This auto loan was paid in full on XX/XX/15. i've tried many times to talk to this company but they fuse to accept that i paid this loan. I disputed this account with all 3 credit bureaus multiple times only to have this account verified. Even though i provided them with a copy of the contract payoff. This account is hurting my credit to get a mortgage.

Complaint: I had a car financed with Credit Acceptance and the engine blew. I called them and and they asked if I wanted to return it but never indicated that it would be considered a repossession. Had I known I would have kept the car even though it wasn't running. I just don't understand they never at any point indicated that it would report negatively on my report. We also agreed on a settlement for which I paid. I don't think that is correct that there was no mention that the account would report bad since they are the ones that recommended turn it in.

Complaint: About 4 years ago my husband was sent home from his job early after putting in his 2 weeks notice. This was 3.5 weeks before his new job was to start. I called the loan company as we lived in Arizona a right to work state cause we didnt get paid. The loan company asked if I knew when we'd get paid at that time I did not. We missed 2 payments as we went 6 weeks without pay. We made a payment and set up auto pay biweekly. The auto payments monthly were {$200.00} more than my payment. We recently applied for a home loan only to find out the loan company reported the last 2 years and 2 months of payments late. One auto pay we never missed a payment. I have contacted the company and they told me I'm out of luck. I finally read the reviews on the company and found this happens often and in fact they have had several lawsuits around this matter.

Complaint: I was a victim of blatant predatory lending by Credit Acceptance Corporation. They charged me 22.99 % interest for a car loan, which is very high but due to my less than ideal credit and not understanding the contract I signed. Later while working with a Financial Coach at a non-profit we looked at my loan and vehicle. He pulled the XXXX value on the vehicle and we found that the vehicle with a clean retail is only worth {$5700.00}. I paid {$9100.00} for the vehicle and by the time the loan is paid I will have paid {$19000.00}. A lender should not give a secured loan for a vehicle to a customer with less than perfect credit ( or anyone ) with almost a 160 % LTV. The whole transaction is predatory but the aspect of the lender giving a loan for 160 % of what the vehicle is worth is the aspect that seems completely unlawful and undeniably predatory.The loan was signed in XX/XX/XXXX, and we pulled the XXXX value ( bluebook value ) on XX/XX/XXXX only 6 months later. The car would not have depreciated in value very much in those 6-months, especially with an already older vehicle. We used the millage of the car when it was bought in XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: XX/XX/19 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE A LEGAL ASSISTANT FOR CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP. THEY ASKED ME TO VERIFY MY NUMBER AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, AND ADDRESS. THE LADY SAID THAT THERE ISN'T A DEBT IN THERE SYSTEM BUT THERE IS A DEBT ON MY CREDIT REPORT FROM THEM. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE WAS A FEMALE AND SHE SAID THAT SHE WORKED FOR CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. SHE ASKED FOR MY SOCIAL AND I REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO HER. I HAVE A COPY OF MY POLICE REPORT AND CREDIT REPORTS WHERE ITS ON IT. I'M CONFUSED ON WHATS GOING ON AND SOMEONE HAVE OBVIOUSLY STOLE MY INFORMATION OR GOT SOMETHING INCORRECT, THERE IS AN ERROR ON MY REPORT AND I DON'T WANT TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO. I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ACCOUNT AND I DON'T KNOW WHY THE LADY ASKED FOR MY SOCIAL AND WHY IS IT ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I HAVE WITNESSES OF THE CALL AND SITUATION AND IT IS ON MY CREDIT REPORT ILLEGALLY.THEY SAID THEY WILL BE SENDING A FORM, AN IDENTITY AFFIDAVIT. Complaint: sorry my grammar is not 100 % accurate! Hi & To Whom It May Concern : How are you doing? Im not sure who to bring this up anymore, but I been dealing with the original dealership XXXX XXXX for the last 3-4 months in regards to a vehicle that was never on my possession. As I mentioned, I never took the delivery of the vehicle and its been on principal owner XXXX and XXXX dealership for day one due to mechanical issue. And now my credit report is all ruined because the principal owners never dealt with them on timely manner. Every time I called them, they kept saying that they dont have the money to send back to the bank to remove this from my credit report. Ive called the alleged bank Credit Acceptance several times and they stated in several occasion that once they receive the money from the Dealership that submitted the Credit Application they will go ahead and remove the tradeline from my credit report. Today, I look at my credit report again, it continues to report incorrect on my credit profile. It shows balance {$0.00}, however, its reflecting with derogatory mark, such as comments as settled-less than full balance, other bureau shows account legally paid in full for lass than the full balance, and XXXX reports as settlement accepted on this account or paid account/XXXX balance. As you can see on the pictures, I NEVER made the payment on this account. The dealership made the payment directly to the bank and you can see the check was made by them XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Therefore, this is causing me tremendous stress, and Im overwhelmed with lack of professionalism and blunt errors on my credit report which is costing me thousands in interest rate and fees. Please, I ask again, resolve this from my credit report either CORRECT as Paid NEVER late or remove the entire trade line from my credit report as promised. -- I need the company to remove this tradeline from my credit report as I never made the payment, and never took the delivery of the vehicle. Please delete this tradeline from my credit report.

Complaint: I was given a loan for a car to which my first problem was the same day. Car was dead. Battery was replaced. Then I took the car in on numerous occasions and each time they said there was no problem. By the fourth or fifth month the whole transmission fell out the car. It was supposed to be covered but in a turn of events they said I will have to pay for the tear down which could have ran me up to {$5000.00}. Now that is not fair. I reported it immediately and told them to keep the car. Then later I found out there was a problem about a salvaged title which was another problem. Now I get called from them several times a day everyday. It has gotten so bad I put them on block and they still call from other numbers. The harrassment is out of control.

Credit Acceptance refuses to credit me the proper refund since I cancelled a worthless warranty on XX/XX/XXXX {$1700.00} rolled into a 22.99 % auto loan. I cancelled this XX/XX/XXXX, and only received a {$1700.00} credit. I asked for a print out of payments I made monthly ( 10 ) towards the XXXX on loan. From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. 14 payments are due to me as a refund plus pre-calculated compound interest.They refuse.Predatory lending and unfair-deceptive consumer fraud- for they never ran my credit report. How did they arrive at 22.99 %?, they refuse to answer. I told them they are charging interest more than the car is really worth. No answer. Predatory lending. I told them there is no compound interest in Arizona or pre-calculated interest by lay. No answer. I requested my pay history and pay off statement showing the monthly interest. Credit Acceptance is a predatory lender.

I sent a letter to the creditor via certified mail dated XXXX XXXX, requesting validation of this account by way of a signed contact dated XX/XX/XXXX. My letter was received and signed for on XX/XX/XXXX by Credit Acceptance Corp. I also mailed a copy of my letter to CFPB, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. All 3 credit bureaus opened another dispute when they received my letter. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX says again, the account shall remain, because the creditor claims the information to be true and the bureau is only a data collector. The creditor has not sent any validation that I opened any type of account with them XX/XX/XXXX, as I did not. This creditor can not provide a signed contract that doesn't exist.

Complaint: I had an account with Credit Acceptance Corp. in XXXX Michigan for a car loan. I fall behind with the payments and they repossessed the car in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX i contact the law firm that they use to sue me and offered to pay a reduced amount of {$1000.00} dollars to settle the case. The lawyer said that they have to contact their client to see if they will accept that amount. Couple days later i contacted the law firm and they told me that the client said they will accept no less than {$1400.00} dollars to settle the account so i agreed and paid that amount the same day anyway i received information in the mail from the law firm and the court saying that the account is paid off and settle and the case against me was dismissed but Credit Acceptance Corp. havent report to the credit agencies that the account is settled. I contacted them in XX/XX/XXXX and they told me they were waiting for information from the court so i told them i received mine in XX/XX/XXXX them the lady said oh they have received the documents and they would update the information with the credit agencies no later than the XX/XX/XXXX and until now they havent.
