Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: The debt that this company is reporting is re-aged. According to the original creditor, the date the this debt first became delinquent is XXXX of XXXX. The collection agency has re-aged the debt on my credit report to show XXXX of XXXX as the first date of delinquency. This should have already fallen off of my report in XXXX of XXXX. I have informed the collection agency about my conversation with the original creditor and she told me that did n't matter. She received the debt in XXXX of XXXX and THAT is the date of delinquency according to her. This is a violation of the FCRA. Re-aging the account is illegal. A collection agency should be aware of this. I have disputed this with them and through the credit reporting agencies and they continue to refuse to remove this from my credit report. They are knowingly continuing to verify false information. Also, I paid this debt to the original creditor and they still refuse to even show it as paid.
