Complaint: my citibank debit bank card ( linked to my checking account at that bank ) was stolen while i was on vacation in XXXX, when i realized my card was missing i went online to check my account, there was {$4800.00} in unauthorized charges debited from my account, the charges were as follows ... at XXXX, 1 transaction the amount of 4,000.00. 2 atm withdrawals 1 for {$300.00} the other for {$280.00} and one more transaction for {$200.00} done at some place called cgn. i immediately called my bank to report the unauthorized charges. next i went to the police station and filed a police report for the stolen card and unauthorized charges. the charges all took place in XXXX XXXX california, but my card was stolen while i was in XXXX which is only 30 miles from the XXXX XXXX XXXX border. the bank because the transactions took place in the united states the XXXX police could only include the actual theft of the card in the report because the card was stolen while i was in XXXX. citibank denied my claim stating their reaso as being that the charges were consistent with my normal banking habits. not true as i had just recently opened the account where i deposited {$5000.00} cash, and paid a phone bill via online billpay. there were no other transactions done by me with this account. in citibanks denial letter they state that they dont use video from atm machines or other places to conduct their investigations. thats like a homicide detective saying they dont use DNA while investigating homicides!. so i appealed that decision. only to be denied again. their reason was the same as before. they also froze my account right after i appealed the first decision.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a {$22.00} purchase at XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NJ. A {$100.00} hold was put on the card at the pump, but was not removed. Instead it went through, but I did not purchase {$100.00} of gasoline. I filed a dispute for the {$100.00}, but Citi claimed that because I was present when the card was used and I did not report my card as lost or stolen that the charge was valid and returned it to my card. I did not spend that amount on gas, and I never have. I want Citi to stick by their promise of 0 % fraud liability. This practice is allowing theft with Citi as an accomplice.

Complaint: About ten years ago, I was mislead by a XXXX, California Citibank investment account representative into opening a Brokerage account by investing in a XXXX XXXX XXXX that I later found out was newly established. He pressured me into opening the account and formed an inaccurate financial picture of me but failed to tell me that I could cancel the account within a few days while I went overseas. Needless to say, that account representative no longer works for the company. My account was charged the {$75.00} maintenance fee even though I had enough funds to have the {$75.00} amount waived ; the representative never told me there was a fee or that my account would not be charged the fee. I filed a complaint against the broker but it went unheeded. I spoke with a representative at Citibank brokerage about the fee but was advised that the fees could not be waived retroactively. I have been a Citibank customer for over fifteen years and am owed at least {$750.00} for the annual maintenance fee Citibank brokerage charges for the account. I will be closing my account and taking my hard earned earnings elsewhere due to the subpar customer service at the branch in XXXX and XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: I recently applied for the Citi Double Cash card and received my Citi Double Cash card on XX/XX/XXXX. I activated the card and was informed I can begin using my card. My two first attempts to use the card on XX/XX/XXXX the card declined. I immediately contacted Citi and was told the card is usable with no further declines. I stressed that this can not happen as I'm using this card for purchases with vendors whom I work with. I was assured there would be no further problems. On the following day I had two vendors contact me that my Citi card was declined. I again contacted Citi card and was told they need a copy of my Social Security card. I have never provided this information to a credit card company as I have excellent credit, and held credit cards for over 30 years. Also, I have another credit card currently with Citi. After almost an hour on the phone and speaking with a supervisor I requested to cancel the account as I will find a different card provider. They refused to cancel my account until I give them a copy of my social security card. I then receive a letter stating they want a copy of my social security card on XX/XX/XXXX via mail. I immediately called and stated I'm not comfortable mailing a copy of my social security card and to please cancel my account. I have not interest in doing business with this company. I was told they will not cancel my account until I mail them a copy of my SS card. At this point I have no idea what to do. I have wasted too much time and effort trying to resolve the service and cancel my account. Citi has worst service I have ever experienced.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I returned the item to the original store for a full refund of {$760.00}. I have never got XXXX credit card paper statement by mail for 4 months or payment due advice by my valid email address by XXXX XXXX Credit card company. I understand that I should have checked my online account for payment due. It was my oversight mistake. During XX/XX/XXXX Month I got my XXXX credit card statement.Also, I have noticed my credit score reported drop my credit score from XXXX to XXXX for delinquent payment.In my entire life time, I was never delinquent on my any payment that i can prove with excellent credit score. So in XX/XX/XXXX month, I contacted XXXX 's credit card customer service to make a payment and settle this matter. XXXX XXXX credit card customer service person agreed to waive all {$39.00} late fees charged and make a bank debit of {$38.00} to my bank account as a payment paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I thought this matter was settled. However, XXXX 's credit card company still sending me payment due notice {$37.00} late fee with {$2.00} interest charge for each month for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXXand reporting my delinquent payment to credit bureau and ruining my credit history. I appreciate your help in this matter causing me a lot of stress. Thanks.
