Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , 2017 I received a letter ( c opy enclosed ) advising me that m y Sears Credit Card account had been closed effective XXXX XXXX , 2017. According to the letter " Our decision to close your account was based on information we received that you may have filed for bankruptcy ... '' When I questioned the m who sent them this information, they said it was by me ( my name ). they insisted it was valid information. They took my information, credit card number and the last XXXX digits of my Social Security number, and said they would investigate and get back to me in 3 to 5 business days. I FEAR THAT TH IS MAY BE A SCAM BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, THIS COULD RUIN MY CREDIT RATING. Please advise if there is anything I could do to remedy this problem. XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Costco Citibank Visa credit card has started charging me and other consumers interest on purchases whenever you get a cash advance in the month even though I had paid the card balance in full for the previous statement closing balance. This is not how the terms of the Costco credit card are! I told Citibank customer service reps this should not be done, but they did not care to rectify it or interested in correcting it. The initial Citibank rep could not understand it when I talked with her. This should tell you there is a problem here.

Representative was very unhelpful and rude so I hung up with the intention to call back and speak to someone else. She then closed my account without confirming with me that is what I wanted or reading any disclosures to me. I asked to have account reopened and was told no.

This new year XXXX XXXX charged me again on citi dividends master card automatically for no reason, I had discontinued the XXXX software service since XXXX . By now they still charge me this every year! And cities bank card still try to collect more money beyond the XXXX XXXX XXXX charge, they add delay fees etc. It is ridiculous!!! Complaint: XXXX XXXX, 2017 reviewed my Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite credit card online statement and found multiple unauthorized charges made in a 2 day period. Immediately called the credit card company and reported the activity. Was told the card would be cancelled, new one overnighted to me and charges reversed pending investigation within 3 days. Possible XXXX XXXX connection, as the card was enrolled without my knowledge the day of the fraud. XX/XX/XXXX, had not received new card, called to check on tracking info. was told they do not overnight cards and it would be 10-14 days. XX/XX/XXXX, received email that my new card was enrolled in XXXX XXXX. This was fraudulent and I called and cancelled the new card although it had not been received yet. Continued to call every 3 days to find out why no reverse on the charges had occurred. Most calls they did not seem to have account of my report although they could see I had cancelled cards. Continued to be told it takes 3-5 days for credit to show. Closed the accounts all together. They stated if I would keep the account open they would give me 1.9 % and credit on the fraud in 3-5 days. I closed accounts Have called every few days with no resolution or information to the fraudulent charges. The amount is still showing as due on my account and I am accruing interest. XX/XX/XXXX called and finally spoke to someone who said nothing could be reversed until I filled out a form which should have been mailed to me. I informed them it had not and they said it was on the way and would be received by XX/XX/XXXX. The form has not arrived and called today, XX/XX/XXXX and was still not connected to anyone who seemed to have knowledge of the complaint and fraud. they still do not have all the correct disputed amounts and have put a legitimate charge in dispute which is causing me issues. Complaint: I received a call from a women claiming to be reporting fraud. She goes on to say that someone has opened a credit card under my name and social. I respond with " I have n't applied for any credit cards for citi bank ''. She goes on to say that she need to verify my social number or go to their web site that I cant recall. I told her " I will not give you my social ''. She then say to go to the website she provided and call for myselft with XXXX as a reference number. I disregarded the website she gave me and went directly to citi banks website, and as I expected there was no trace of anyone trying to open a credit card under my name or social. The scammer was calling from a XXXX XXXX area code and the number is XXXX .

The y then charged money to this account, without authorization, to continue a Costco memb ership ( that I did n't wish to keep ). They then continued to charge me late fees for this debt that I never authorized. I do n't wish to do business wit h Citibank, and t hat 's my choice as a consumer. They have no right to force me to do business with them, much less put debt on me that I did n't authorize.

Someone contacted me and notify me about the bill, I asked to be forgiven for the late charges and they agreed, because they said they were sending the bill to the wrong address, I when to the store and paid the {$65.00} and they give me a store credit for the hdmi cable because I never use it. I also up date my new address. All of this happen in XXXX , a couple of months I received a bill for late charges. I paid the late charges because they were reporting it to the credit bureaus as if I was neglecting my responsibilities, and they have the product, and I have is a store credit. I had the problem with Macy 's de partment store, but they honored their agreement.
