Complaint: I called Discover card to advise them that XXXX ( internet services ) credited {$380.00} to someone else 's account. I had no balance on my ( correct ) account and asked both XXXX and Discover to ensure that this unauthorized payment was not made. The payment was " pending '' when I called these two companies on XX/XX/2017. Both XXXX and Discover representatives ( on a three way call ) advised me on XX/XX/XXXX that the authorization had been removed and that the {$380.00} will not be taken out of my Discover account because it was unauthorized. Today, XX/XX/2017, I learned that after both XXXX and Discover representatives advised me the authorization was removed, XXXX went ahead and again requested the money from Discover and Discover charged my account for that amount, which they had just been advised was unauthorized. Both XXXX and Discover representatives were fully aware this was fraud. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get the money stolen from me refunded to my account. As of today, the money has not been refunded. I believe you need to conduct an investigation into these fraudulent practices. Discover and XXXX colluded to defraud me of {$380.00}, and caused additional damages given the amount of time I have had to spend on this matter, without a resolution so far. I am also looking into pursuing a private fraud case against both companies. Let me know what your investigation results are.

Complaint: I opened a savings account with XXXX. I scheduled a transfer of {$200.00} from my discover cash back checking account on XXXX XXXX they said it would be in the savings account on the XXXX it is now the XXXX I checked my savings account the {$200.00} is not there I checked my XXXX account and {$200.00} posted and it said " reverse ach withdraw '' I called XXXX and they said my account was suspended from doing transfer why? I have NEVER done a transfer from this account ever. I have been on hold for 20 mins now and no one can seem to figure it out they just keep saying I 'm reviewing the account let me place you on another hold. I rarely ever call customer service for any company because I like to do things myself I 'm an advocate at a bank the last thing I want to do is be that angry customer but no one can help. I need answers!!!!

Complaint: I have two student loans that were purchased years ago from XXXX by Discover Student Loans. Last XXXX, after months of attempting to set up automatic EXTRA payments on my highest interest account each month without spreading the payment between the two loans, I was able to successfully do this over the phone, which the company said was the only way this type of payment setup could be done. I set it up so that in addition to my minimum payment, which drew automatically from my checking account on the first of every month, that on the second of each month, an additional {$260.00} would be drawn from my checking account to pay down principal on my loan that was nearing ( now over ) 9 %. Today, I called to increase that extra payment to {$580.00} on the second of each month, only to discover that the payments I 've been making for the last 10 months in fact were not going solely to my highest interest loan as I 'd been told they would. They have claimed that this will be corrected retroactively in the next 7 days, but that there will be no notification once the change is made, I 'll simply have to check the balance to see whether it has reduced in the high-interest loan and increase in the low-interest loan. I worry this will have an effect on my XXXX document needed for filing my taxes.

Complaint: I was charged multiple cash advance fees given a peculiar situation in while traveling in XXXX I had to withdraw money from ATM using the Discover card but the XXXX government banned all ATM and only allowed for a person to take out only XXXX which equals roughly around {$30.00} dollars. Given the circumstances I made multiple ATM withdrawals on the same day to have the ability to survive. Discover charged me {$5.00} per every {$30.00} I was only allow to withdraw and refuse to waive the multiple fees since it was an unavoidable issue. Total of {$75.00} in fees.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a 7-day fare-lock service for a XXXX flight with my Discover card. The automatic purchase was not selected at the time of the purchase. Prior to fare lock expiration, I purchased the ticket using the XXXX credit service. After the purchase I received notification from XXXX regarding the recent purchase from XXXX. I chose XXXX due to the promotional offer of 0 % APR for 6 months for purchases over {$99.00}. I noticed the charge on my Discover card several days after the initial purchase. My XXXX credit account is not linked to my Discover credit card. I contacted Discover, XXXX and XXXX XXXX about the use of the incorrect card, initiated by XXXX XXXX, for the purchase of the flight ticket. XXXX stated the charge was pending due to XXXX not taking the necessary steps to confirm the payment. I gave XXXX all relevant information I gathered from XXXX including transaction ID information and was assured by XXXX that an investigation would take place and a resolution would be found. I called XXXX XXXX additional times and was told an investigation was underway. During this time I am also disputing the charge on my Discover account because I did not initiate the flight purchase transaction using my Discover card. I cancelled the flight due to the impending investigation. I am continuing to dispute the transaction on my Discover card because I did not initiate the transaction on my Discover card and XXXX has also supplied information verifying this fact.

Complaint: My complaint is against DISCOVER credit card company, who filed an unjust credit report against me to XXXX. I have been a Discover customer since XX/XX/XXXX, owning a Discover credit card. After opening this card, I have registered it online and asked for " paper-less statements and payment notifications '', giving my email address. Every month the statements and payment notifications were sent by Discover to my email. Based on that, every month I paid my statement in full and on time. During the year of XX/XX/XXXX I have used the Discover card much less. On XX/XX/XXXX I found out, purely by chance, that I had missed the XXXX payment ( {$48.00} that had been due on XX/XX/XXXX ). I immediately called Discover and made the payment. After further clarifications it became clear that my email address had been corrupted in their system, showing a weird domain name, instead of " XXXX ''. As a consequence, I had stopped receiving notifications about statements after XX/XX/XXXX. When I found out that Discover reported me to XXXX ( and possibly additional Credit Bureaus ) for " 30 days non-payment delinquency '', I 've called and requested them to cancel the reporting to the credit bureaus, since the delayed payment is a consequence of the glitch in the Discover system, but their representatives refused to remove the report. In three subsequent conversations, on XX/XX/XXXX, with several representatives and two supervisors, I asked to be contacted by a manager. No attempt was made by Discover to call me back. An additional attempt made by me to talk with a supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX failed, the call was disconnected - and nobody called me back. My written dispute to Discover ( via messaging on discover.com ) was addressed by XXXX, " Escalations Manager ''. XXXX inaccurately claimed " we did try to get in contact with you and left a voicemail on the phone ''. No such thing happened, as my phone records can prove. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I have not heard back with a resolution, and have decided to submit this complaint to CFPB, as I feel that I 've exhausted any possibility of receiving fair treatment from Discover.

Complaint: I 'm using Discover credit card for three months I have earned around XXXX $ cashback and in the end of the first year, they promised to give another same amount on how much we earned as cashback. But they suddenly closed my account without any prior notice so I enquired today they said I had made a payment last month that has been returned back.. actually, I did n't make any payment it was unauthorized so they had added the penalty to my statement I showed up some clarity and canceled my penalty charges. Now, they closed my account and took my XXXX $ cashback n saying that due to security issues they closed!! it can not be reopened you lost the cashback, you can reapply credit card again without any old reward! this also cost me to lose credit score!! this I suspect some fraudulent. They 're not loyal to the customer if we earn more cashback they igniting some errors and closing the account ... this problem faced by a lot of people ... I read it in few websites ... This bank has been absolutely horrendous. I have never had so many issues with a bank or been so disrespected in my life. Complaint: discover bank unfunded claims. Discover Bank recently closed my account because they claimed that the continued fraud on my account was concerning. This is after I called them to discuss the transaction that they previously had not seen as disturbing. In their XXXX Discovers backs checks that where posted through multiple times and activity from target card. All of which was explained in documents sent to them that morning XX/XX/2017. The XXXX Transactions in questions were done fraudulently although I did willing link my target debit card to my discover bank account. In the affidavit sent to XXXX on these charges it clearly explains what happened. Discover Bank is claiming the account can still be compromised because they could use the target card to access the account and get the account number. XXXX XXXX does not store the full account number online. XXXX in the affidavit it states that I know who took the card and that the card was back in my possession. So there was no one the account could continue to be compromised. As for the checks. XXXX has a pending complaint for me about running those checks through multiple times without my permission on XXXX. The complaint is attached in this. Without the multiple returned check fees plus the small deposits I received the account would not be overdrawn. As shown in previous complaint that Discover has yet to answer my Discover debit card was unable to be used and I had recently lost my debit card to my XXXX account. Those accounts are linked so I can transfer between the XXXX but I needed to make deposits via mobile to another account. I will admit that my transfer from Discover and then transfer from XXXX could be problematic and it was. As I try to transfer between the XXXX and Discover. Discover would reject the deposits. A print out of my credit between XXXX and today date XX/XX/2017. To show that my XXXX account had funds in it to complete the transfer had they allowed. So essentially for me. I had {$360.00} in XXXX fees plus {$160.00} in direct deposits from my employer and another {$300.00} transaction from the fraudulent target transaction that would have covered checks written. Because I did not have access to my debit card. Checks where the only way I could move money from Discover. XXXX had informed me they worked on the fraud case and that it was settled but nothing was settled which is why I called Discover and sent them the documents asking them to help in removing the NSF fees on my account.

Complaint: To whom it may concern, I have been charged a late payment APR by Discover for the last few years because of missing one payment XX/XX/XXXX. Based on the Credit Card Act of XX/XX/XXXX, I believe this has been done unfairly and in a manner that is against the law. To my knowledge, I demonstrated six months of consecutive on-time payments, but did not see m y original rate restored. In addition, I 'm not even sure I was the full 60 days late required to even trigger the default rate. I have repeatedly contacted Discover about this and they have told me that they will not lower my interexst rate and have been generally unhelpful in addressing my situation.
