Complaint: To whom it may concern,I have been extremely patient in attempting to work with Coinbase on many occasions (over 2 dozen phone calls and over 2 dosent emails). My main issue in particular is the fact that my wire transfer was rejected for some reason back on XX/XX/XXXX and it said my name did not match the name on my bank acct, however this is false (I have bank wire document proof showing my name is accurate). I received an email from Coinbase back on XX/XX/XXXX stating that "please allow us 7 business days for processing wire" back to me. As of today it has been 28 business days (42 total days) and I am still missing $XXXX of my hard earned money. I am asking for your assistance in getting the funds back to me. I have called many times and never get solid information other than it has been escalated and someone will get back to me. Based on their original "wire reversed" email it is now past the promised deadline for my money back to me. I need assistance asap as this is a lot of money for me. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from “XXXX” saying that all delayed wire transfers were in fact issued back to customers and I should have it within a few business days and he was closing my case in satisfaction, however weeks later and still no funds back to me in my Acct. My case # that XXXX responded to is “XXXX”. I need my issue reopened ASAP and need my money returned to me. I have all necessary proof from my bank regarding the wire if needed to be presented.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my Coinbase account got locked with {$30000.00} dollars in investments.
I requested Coinbase to unlock my account the very next day So I could get access to my money and keep trading.
I spoke with them 5 different times and they always say that they escalated my problem and that a specialist will help me unlock my account.
They sent me a ticket number ( Case # XXXX ) but every time I email them they say the same thing.
I have tried everything and its been more than 30 days since they kidnapped my account.
I have no other choice than to make a complaint.

Complaint: To whom it may concern, I made a SEPA bank transfer of XXXX euros on XX/XX/XXXX to Coinbase and I forgot to put the reference code in my bank order, so my money has been credited on Coinbase bank account but not credited on my coinbase account.
I contacted their support onXX/XX/XXXX and explained my case. Since then I did not received any decent response and solution in order to get a reverse bank transfer.
I think this is unbelivable to wait that long for just a simple customer support and with absolutely no transparency on the process. My request is involving a huge amount of money, this is insane to have no real support. My case at coinbase is # XXXX.
The Customer service is terrific, I feel absolutely unsecured with them. I hope the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau can help me.
Best regards

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a ticket to Coinbase. The company has a vault feature where they will hold funds until two separate email addresses approve the withdrawal into the normal fund account. I submitted a ticket because my secondary email address was not receiving the email to approve the transaction. I've called twice while waiting over an hour to get a human response on both occasions telling me they couldn't do anything. The tickets that I have on file continue to be updated with the generic/robot answer saying they are working on it. It has been one month that I have had to sit idly by and not be able to touch my funds. The company is absolutely inept and incapable of fixing even the most simplistic tasks, while also continuing to take on millions of customers they can not provide customer support to. I have not had access to my money/crypto-currency for over a month. They refuse to reset my account in any way shape or form and I need access to my money they are holding XXXX. I am at my wits end with having zero customer service and month long waits on having a simple account reset.

Complaint: I transferred by wire transfer on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX to Coinbase.com to be able to buy bit coin. The transfer was executed correctly by my Financial institution according to the directions on their website and it was received by the beneficiary bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX. It has not been applied to my online account and when I tried to call coinbase they do not take human calls and require an email to discuss the issue- after several tries to reach them I spoke to a person named " XXXX '' in the fraud department and he sent me email on XX/XX/XXXX saying he was working on the issue. When I emailed back to check status onXX/XX/XXXX I received a automatic reply that the email address I was given no longer accepted direct emails and I still do not have my XXXX back. I called XXXX XXXX and they said the money would be in Coinbase 's account and that Coinbase would have to release it back. They will not respond to me.

Complaint: Hi, On XX/XX/2018 a {$25000.00} wire was sent to Coinbase.com. The wire was rejected due to the account using my middle name, which i go by, instead of my legal first name. The wire was supposed to be reversed and received by my bank within 7 business days ( which already is a ridiculous wait period ). It has been over 7 business days already and we still have not seen anything or received any correspondence from the company.
I can provide detailed information on the wire sent to coinbase.

Complaint: I have sold about {$27000.00} of crypto currency using Coinbase.
The sale of the currency itself was fine, and I have been able to transfer it all into, which is sitting in my Coinbase wallet.
However, I am unable to withdraw it from there. In order to withdraw money, you are required to verify a bank account with then, by using the account to make a deposit into your Coinbase Wallet ( in ).
They state that this process will take 1-2 business days.
On XXXX XXXX, 2018, I submitted a deposit from my bank account of XXXX, which reached my wallet within the day. Coinbase immediately credited my wallet with this, but my bank account was still marked as unverified, so I was still unable to make a withdrawal.
This was still the case on XX/XX/XXXX, so I submitted a support request.
I received what I assume to be an automated response on XX/XX/XXXX. I assume it was automated because it contained instructions for making a deposit, something I had already done successfully. I responded immediately and pointed out that this was not my issue, and I had made a successful deposit already, but my accojnt was still not marked as verified.
On XX/XX/XXXX I received another response. This one stated that my case had been escalated to a specialist, and contained additional advice for making deposits ( that I did not need, having made a deposit successfully ). It also recommended I check that my bank account was listed as a payment method, which it was, and I have checked every detail to ensure it is correct, which it is.
I responded on the day, pointing out that everything was in order from my end, and I have sent several follow-up emails since. However, Coinbase have not yet responded to any of them.
I would like to verify my bank account so that I can withdraw the 22,000 or so that is sitting in it. Every day they hold on to it is an additional risk, as exchanges are hacked and targeted all the time. I just want my money.

Complaint: Case # XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX and this complaint is regarding an outgoing wire that was I was told would occur on XX/XX/XXXX. OnXX/XX/XXXXI wired XXXX USD to Coinbase XXXX from my XXXX account which is under the name XXXX XXXX ( this is my maiden name ). The federal reference number for this wire was XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX Coinbase sent me an email informing me that they did received the wire ; however, due to a name mismatch ( my maiden name vs my married name ) they would be reversing the wire.
It is nearly 20 days later and my wire has not been reversed. I have followed-up with them on the status of this matter multiple times ( at least 10 ) to no avail. I have conducted multiple wires during the course of my lifetime and never has it taken longer than 3 days. Normally 1 to 2 days.
Not only has it been nearly 20 days since I was told that I would receive my wire and have not received my wire, but they are grossly negligent in their communication. On 2 occasions I have been sent an email saying that they will have someone look into the problem with absolutely no follow-up or accountability. This concerns me because if you look on social media and the internet at large ( I am certain that you 've received other complaints ) Coinbase has a history of taking peoples money ( not giving them access via account freezes, or wire disputes ) for VERY long periods of time without any communication. This is completely unacceptable and I have never experienced such blatant disregard by a financial institution of their fiduciary responsibility. This is borderline grossly negligent. Please keep in mind that the while I have been waiting for 20 days, there are others that have had this problem for months.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a wire transfer request from my bank to Coinbase to fund my Coinbase account. The wire transfer I submitted was for {$5000.00}.
Wire transfers are supposed to post immediately.
On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from Coinbase informing me that they could not apply the funds to my account due to a naming mismatch. It also stated that in case you do n't receive the funds within 7 days to contact them via a support email address. ( XXXXXXXXXXXX ).
On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed Coinbase to get an update and received no response.
On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed Coinbase to get an update and received no response.
On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed Coinbase to get an update and received no response.
On XX/XX/XXXX I called Coinbase support and after explaining the situation I was told that my ticket was going to get prioritized and that I was going to get an update as soon as possible. Now a week later, I have yet to receive any kind of update.

Complaint: We wired in XXXX XXXX Dollars ( {$90000.00} ) to Coinbase via Wire Transfer with a Confirmed Receipt the Same day.
Subsequent to that time no Funds have been deposited or credited by Coinbase to our account. The funds and either missing, stolen, or in some kind of limbo with Coinbase.
We have attempted to contact Customer Support by Email and Phone more than two dozen times. The only response received have been Automated replies. We have requested return of the funds or credit for the funds.
We have kept meticulous records of our contact including emails, calls, and non responses by Coinbase.
It was only after the fact that our funds went missing that we read online that this same scenario is happening to dozens of people.
