Complaint: I had my auto loan set up on auto draft since the time I opened my account. Apparently in XXXX of 2016, Credit Acceptance started having a problem with my auto draft. They did not notify me of the problem until XXXX of 2016. By that time, my auto loan had reported 4 straight months of delinquency. I immediately paid them all of the payments, and we corrected the auto draft problem together. Now, Credit Acceptance will not correct my reported pay history, even though they did not even notify me of a problem with my payments being processed.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$12000.00}. I was told that I had to put {$2000.00} down and then only pay a balance of {$10000.00}. I was never told that there would be interest. I was told the monthly payments would be {$330.00} per month. I signed many documents but I was not provided with a copy of any of the documents. I then received a payment booklet in the mail from Credit Acceptance XXXX and discovered that there were 60 monthly coupons for {$380.00} each ( {$22000.00} ). That totaled {$24000.00} ( coupons plus my {$2000.00} down payment ) for a XXXX year old vehicle with XXXX miles on it. The car has many mechanical problems. I have no idea what interest rate that I am being charged. I never agreed to pay back a total of {$22000.00}. I was never provided with a copy of the Bill of Sale or Retail Instalment Obligation. I am a XXXX XXXX earning {$950.00} net biweekly living in a rent stabilized apartment. I would have never qualified for such a loan if my true income was used. I believe the lender 's sales representative committed fraud on my application. I would have rather been denied the loan had I known I would have been saddled with interest, etc. I also learned that I financed an extended warranty as well.

Complaint: I called in to get a payment arrangement set up on my account and spoke to a representative by the name of XXXX. He was extremely rude and very hostile during the entire conversation. He kept asking questions like why I was n't able to make my payment on time, that when I signed up for the loan I agreed to make the payment on time, etc. I explained to him that I paid majority of the car note and that the automated system gave me until XX/XX/XXXX, that I needed until XX/XX/XXXX which was my pay day to make the payment because I did n't want to fail the payment arrangement. All I needed was 3 days more, the rep became even more rude and began talking to me in an inappropriate manner stating I should n't need the additional time and that I need to keep the arrangement or see if I can get the money from someone. I asked to speak to a manager because he was being rude and he stated he was a senior rep. He stated I have a sub-prime loan and that his company already took a risk at giving me a loan so I need to make my payments as agreed. I began to raise my voice and get out of character with him because I could n't believe he was actually talking to me as if I was a nobody and the money came out his pocket. I 've had my vehicle since XX/XX/XXXX and this was my first payment arrangement, I have never been late on my car payment. Every time I call this place, the reps are nasty and talk to you like you are trash. I asked to speak to management after dancing with him verbally for a few minutes and they gave me the extra days without a problem. I can never get what I need resolved without constantly enduring the lack of customer service from the rude, condescending, very judgmental collections representatives that work for Credit Acceptance. They act like they hate their jobs and the money is coming directly out of their paychecks to finance the customers they have to service. They call you constantly with their automated dialers and they will harass your references as well. Then when you call then to ask then to stop with all the calls, they will have the nastiest attitude. We already know when our payments are due, we do n't need calls 10 times a day and we do n't need our references to be harassed as well. I do n't need my references in my business and knowing when my payments are due. Especially dealing with the reps nasty attitude.

Complaint: In XXXX XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX and began a purchase of a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called Credit Acceptance XXXX Company concerned about the loan and asked if certain things were legal. I even questioned the blue policy of financing a vehicle over the blue book value. The gentleman on the phone said that vehicle was worth the amount that was financed. I financed XXXX for a vehicle that was only worth at best XXXX or XXXX XXXX dollars. After I signed, the contract I found out that the vehicle blue book was below further below for my specific vehicle and that there was a vehicle recall. hazard of rear ended and other issues. The vehicle also was a lemon. I had to have the transmission replaced twice and engine work. The axle broke in the front. Credit Acceptance repossessed my vehicle several times. each time adding excessive fee to recover the vehicle in addition to the cost of the impound and storage fees. I called and tried to alter arrangement by a couple days because of error with my payroll. I would have the money a couple days later. They just came and picked the vehicle up after I had just payed to get it back just a few weeks earlier.I explained to them the vehicle had broken down again and I had to pay for repairs. They received almost XXXX XXXX extra dollars in repossession fees alone in addition to the fact that the vehicle loan amount was too high.

Complaint: Credit Acceptance has continued to try and collect on an account that I was told by a representative from their company that I was no longer responsible for. Upon receiving correspondance from another representative from this company, they try to act as if now they never told me that I would no longer be responsible for the balance owed after I returned the car. They have also been engaging in some unethical practices such as removing the entire balance that I do not owe after I disputed this account and then went back and changed the amount owed to {$3700.00}. If i was verbally told that the balance would be forgiven I feel it is very unethical for them to now go back on their word and try to recollect this money. I also do not appreciate the fact that after disputing this account, they reported the balance as {$XXXX}, and then went back and reported the balance as {$3700.00} as well as reporting several late payments, a repossession status and adding derogatory marks to my credit report and causing a large drop in my credit score. This is an example of them reporting incorrect information which is grounds for removal of this account. This car was voluntarily returned to them by me, so them changing the status to " in repossession '' is them lying. I believe that they are doing this to be spiteful and retaliate for me filing a complaint and I would like them to stop reporting this negative account to my credit profiles. I have attached a picture that I took from my credit profile showing that the account balance was reporting as {$XXXX} and then they went back and began reporting it again as {$3700.00}, which I know is illegally reporting inaccurate information and I want this account removed. By law, they are required to remove this account and I will hire an attorney if I need to.

Complaint: I do not think my loan company is properly applying my payments. I have asked multiple customer service reps for a history of my past payments and a breakdown of how my payments have been applied. I am repeatedly told that they have to mail out that information but I have yet to receive it. I think that my total and past due balance is lower than I am being told. They want me to make full monthly payments every 2 weeks and my balance does not seem to move.

Complaint: I currently have a auto loan with credit acceptance since XXXX of 2016. It seem like they use bullying tactics to get their payments. I went to a In my opinion fraudulent scamming auto company to purchase a car in XXXX of 2016. When the told me I was approved they told me it was through credit acceptance. The never explained to my credit acceptance billing rules and regulations. They were instructed by credit acceptance to put an device I. The vehicle so credit acceptance can shut the car down when I payment was not received. During the time I first got the car I was working. Now I have a XXXX that has me on temporarily XXXX and payments comes twice a month which only comes out to $ XXXX monthly. I have called credit acceptance explain to them what 's going on and let them know my situation but they do n't even seem to care about a XXXX person all they want is their payment. Which I understand I do have the vehicle and it must be paid for. But if I 'm explaining what my situation is and is making payments when ever I receive my check they wo n't give me any leave way. There has been a time I was going for medical treatment and missed out on it because credit acceptance activated the device in the car which prevents it from shutting on for XXXX XXXX and some odd dollars that was n't paid. So it seem to me a person facing a life or death situation does n't mean anything to them more than their payments. They need to stop their bullying tactics and try working with their customers. If it was n't for that car being my life line I would just let it go. Like I said XXXX had that crooked car dealership let me know about this I would have never agreed to accept or sign off any loan agreement with credit acceptance

Complaint: I am writing regarding inaccurate information being reported on my XXXX Credit Report by Credit Acceptance Corporation located in XXXX, MI. My auto loan account with this company was included in a Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy, which was filed XX/XX/2016 and discharged XX/XX/2016. Upon reviewing my XXXX credit report after the bankruptcy discharge, I noticed that the company reported I " failed to pay '' XX/XX/XXXX. My account was paid and never late prior to the bankruptcy filing. Additionally, I continued to make payments after the date of bankruptcy filing date. In the end, the vehicle was included in the bankruptcy.
I have filed multiple disputes with the XXXX Credit Agency regarding Credit Acceptance 's derogatory information, which included my bank statements verifying that I have never made a late, only to have the company respond to the dispute confirming that the " failure to pay '' is accurate.
The negative " failure to pay '' that is being reflected on my XXXX Credit Report is causing my credit score to have nearly a XXXX point difference than the other XXXX credit reporting agencies. This is a significant difference and has impacted my ability to rebuild credit after my bankruptcy. The substantial difference is a red flag to potential creditors.

Complaint: Around XXXX XXXX, XXXX i purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX for the advertised price of roughly XXXX XXXX. i was told That Credit acceptance can not authorize me to purchase a vehicle higher than that price, and that after 1 years of on-time payments i can refinance and purchase a different car. When i contacted Credit Acceptance to refinance, they told me there is nothing they can do. Due to Credit Acceptance High interest Rate ( I currently Pay 23.99 % APR ) No one will refinance at {$16000.00} loan for a car that is only worth roughly {$6000.00}. by time the care is paid off i will have paid over {$30000.00} for a car when credit acceptance and its representing dealer told me they can not finance me for anything over {$14000.00}. I believe that not only my down payment for the vehicle was misrepresented in the final quote, but also that Credit Acceptance knowingly Provided me with false information so that they can illegally charge me an outrages APR. Currently whenever i make a payment i am not given a receipt for the remaining balance and i also noticed that out of my payment of XXXX every month only XXXX of it is applied to the principle value of the car. Credit acceptance needs to be investigated for deceptive practices as well as false advertisement. If an individual can only be approved for {$14000.00} car how do they end up paying over {$30000.00} in the end?.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I XXXX XXXX XXXX went in to XXXX XXXX to purchase a vehicle. I strongly suggested to the salesman that at the time all I had for the down payment was {$2000.00} nothing more. I test drove a XXXX XXXX XXXX and like the vehicle then he offered me to drive another XXXX with fewer miles on it. I decided to stick with the car I had chosen previously. I arrived back from the test drive and i was told by the salesman that his Boss wanted me to put down another {$500.00} because he did n't feel as though he got much off of the deal of the car. He asked me could U put another {$500.00} down i told him no that I did n't have it and he said I will give you time to bring it back in he said I will give you 30 days. I told him I was n't sure to have it all by then, he said ok well bring in what you do have. Two days after driving the car I noticed there was a significant smell of oil coming through the vents. I called the dealership back and he advised me that it was because they forgot to put the top cover back on and that it was coming from that and he said bring the car back in so that we can do that. Every time I parked the car I noticed there was a big oil ring on the concrete. I made an appointment with the XXXX dealership and they advised me to take that car back and do not but it. I paid {$100.00} to have tests run on the car insuring that it was worth me buying. XXXX provided me with every thing that was wrong with car with the most major issue was there was a leak in the oil housing and it need to be fixed immediately to prevent engine damage. There was a long list of other things that also needed to be fixed as well. I talked back to the salesman that goes by the name of XXXX and he said I quote " You do not buy a XXXX car from XXXX dealership, and then take it to another XXXX to get it checked out. '' I explained to him that I had every right to do so. I asked them in this moment to please switch me out of the car and put me in another one that was better for my money since they already had the down payment of that car. They told me that I would have to speak to the finance company who is Credit Acceptance. Later that day a representative from the loan company called to do a welcome call. I spoke to her about what was going on and she said that they did n't mind me being switched out of the vehicle. She said to call the dealership and then have them to call their company and they would go from there. I waited a few days and still nothing I began to constantly call and text the salesman and ask him to be switched out. He told me that he could not because the car had been titled already which was not right. The car was not titled until last Friday XXXX XXXX, XXXX. He had told me for 3 weeks that the car had bee titled already and it was n't. I called to Credit Acceptance this morning and was advised that the previous representative that I had spoken to put in the notes that the issues I was dealing with was normal wear and tear of the car and at the time I had only drove the car all of a week when I had learned that there was so many issues with this car. I have spent money on repairs and for items such as oil, antifreeze coolant etc. This car has major issues and there is nothing that this dealership or finance company is willing to help out with. I was told by XXXX there was no way that this car had been inspected right because there was no way it would have passed the NC Emissions tests. The seller of the vehicle was very misleading and once I began to figure his false information out he continued to be very irate and curse and yell at me many times.
