Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Hello,
I didn't make any of these charges. I've never heard of these places, I didn't buy anything, I didn't receive anything from them. Discover card is not fixing this for me at all. I've called, emailed, mailed them, faxed them, they are convinced I'm meant to pay for this. They have no clue what they are doing. It's a "secured" card so maybe that has something to do with it.
I need every charge I've listed here refunded. It's a fact I didn't make these charges. I'm not responsible because I simply didn't make them. This is ridiculous. I don't want anymore contact with these people. I just need every transaction I've listed here refunded. I know these individuals don't care about anything but I'm going to need these charges permanently reversed. This is ridiculous. Complaint: I previously have a private student loan with Discover Financial Services i n the amount of {$49000.00}. I also have a private loan with XXXX which is about the same amount along with the federal loan in excess of {$30000.00}. I incurred these loans during my 5 years in college between the years XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX . Six m onths after graduation All lenders began to request monthly payments. The combined amount was over $ 1000 monthly . Discover requesting {$480.00} a month. Unfortunately, this was a hardship. I spoke with XXXX along with my mother who cosigned the loan and I was able to come to be enrolled in a program that affords me lower payments. T hen I called Discover to see if I could get the same kind of arrangement once I explained my hardship. I was told on numerous occasions that there was nothing that they could do to assist me. Disappointed I just sent all the lenders what I could afford. I just received a letter that my loan wit h Discover has b een sent to a collecttion agency XXXX XXXX . I called them to explain my plight and see if they could assist with lower payments. I was told that I would have to pay {$9800.00} as an initial deposit and then {$1100.00} a month for 36 months then they would lower the payments. If I had that I would n't need there assistance. Its a no win with them.

Complaint: On multiple occasions, I 've been in contact with the credit bureaus about this particular account that is registered under my name. I 've tried disputing with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX with no avail. I 've requested for XXXX XXXX to send me a copy of the consumer contract with my signature on it as referenced in the Fair Credit Report Act Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) for verification purposes because I do not recognize this account, and it does not belong to me.
Up to this point, I 've been waiting on the requested information and have been provided with nothing. Therefore, I am requesting for this particular account to be removed from my credit report according to my rights in Section 611 ( 5 ) ( A ).

Trouble with how payments are being handled
Complaint: In XXXX 2017 my Company b egan a student loan repayment program, designed to help employees pay off their student loans. These payments are approved through a third party vendor, and require approvals through submission of paperwork and eligibility. In XXXX 2017 I w as approved and my Company began sending {$100.00} checks t o Discover Student Loans to aid in paying off my loans. I have an auto debit payment schedule with Discover. Prior to entrance into this program, I contacted Discover and explained to them the situation and that a third party vendor would be making payments on top of my current monthly payments. I requested to not have any additional money received to count towards my expected payment amount. Discover has refused to pr operly apply my additional payments, and instead consistently apply them to future due balances, effectively delaying how soon I can pay off my loans and lowering the amounts pulled automatically from my account. I contacted them when I noticed this error, asked to have it corrected, and that any future money received from a third party vendor to be applied directly to principal balance. Since then they have continued to apply my payments incorrectly.

Complaint: On The ending of XX/XX/XXXX I tried to withdraw money from my Discover credit card account, I did withdrew {$500.00} but I was unable to withdraw more cash. So I mailed out three proof of identification for them to have proof that I was the one who was trying to withdraw cash, so then my account was under review. Til yesterday afternoon when I made a phone call to discover card, they closed my account without letting me know ahead of time! Complaint: I have been lied to numerous times by this company. I lost my job and feel a bit behind. When I was contacted by collections they said I would be put on the Fresh Start program, which was a program, where I paid {$90.00} for 3 months and the account would be re-activated. When I called in to make my payment, the collections rep said Well your account is only behind {$120.00} or some weird amount, and said if I was to pay that my credit line would be unfrozen. I paid that, and the account remained frozen. Then I was told that if I paid all the collection accounts on my credit bureau, the account would be unfrozen. To date, I have paid every debt I have with the exception of Discover Card, who I have been current with for months, but they refuse to unlock my credit line dispute my complying with everything they have asked for me to do to unlock my credit line. I even provided them with copies of the letters from my supposed Bad debts from the data-furnisher themselves, and copy of the certified checks sent to them, but they wont unlock the credit line. This company has lied me to at leas t seven times, and their internal collections department will do anything to make you pay more and wont keep up their end of the bargain. These are a bunch of lying thieves who do nothing more than pray off of sub-prime borrowers.

Complaint: I have a Discover credit card. It has been delinquent and I received several voicemails asking me to call or to go online and make payment arrangements on or before end of XXXX , XXXX or the account would be charged off. I made a payment plan arrangement online before the deadline. When I went online the week pf XXXX XXXX to check on status, I was unable to login as my account was in " special status '' and I was instructed to call XXXX , which I did. After a run around, I was told my account had been transferred to another division of Discover and told to contact them at XXXX , but also told they were closed at XXXX cst ( it was XXXX cst when I first called Discover ) . Meanwhile, my father had received a call from a debt collector at XXXX cst today - we presume a debt collector as they did n't identify themselves, but a reverse phone check of the number ( XXXX ) revealed them to be a firm called XXXX XXXX - a firm neither my father or I had ever heard of before. I mentioned this name and number to the Discover rep and they were n't aware of the cos or if the management of my account has been transferred from Discover to XXXX . I submitted a complaint to the CFPB ( complaint # XXXX ) and requested a cease and desist all calls to me or to my father by XXXX XXXX or any authorized agent of Discover UNTIL I get a satisfactory resolution as to the following : 1 ) status of account ; 2 ) access to my account online ; 3 ) explanation why my account was charged off when I had set up an agreed upon payment plan online as requested numerous times by Discover. I received a response from XXXX , but never from Discover Card. Today XXXX XXXX , XXXX , I received in the mail a notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX that they are representing Discover Card and indicated in that letter that I had requested no further communication from Discover Card. As indicated in my complaint XXXX , I requested no communication until 3 resolutions were satisfied. Obviously, Discover Card misinterpreted my instructions.

Complaint: The Discover Card is sued new cards for me on XXXX / XXXX / 2017 . I also received an email on XXXX / XXXX / 2017 that security breach occurred. I called today customer service to find out if my card was affected. The customer rep stated that the company received a message fr om one of its merchants that a security breach occurred. I asked which merchant was affected as I do not plan to use it. The rep declined to provide the name stating its privacy agreement. How do I protect myself against this? I think the Discover company should be transparent in letting know its custo mers which merchant has security weakness so the customers can make the decision whether to use it understanding the dangers.

Complaint: in order to refinance our VA loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , we took the equity in our house and XXXX directly paid off our outstanding balance to Discover Bank. They have taken the money back in XXXX , XXXX or XXXX and still report the debt as outstanding and have consistently failed to clear the account with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . I have contacted the court and they can take no action until Discover Bank officially reports the debt paid in full. I feel that Discover Bank is purposely delaying legal reporting in retribution to actions I have taken against them and feel that they need to be held accountable for their inaction.

Complaint: During the month of XXXX XXXX , XXXX i traveled out of town from XXXX to XXXX XXXX , XXXX . During this time i was gone from college for XXXX XXXX . However a few weeks after i got back i got a letter from Discover saying i was denied a credit line increase request. I never authorized this as is why i claim it fails to establish " Permissable Purpose '' as noted in the FAIR credit reporting act. I have been with discover for nearly a year and a half. In the past i submitted an aplication in XXXX and my credit card application in XXXX XXXX . I have never had an issue with the company up until now. During the year XXXX i found an error on my XXXX credit report of a company named " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. I had never had contact with this business as is why i disputed and placed alerts on all my reports. I extended the alerts and the companies are notified that i have to be contacted before extending any credit. After filing a previous complaint discover insists i made this credit line increase request. I will continue to dispute that i authorized the request because i did not apply for any credit. It is to the best of my knowledge to state i still have those alerts on my files. I recently received correspondence from Discover Executive office of Customer Advo cacy, stating they will not remove that information.

Complaint: I have already submitted this complaint ( Complaint Number XXXX ), however I am unable to log on to CFPB for status using the email address I have provided. Also, the information on the submitted complaint had one inaccurate information, which I have contacted Discover to resolve the matter prior to submitting complaint here, and Discover was unable to resolve the matter. <P/> P rior to opening Discover credit card, I have spoken with a representative/Account representative with Discover a nd confirmed that the balance transfer fee would be 0 % if transferred by XXXX 2017. However, when I received the credit card and signed up online for the transfer, it had 3 % fee for balance transfer if transferred by XXXX 2017. He nce, I 've contacted Discover and the service rep/account rep told me that there was nothing they can do about it because that was what was approved for me. This sounds like bait and switch tactic. I feel mislead. <P/> P.S. My husband received an offer for 0 % balance transfer fee, which is why I had attempted to open Discover, and prior to opening credit card with Discover, I have spoken to Discover account rep for this same offer, which he said yes.
