and I would like assistance on this matter most urgently. I have had a court date that was designed for XXXX XXXX and there was an apparent court date for XXXX XXXX that was issued but not to wait for the XXXX XXXX date that was awaited by myself in appearing in court for that particular date. Altogether, this alleged account is in scruples and is very tiresome of the opposing party in answering questions that has been involved in gathering the history of this account, with any supposed credit card application, or signature of the alleged account and this is very disturbing for me, be it that I have been under identity theft with my social security #, or address, or phone number ( s ). I need help in resolving this issue, be it that I am in a judgment notice of " Right to have Exemptions designated '' and it is very disturbing of the opposing party in answering questions pertaining to this alleged debt that refused so many times.

Complaint: I had a 12 months CD with Discover Bank with a Maturity Date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Discover Bank broke my CD, canceled my account on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and sent the funds to the Treasury of Pennsylvania in a escheatment process. Discover Bank did not send me any warning or notice of this action either before or after the fact and they took this action with out my consent. I would not have even found out this action took place if I did not call the bank on XXXX XXXX, XXXX because of the missing XXXX INT for this account for tax filing purposes. This 12 months CD automatically rolled over into a new 12 CD unless I told the bank otherwise during the grace period before the new 12 months CD started. I did receive a notice about this dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX. When I spoke with Discover Bank and found out about this action on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I asked the bank to retrieve the funds from the Treasury of PA. Discover Bank told me that the funds have already been sent and is " out of their hands '' and that I should contact the Treasury of PA to get my funds back. I then called the Treasury of PA and they told me that the funds will not show up in their system until about 6 months time. The Treasury of PA then told me to call back Discover Bank and ask them to retrieve the funds because they were only recently sent. I called back Discover Bank on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and told them that the Treasury of PA suggested that they retrieve my funds back for from from the Treasury of PA. Discover Bank told my " they do n't do this '' because the laws are different in all XXXX states. Note, there is a form for financial institutions to retrieve customer funds from the Treasury of PA on the Treasury of PA 's website. But, Discover Bank was unwilling to do this for me. Discover Bank should not be allowed to offer CD 's that automatically roll over if they are going to confiscate the funds from such CD 's through the escheatment process. I feel cheated and I was cheated. The CD that I had with Discover Bank was in an interest baring account. And, now my funds from this CD have been sent to a non interest baring account at the Treasury of PA for possibly 6 months or more if I am able to get my funds back at all.

Complaint: Discover prepaid card said on their website they would approve me if I made a deposit. They lied and left a negative query on my credit report. They asked for information about my identity and I provided it ( a XXXX with all of my information on it! ) and they still denied me. I went through a lot of trouble to get this and all Discover did was hurt my credit report and harvest information about me! violating privacy laws and being a creepy, lying comapany.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/16 my Discover Card was charged {$47.00}, without my approval, for a subscription to a mobile application. Withstanding the charge not being authorized, the subscription for which I was charged was not credited or applied to any account or mobile device in which I possess. That is to say, no benefit was received.
After contacting the Merchant directly, and finding them unable to assist ( due to incompetence or failure to understand the issue ), I issued I charge-back with Discover Card ( case number XXXX ). When the Merchant responded with information ( see Appendix A ) that was blatantly contradictory to my previous communications with them ( see Appendix B ), I notified Discover via writing of this fact ( see Appendix C ).
Despite the clear and evident failure of the merchant to faithfully represent the nature of the charge, and my clear an unequivocal statement that no benefit was received, Discover Card denied my dispute despite their promise of a " XXXX-liability Guarantee '' ( see Appendix D ).
After a review of the documents in which Discover attached to the case, it became apparent to me that Discover Card deliberately and systematically censored all relevant information pursuant to my appeal. That is, they blacked out relevant dates, and other information in the appeal I submitted, which clearly highlighted inconsistencies in the Merchant 's claim. This action undoubtedly led to the improper denial of my dispute. ( See pages XXXX of this letter ; Appendix C. ) Unfortunately, in this case Discover Card has acted in a manner which is inconsistent with its promise to deliver top-notch customer service, and XXXX-liability for fraudulent transactions. In denying my appeal Discover chose to censor and suppress contradictory information rather than evaluate it in accordance with the Cardholder Agreement.
For this reason, I consider Discover Card to be in breach of its obligations for which it is bound, and to be acting in a manner illustrative of disregard of its obligations. It behooves me to think of all the similar claims Discover suppressed in the spirit of appealing to Merchants as opposed to seeking a just resolution.

Complaint: Discover claims to offer " price protection '' guarantee in which they reimburse you the difference for an item if a lower price for the item is found within 90 days. I purchased an Apple Watch from the XXXX XXXX for full retail price of {$400.00}. Just a few weeks later, numerous big retailers such as XXXX XXXX for {$100.00} less. I made my purchase using the Discover Card, thinking that I 'd be covered in such a case, as promised.
After weeks of mind-numbing waiting on hold, resubmitting the same documents, and being told contradictory information, Discover ultimately declined to honor their price protection guarantee. I provided receipts of my original purchase, along with evidence of the new lower price. In fact, the newer lower price has been everywhere, so it would n't take more than a Discover employee bothering to take a look.
Customer service is of lackluster standards, and as someone who uses services from numerous other financial institutions, I have a lot to compare to. It is near-impossible to reach a customer service representative who is willing to help you at all. Nearly all of them will claim that they can not help you on your issue, but wo n't bother to transfer you to anybody who can. Or will even incorrectly transfer you to further waste your time.

Need information about my balance/terms
Complaint: My private student loans that are currently in repayment with Discover Student Loans have an astronomical interest rate and minimum payment. After having a huge mishap on their part because they were unable to inform me that I had missed a payment, decided to refinance with another loan carrier. In this process, I needed to contact Discover to print me a new statement that showed I was current with my payments and had no balance left over for the month so that I could send my completed application to the bank I was refinancing with. After telling me that they would send the new statement, I waited five days and never received it. They " sent me another '' statement. Another three days and never received it. I was then told that they could not even make me a new statement hat showed this information and that they would fax a lenders letter that showed the information I needed. I waited four days for that fax and called everyday. Those four phone calls ended with " it will be sent in the next 24 hours. '' Finally on day 4, I spoke to a supervisor who actively attempted to fax the letter himself. Of course, whether it was my fax machine or theirs, I 'll never know, but the fax failed. They then overnighted me the letter. I now have the letter, however the exact information that I was clear about needing is not on the letter. They are now overnighting me a letter that they claim has the information I need. Regardless, because this whole process has now taken almost a month, I have, once again, paid my minimum payment which is XXXX % my monthly income as a teacher. All I needed was up-to-date information about my loans and all the money I have been paying them. A month to receive that information is unacceptable.
