Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I ordered {$20.00} of Bitcoin and {$20.00} of litecoin from Coinbase. They were perfectly fine taking my money, but I can not add a way to sell and get money back. After waiting on hold for TWO HOURS, the customer service rep told me to try again with a bank account and that was all he could do. ( This is all after opening a support ticket approximately one week ago ). I still do not have access to my funds. Coinbase has not contacted me about my open ticket and I am being left hung to dry with no money from it and not being able to get the money I supposedly have on their application. I just want the money I OWN back.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a domestic wire transfer to Coinbase in the amount of XXXX. Coinbase wire info states wire transfers received by XXXX XXXX are credited in that day received. The next day I attempted to call coinbase customer support. After being on hold for 1.5 hrs I talked to a representative that stated they could not help and directed me to their online support site to submit a request. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an e-mail stating the wire would be returned, and to expect payment with in 7 business days. As of today XX/XX/XXXX. I have not received any return of money and have sent other e-mails to coinbase support in time leading up to today. In addition, on XX/XX/XXXX. I called the bank where the wire transfer was destine for XXXX XXXX XXXX for assistance. They directed me to e-mail XXXXXXXXXXXX. As of today XX/XX/XXXX, I have not received a response.

Complaint: Hi, I 'd like to file a complaint against the following company : Coinbase , Inc . XXXX XXXX California United States I have the following trading account username that I 've been using for trading with Coinbase / XXXX ( XXXX is owned by Coinbase ) : XXXXXXXXXXXX I have attempted to withdraw my money out of Coinbase using the XXXX withdrawal method on the following 2 days ( 2 separate transactions ) : 1st transaction : XXXX ofXX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX : XXXX -Withdrawal reference : XXXX -ETA of supposed transaction arrival into my bank account ( quoting an e-mail confirmation from Coinbase ) : " XXXX will arrive in your bank account by XX/XX/XXXX. '' 2nd transaction : -XX/XX/XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX -sum : XXXX -Withdrawal reference : XXXX -ETA of supposed transaction arrival into my bank account ( quoting an e-mail confirmation from Coinbase ) : " XXXX will arrive in your bank account byXX/XX/XXXX. '' None of the 2 transactions have been processed so far, i.e. nothing has arrived into my bank account and I 'm missing the funds worth of XXXX ( EUR ). Hence they are already overdue for many days with these transfers ( from a XXXX law, the XXXX transaction needs to be processed within 2 business days XXXX. I should say that the previous XXXX withdrawals preceding these 2 transfers have been processed on time ( crediting my account no later than the 2nd business day ). I have logged a support case with Coinbase on the XXXX of XXXX with the following ID : Case ID : XXXX. However, I must say that the company owing me my money has not been very cooperative and I have not received any response as to when should the money be credited to my bank account. I tried to phone their customer center but it 's nearly impossible to get an answer from anyone ( was on the waiting line for more than an hour so I dropped out ). I even tried to get in touch via XXXX accounts dedicated to Coinbase support, still no luck. I need to point out that there have been numerous other cases from all the other different people that have been having issues with their XXXX withdrawals from Coinbase. So I 'm not the only one. Complaint: I wired via XXXX XXXX euros to Coinbase on the XX/XX/XXXX17 from XXXX All account details were correct. I have now sent Coinbase 4 messages to either have the fund created my coinbase account and more latterly to have them returned to XXXX. I have not recieved a response from Coinbase. Funds are usual created within 3 days - this transaction has now taken 8 days. I would very appreciate your help to have the funds returned to XXXX as soon as possible.

Complaint: I have been a Coinbase customer for approximately 6 months. No issues until I purchased a new phone and my authentication key was lost. I use a 2 step process for security purposes. At any rate, their process to have that XXXX requires a user to upload a picture of a valid ID XXXX both front and back ) before the process is started. My ID has my entire middle name XXXX XXXX XXXX instead of just my middle initial, which is how I established my XXXX account. At any rate, I have patiently contacted them on numerous occasions via email. Responses are simply cut and paste. At one point I was told that they were investigating the issue but have n't heard back. I attempted to call their customer service line numerous times and eventually was placed on hold by an automated service while waiting for a specialist. I literally sat for 1.8 hours on hold. I have a lot of money in my account and simply want access. Respectfully, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Hi, I have opened a Coinbase account two weeks ago and I have seen a set of odd transactions that either failed or were unclear to me. Furthermore, despite me linking some of my bank accounts with the app, there has been no verification. Same with my ID. They keep asking for pictures of my driver 's license to complete my ID verification, but nothing happens. I have tried since to close the account, with no luck. There is essentially no response coming from coinbase customer support, whether that is on the phone or via email. This is not only unprofessional, but also negligent. Constantly typing in the same information for it just to get rejected is simply not safe. I 'd like coin base to finally be able to close my account.

Complaint: On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I made an " instant purchase '' of XXXX Ethereum from Coinbase.com using settled funds from my USD wallet in the amount of {$5800.00}. Under the circumstances described, the Ethereum was supposed to be delivered instantly, and I was given a guaranteed delivery of XX/XX/XXXX when my funds were nearly instantly withdrawn and the purchase " completed. '' It has been a week, and I have yet to receive the currency I purchased. I have attempted to contact them at least a dozen times through their worthless online support system, as well as their alleged XXXX @ XXXX name, but I have not gotten a single response from a real person at all. I received approximately two automated response emails with links to help articles that did not answer my questions, and was asked to " reply if I still needed help, '' which of course I did but no one ever responds. It has been a week and I feel like they 've stolen nearly {$6000.00} of my money. Not only that, if I were to have received the currency when promised, I would have been able to turn a profit of nearly {$1500.00} because of the spike in value I anticipated and attempted to buy ahead of. But since it 's taking so long for them to deliver the " pending '' Ethereum ( that still says " Delivery by Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX ), my fear now is that by the time they deliver it ( if they ever do ) it wo n't be worth what I paid for it because of their unexcused, unethical delay of currency delivery. I am beginning to think they just stole my money and the situation will never be rectified. No one there even acknowledges that I exist, I have n't gotten a single legitimate response and my problems just goes unanswered. I just want some answers and some rectification.

Complaint: Coinbase is a online stock trading application, that evolves around etherum, lite coin, and bitcoin trading. I deposited about {$320.00} Onto the website to buy bitcoin currency. The currency once purchased, I withdrew to put the amount I earned into the companies holding account to deposit into my bank account. The amount on that account was a residual {$300.00}. So I have lost about {$17.00}. The amount I had for bitcoin was {$2.00}, etherum was {$.00}, and litecoin was {$.00}. I have emailed the company around 25 times within the past 2 months to return the valued currency to my bank account after 5 failed attempts of the company sending verification charges to my banks savings and checking accounts. The frustrating part was, each email sent was ignored, and every phone call they received from me, was immiedietely sent back to the prerecording message stating to further get in contact with them, submit a request and send them an email online. With the end of the second month of no reply, my account apparently glitched up and lost all the currency held upon it. I signed into the account, and it told me that it didnt recognize my device. So I changed the password to the account, reauthorized my phone with a sms code sent to my phone via text message, then it wanted me to repeat the process. That I did, and got a message stating to many login attempts. So I fell asleep, woke up the next day, and all the funds were gone. No funds in each currency, or even in the holding account. The main question I have, is if our funds are backed by the FDIC to fully show that our losses arent gone by just being in a holding account. Why is it that I couldnt fully withdraw all my funds from every currency, and withdraw all the funds from my holding account, and deposit into my bank, but some random reason all my currency disapears within 2 hours. Seems fishy that the company is probably holding my funds without me knowing of the location. If more information is needed, I can provide bank statements of the deposits, and that no money being sent to my account. I only use XXXX and bank. But my bank is still not authorized with their company.

Complaint: I transferred XXXX Litecoin ( worth aprox. USD {$38000.00} as of today XX/XX/XXXX ). I did this transference on XX/XX/XXXX from Exchange company Coinbase.com to another Exchange company and the money is still stuck in " Pending transaction ''. It 's been 9 days without having access to my money. They promise that transactions may take as long as 24 hours but it has been 9 days already. This is inadmissible. I contacted them and asked if at least they could cancel the transference and they told me they ca n't which is a lie. Other Exchange companies even provide a cancel button for the user to cancel transactions like this as long as they have n't come through yet. My transaction is stuck in " pending '' with zero conformations, which means it has never left Coinbase yet, however, they refuse to give me back my XXXX Litecoin.

The continued take the SAME deposit over and over again until my account has over {$300.00} in fees! I have tried to contact them. I have emailed them. As of this morning, they are still withdrawing money. I removed all my money from XXXX via wire transfer, ( paying a giant fee ) and it was supposed to take 1-2 days. ITS BEEN 6 days and I have nothing but an empty bank account that XXXX is still trying to take money from and my bank is still charging me. HELP!!!!!

Complaint: Coinbase is a fraud. They state on their website withdrawal timeline for wires as 1 business day. Upon making the withdrawal, I have received the email stating that the wire might be delayed 3 business days. I made the withdrawal request on XXXX XXXX, 2017 and still have not received my funds. Their customer service is a disaster! The wait to have my call answered was over 1.5 hours and then the representative was not able to provide me with any answers. The only thing I have found out is that they have delays up to 3 business days. Well, it has been 6 days and the funds are still not available. This brings the question of Coinbase 's liquidity situation and how they handle this type of problems. I 'm only trying to withdraw {$1500.00}. Imagine trying to withdraw 1mln .... If my funds are not delivered shortly, I will be taking legal action. I 'm most definitely closing my account with them.

Both transactions one on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$1000.00} and the second on XX/XX/XXXX for {$500.00} were completed by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and fully funded to my account in Coinbase. When logging into Coinbase account funds show in a still pending state and unable to move money back. I have reached out to support numerous times and received no reply. This company is horrible, very misleading, and should no doubt be banned in the United States as this is no way to treat customers

Complaint: I used my ETH wallet address on Coinbase account to receive XXXX tokens in XX/XX/XXXX. However, at that time I was not notified that the Coinbase actually do not support XXXX tokens. I emailed the Coinbase support team on XX/XX/XXXX regarding this issue and they did not get back to me until XX/XX/XXXX. In the email they told me the tokens were not supported and they could do nothing to recover the tokens. There are at least two things Coinbase could improve in the future : First, as everyone understands, unlike other traditional financial assets, digital currencies such as bitcoins are of extremely high risk and digital currency transactions are irreversible, as such, Coinbase should have put up warning signs in a more obvious spot on their main page. Even though there is an article XXXX and XXXX on their website, you have to try very hard to find it. Also, there should have been a warning message prior to each transaction to make sure customers fully understand the potential risk and the proper procedures to follow. Secondly, I believe every customer of Coinbase should have full control of their digital assets. We pay for the service fees and as such we deserve to have full access to our digital assets. If unsupported tokens are accidentally sent to Coinbase wallet, Coinbase support team is obligated to at least try to recover the tokens for the customer instead of doing nothing at all. Imagine if your credit card was stolen and you lost your money, I believe the financial institute who issued the credit card ( e.g. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, etc ) would try their best to find the money for their customers. So should Coinbase. The total value of the tokens are {$4500.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX ( per XXXX.XXXX ) and the loss of the tokens is a huge loss to me. I am hereby requesting Coinbase to be fully responsible for losses caused by negligence.

Complaint: I wired {$12000.00} to my XXXX account on XXXX from my wife 's account at XXXX XXXX. It went out of XXXX XXXX on XXXX and was accepted by Coinbase/XXXX. They took the wire and then informed me via email that because my account was not in my wife 's name they would not credit my account with the {$12000.00} and would send it back within 7 business days. I then emailed them back asking to please talk to me to resolve this on XXXX and they have not responded. Case number was XXXX. After waiting the 7 days and then some, I emailed them again on XXXX asking what the status of the wire was. They responded with a canned email on XXXX that did n't specifically answer or help resolve my problem in the least bit. I told them if they did not help me I would continue to escalate the situation in that email. I do not believe they read my email but just sent a templated one that was crafted to alleviate the masses. Case number was XXXX.

Complaint: Since XXXX XXXX XXXX, I have been getting the error message : " Sorry, account temporarily XXXX. Please contact support. '' when logging in from my authorized device. My Case ID is # XXXX I have XXXX factor authentication enabled, so am not sure why this happened in the first place. I have had no issues with verification and have previously made XXXX purchases on my account. I messaged support via their website on XXXX XXXX XXXX and only received a holding response thanking me for my query, so I called up their support number on XXXX XXXX XXXX, got through after XXXX mins waiting. I was told that I had to " reset my password '' and that my issue had been " escalated to a XXXX ''. They sent me an email confirming this. I successfully reset my password but still have been unable to access my own account. Once again, I called support on XXXX XXXX XXXX, got through after an hour, but no support offered beyond reiterating the previous message that my issue had been escalated and I was asked to " be patient ''. No timeframe was given as to when my seemingly straightforward issue would be resolved. It 's been over a week now of having a significant amount of money tied up in my account which I can not even access. I am not sure when this will be resolved, will they grant me access to my account in a few weeks / months / years? This company seems willing to accept deposits, but does n't allow customers to even access their accounts - this raises questions as to their legitimacy.
