Complaint: I believe that my mortgage representative, XXXX XXXX , loan processor, XXXX XXXX , and underwriter misrepresented the guidelines that were required for final approval of my mortgage application and/or denied my application in part because of my XXXX . After receiving notification that I was approved via Citi 's online application status portal on approximately XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , I received a phone call from my mortgage representative a few days later claiming that I was denied at on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX . The reasoning for the denial provided by the mortgage representative was that my income, as reported on my XXXX tax return, was insufficient. Despite having records of my income via my XXXX , tax returns, and pay stubs for several weeks prior, Citi 's team failed to communicate this to me until XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , XXXX week prior to closing and shortly after I disclosed my XXXX . I disclosed my XXXX orientation to my loan processor, XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXXX learned that I was a XXXX male through our conversations about gift funds from my significant other who is male. As such, I believe that XXXX 's team is disingenuous at best or bigoted at worst. I am extremely disappointed in the team 's handling of the situation and strongly believe that I was not denied my loan because of insufficient income but instead because I am a XXXX man.

Complaint: I ha ve been a Macy 's card holder for a few years now. I had a payment due XXXX XXXX but since they NEVER updated my address ( I move every year or so due to rent increases in XXXX and it takes them repeated attempts to change my address ), they sent my bill to the wrong address and then I got it late -- paid it XXXX XXXX . Starting XXXX XXXX , I have been receiving phone calls from phone numbers in XXXX ( XXXX , XXXX ) NONSTOP. I figured it was a salesperson because ever since I went to the XXXX XXXX concert with my mom and gave them my phone number in a raffle, I 've been harassed at all hours of the day -- but that 's another story. When I finally answered and found out it was Macys, I almost fell off my chair. I mean, really?! A few dates late and already they are calling me -- I have received 14 phone calls in 52 ho ur period, all I have screen shots for : XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Does that sound reasonable?? I mean this is so ridiculous. And the payment I made in XXXX was on time, with no late fees or any extra fees. So basically they are harassing a loyal and good custom er 14 times in le ss than 3 days because of being 6 days late on a payment -- due to an address change! And there was NOT ONE voice message left in all those phone calls so that I knew who was harassing me and could have dealt with it. This is true harassment and something needs to be done about this. And I 'm not the only one, I 'm sure. XXXX XXXX

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX ; I ordered XXXX pairs of XXXX boots online total {$470.00}. After I placed the order I felt uncomfortable and call ed Citi Ba nk to stop the purchase. At that time, I was told I could not and I had to wait. Since I had no other options, I decided to see if the boots would show up. I wait ed 8 we eks for the merchandise and did not receive. So early XXXX XXXX XXXX ) I cont acted Citi Bank and mailed a dispute to them. I did not retain a copy for my records, big mistake on my part! Time went by and I thought everything was taken care. Citi Bank sent me letter saying they never got a response from me. I contacted them and stated I had mailed all information to them in XXXX . At that time, they said they would give me another chance ; so I completed another dispute form detailing everyt hing thing I did. This included multiple attempts trying to contact the company, with no response. I was then told but Citi Bank I had to wait 45 days. In the process of going back and forth with Citi Bank I received numerous different answers of what was being done and what to do. Never the same direction. I was even told, it is fraud when merchandise is not received and we can work around the date. Now Citi Bank has closed the case and charged back the amount of {$470.00} due the the date of the original charge and was told there was nothing further I could do. I am beyond frustrate and disappointed in Citi Bank 's customer service.

Complaint: On about end of XXXX of XXXX I order XXXX pairs of shoes fro m Macys. I received XXXX pair only. I called them and they re order me the other pair. When I received them, they where too big. I returned them in the store located in XXXX XXXX in Florida on XXXX XXXX of XXXX , I have a received from the store. I later get a bill statement from Macys char ging me for this item. I called them and after abou t 15 mi nutes of listening to all these offers before getting an agent, I explained the situation to the agent. She said that I still owe the shoes, I gave her the number on the received and she had to call a supervisor to adjust my bill. They said that my balance will be adjust within 48 hours but that it will be on XXXX balance. The following month I received another bill, I am upset at this time. I called again customer service and again afte r 20 mi nutes of offers, in this case I am furious how difficult it is to get through someone before listening to all these offers. I explained the situation to the agent, she was very polite but at this point I had no care for politeness, I want to speak with a supervisor because she was not understanding my problem. She explained that I owe the amount for what ever reason, I was not interests at this point, I wanted a supervisor, I gave her the name of the supervisor that I had from the previous call and that is when she put me on hold. she came back stating that there was a mistake and that they will adjust my bill and that my balance was XXXX . Again, this month I received another bill with late fees and all. I tried to call customer service, but it is ridiculous how you are placed to offers one after another, running my phone minutes. at this time I am done trying. I do not know what else to do or who to go to. Please, help!!

Complaint: Hello, this is XXXX XXXX and I had a concern regarding Macys placin g a thirty day late on my account in XXXX of XXXX . I was not supposed to be reported for this late, according to a manager i spoke with. I saw that I was and would like help to resolve this immediately please. I had not received any statements and I had reported them lost or stolen t o Macys. I was never late to pay a bill it was just that the statements went mission and unnoticed by my family. The representative I spoke with was understanding and told me no issues would come from this and yet I noticed a year and a half ago they did place a late on my XXXX credit reports and this has affected me terribly. This is not fair and not what was supposed to happen.

Can't temporarily delay making payments
Complaint: I write to complain about the debt collection conduct of Citibank, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I owe about {$30000.00} on a private student loan I took out with Citibank to attend XXXX school in XXXX XXXX XXXX. I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX, and was working in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX position when I injured my XXXX. The injury occurred two years ago, and as a result I had to stop working. I got XXXX, and, only now have been able to start looking for a job. I have used up my savings as well as the financial good will of my friends and family to maintain payments on these loans. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I no longer can pay the loans. <P/>I called Citibank well before XX/XX/XXXX and advised them of that i was running out of savings and income and that i would need some sort of accommodation until i could find work. Citibank told me I was only entitled to 12 months of forbearance and that I had already used that up sometime during the 9 or 10 years that I have been in repayment. Citibank began calling me in XX/XX/XXXX, telling me i was late on my payment. Every time they called I explained my XXXX problem and how it stopped me from working and that I had used up my savings. Citibank then transferred the case to a new servicer, XXXX. XXXX began calling on XX/XX/XXXX, demanding that I make payments. I continued to explain my financial situation, and asked if there were any options to help. The answer was no. XXXX has since called relentlessly, sometimes several times a day, telling me this isnt a debt you can ignore, and threatening to report me to the credit agency. <P/>I have similar problems repaying loans held by XXXX XXXX.. XXXX gave me one-month forbearance for XX/XX/XXXX, but says I must make six more months of payments before I can access the remaining 3 months of forbearance. This is not possible.

Complaint: I have an FHA mortgage loan that I used to buy my home that is held by Citi Mortgage. At that time, I was XXXX and had a successful XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, after the market crashed and the recession hit I began struggling financially and lost most my clients. I was soon forced out of business and had to start from scratch taking a XXXX job. This caused me to struggle and I began missing mortgage payments. I tried to get Citi Mortgage to work with me but just got the runaround from their loss mitigation department. I continued trying to negotiate and was able to continue making the mortgage payment on occasion. I was hoping for some kind of resolution. In 2013 I was finally able to get some traction with Citi and was approved for a trial modification and made 4 payments and was expecting to be put into a permanent solution. However, while in the trial plan I came home and found a man trying to change the locks on my property!!! I got information from the person who was supposedly the new owner and found out that the foreclosure was false, and that this company out changing the locks was shady and that Citi Financial was representing another company that was committing fraud. I was able to go to court to try and get this matter resolved, and thought I had things straightened out. However, I am now told that I am back in foreclosure. I have been made aware that Citi Financial has been involved in other cases of fraud with HUD and misrepresenting FHA loans and the status of these loans they are holding. I want to resolve this situation and save my home. I have rebuilt my XXXX XXXX and am back on my feet financially and able to afford a fair and reasonable monthly payment. My issue is that Citi is failing to conduct a review of my current and correct financial information in order to determine what retention programs that FHA has developed for struggling homeowners I qualify for. This should not be optional for Citi Financial, it should be required.

Charged too much interest
Complaint: Citi Card has misled us with a 0 % APR offer on a card that we already had, but were using when we accepted this offer. <P/>They forced us to have a NEW card sent for an offer that started on XXXX XXXX 2016. <P/>They did not tell us what was our " pre XXXX XXXX 2016 " balance so that we could pay off the entire balance as we usually do. We had to guess. And we overpaid that transfer amount. Also, we asked for help through their online portal to an agent, who thought we were asking something else, and did not answer my question. They tricked me through false or misleading advertising claims. <P/>They fees & trailing fees are fraudulent and I have asked them twice to refund them and even when I had a credit balance from over paying to avoid their mistake, they justified charging fees. <P/>Second, we have a problem with a 2nd Citi card about the same time. They do not reduce your amount " due in full '' when you have a suspicious charge under investigation inquiry. So, I cancelled a payment and then set up the same payment for the correct amount. They charged me a late fee of {$25.00} for doing this and also charged me interest until I was paid and no longer using their cards! We have paid off all of our balances to {$0.00} and have a really goo FICO score around XXXX. <P/>For CFPB 's convenience I have attached the 2 recent letters that I sent to Citi Card. They wrote us back yesterday saying that they were justified, but they are not. That is the reason for my complaint!
