Complaint: This company, " Credence Resource Management '' has continued to call and demand I provide personal information, like my social security number and address, and when I refuse, they indicate I have to or they will take legal action. I do n't know who they are or what they are calling about. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list and I keep getting calls.
When I was recently on vacation, they called my phone so many times, that it defeated by " Do Not Disturb '' feature as my phone thought it must be an emergency.
They will not identify themselves, what they are calling about or what company they are calling on behalf of.
When I finally blocked the number on my cell phone, they just started calling from a new number.

Complaint: I was charged by XXXX for service and phones they did not provide me for almost two years. I finally switched to XXXX along with my original numbers and canceled XXXX after paying for nothing for years. Once switched to XXXX XXXX continued to charge me for phones and service I had with another company for months. Every time I called them to let them know I was n't a customer anymore they said a supervisor would call me immediately and never did. XXXX has tried to use a debt collector before to collect debts I do n't owe and they found it in favor of me. Now they are using a company that you ca n't understand the people, their phones crackle and have no service. I recorded our conversations because it was appalling. I told them I do not owe anything to XXXX and dispute the whole charge and they still tried to get me to pay over the phone. The company now that 's an absolute scam with the potential to effect my credit is Credence XXXX

Complaint: I signed up for XXXX XXXX XXXX home security when I upgraded my phone. The XXXX representatives said the system would no more intrusive than my current home security system. However, it was. The installation technician wanted to mount a shoe-box-size box on my living room wall. I told him that was unacceptable and did not want the service. The XXXX tech would not take the equipment back with him, saying I was required to mail the equipment back in the provided box. I told him I was not comfortable with that but he refused to take the equipment. He called his supervisor who told me all I had to do was return the package to the United States Post Office. So I did that. I took the box with the equipment re-packed to a United States Post Office. They accepted the pre-paid package, printed a receipt for me and I thought that was it. Instead, I received a bill for more than {$1700.00} from XXXX a month later. They claim they did not receive the equipment. I told them I had the receipt, including the tracking number. They looked it up and noted that the USPS did indeed receive the package and returned it. However, they could n't find it in their system. So they kept sending me a bill. I kept calling back and explaining the situation to a different representative every time. Every time, they found the tracking number and saw that the USPS has delivered it. They said they would make a note on my account. A month later, I would get another bill. Two days ago they turned it over to a collection agency. Now I am trying to resolve this with the collection agency. There 's no end in sight.

Complaint: XX/XX/2016 A man called from XXXX phishing for my XXXX child 's personal information which included personal health information. He kept pushing for my sons social security number, address, and medical information. Names of relatives, and who his guardian was. I refused to disclose this info. He stated that this bad debt was on my sons credit report.Demanded my sons PII. I later contacted the company after receiving a letter about the debt in question. Complaint: I cancelled my XXXX service on or about XXXX XXXX, 2016. I returned all XXXX equipment per their instructions via a return from my local XXXX in XXXX XXXX, AL. Then, I received a letter from XXXX dated XXXX XXXX, 2016. It said I owed {$170.00}. It did not mention anywhere in the letter what this was for or why I owed the debt. I called XXXX because I have records that I paid my final bill. I was told that it was due to equipment that was not returned. I asked what specific equipment was not returned and then the department call transfers started. Nobody could tell me what specific item was not returned.
On XXXX/XXXX/16 I was assured that a charge for " un returned '' equipment in the amount of {$170.00} would be credited and corrected on my account. Yesterday, XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received a call from the collection agency. The XXXX representive that I spoke to on XXXX/XXXX/16 for 33 minutes ( i have a record of the call date time and duration on my phone that I can provide ) ID number XXXX XXXX XXXX assured me the charges would be corrected because XXXX had clearly made an error and did not log in one piece of the total of XXXX receivers, XXXX TV remotes an internet hub and an internet router. This correction needs to be fixed. I have opened an complaint with consumerfinance.cov ( CFPB ). XXXX needs to step up and correct this HUGE mistake before more damage is done.
