Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I made arrangements with XXXX XXXX to take out XXXX dollars monthly from my account by electronic check until the debt of XXXX was paid off. They were to be 9 checks of XXXX with the last payment of XXXX to be the last paymentmade in XX/XX/XXXX. There was audio recorded of my conversation with the representative which they have not provided. They have only provided me with the account statement. No proof of the payments that o have made. They said they had only received the first payment and last payment. Below I have provided proof that the checks and money were being taken out my account. Sears has since sold this info to XXXX XXXX XXXX and now they are harassing me.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: Was charged 18 months of interest, on snowblower that was sold to me as being interest free for 18 months then if we still had a balance after the 18 months I would be charged interest on the balance after that, tryed working this out was told pay the {$1000.00} for snowblower today and they would save me some of that charge, and that when I would pay my payment every month that I should have told them to take it of off the old balance first, so since I did not do this its my problem and owe them that {$560.00} interest, and I could close the account if I didnt like these terms, and could never have a account with them again THIS IS HOMEDEPOT CARE OF CITIBANK

Didn't receive services that were advertised
Complaint: I ran my credit score through XXXX XXXX and stated that I had a credit card account open since XX/XX/2003 which is impossible. The credit card shows as " Citicards Cbna '' and I have called the company but stated that they do not see an open account. However, the credit card shows open and i believe its part of an identity theft. Would you please help?

Complaint: Tax payer bail out of banks and dependence on banks in the modern world has become part of our history. A new history seems to be emerging based on coercion which has it's platform on social media where you only hear from those who actually write on it. Sadly businesses are making up their own laws and joining the free reign activity and forgetting what their intended purpose is about which is not law making. Government intervention is critical in stopping these businesses from changing our laws just like they have for other hot topics telling businesses they can not discriminate. Stop making up your own gun laws and discriminating against legal citizens.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I set up my checking account to make my Best Buy monthly payment on XX/XX/2018, the due date. I received an email confirming that and have attached it and never received any other type of notice contradicting that. Today XX/XX/2018 I receive a statement from Best Buy showing a past due balance indicting my payment on XX/XX/XXXX wasn't processed. I contacted customer support, they confirmed that I set up the checking account to make a payment on XX/XX/XXXX but say the payment didn't process properly because I removed my checking account from their system and while that is correct, I do not want my checking account info on Best Buy 's or any other company 's website, it shouldn't have stopped my payment from going through since the payment was confirmed by email. Apparently Best By 's only payment method is by recurring payments through a checking account but I am not comfortable with that since so many companies are having security issues. The representative was kind enough to withdraw the late fee but my records will reflect that I missed my payment and that is not true. I MADE MY PAYMENT ONTIME. I received an email confirming the payment was setup and there is no legitimate reason the payment didn't go through and there is absolutely no reason my credit should be affected by their mistake.

Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: I opened an XXXX credit card to pay for 4 new tires at the XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, LA XXXX. I did this on XX/XX/2018, agreeing to pay the initial balance of {$570.00}. Since then, I received no notice, statement, credit card or any information about how to pay this bill until I started receiving phone calls from Citibank saying the bill was past due. When I opened the credit card, I was told that a new card would be mailed to me and then I could use that card to open an account online. Since I never received the card, when Citibank called me I was unsure if this was a fraud phone call since I did not know who was servicing the XXXX credit card. That day, I asked for a mailed statement. I then asked about the address associated with the account and was told that the account was opened under then wrong address. I received my first statement about one week ago around XX/XX/XXXX. This statement had the account number on it but not the credit card information. Today I called the customer service number listed on the statement and Citibank employees then told me that I need to pay the late fees associated with the account. I am disputing the late fees since I had no way to access the account or the billing statement.
I have still not received the physical credit card or any communication from XXXX. As such, I can not register to pay online with the website listed on my statement ( XXXX ) because I do not know the credit card number or security code and have no way to access that information. A citibank employee told me that I can not access that credit card number over the phone -- and falsely told me I can register for an account using my account number. I then tried to settle the initial balance online using the account number and was unable to do so. Please let me know if you would like a recording of this phone call. Again, I am disputing the late fees since I just received a billing statement 2 months after opening the account in person.

Complaint: I no longer have my breakdown loans paid off or discharged but I do have my chapter XXXX discharge papers. My Citibank 2nd mortgage amount of about {$400000.00} subsequently discharged on XX/XX/XXXX. Citimortgage possessed a junior lien on my property that was subsequently stripped by the Chapter XXXXBankruptcy Judge in XXXX CA around XX/XX/XXXX due to the property being upside down. The last payment I made on this account was posted on or about XX/XX/XXXX.
Two days ago I received a letter that looks like they are attempting collection efforts. I called and spoke to XXXX at number on letter and he said your agency is requiring them to resend these letters to all consumers to have for their own information. The letter shows they received payments after that thru XXXX, which can not be legally possible due to lien strip.
I stilll dont feel comfortable with Citibanks reply today and I feel they are still attempting harassing collection efforts.

Problem with fees
Complaint: I have had a Citi Bank card for 6 years and 2 months. NEVER late, NEVER delinquent. 16 months ago I took advantage of a " balance transfer '' offer they had. I set an auto pay to pay DOUBLE the minimum required monthly payment. As I had everything set on auto pilot I would check my account once every 2-3 months to see the balance. Steadily the balance went down. Until XX/XX/XXXX when I looked and noticed the balance went up {$870.00} without me even using the card ( white I was still making regular payments ). I found this alarming so I contacted them. Apparently in XX/XX/XXXX they changed my monthly minimum payment which caused my auto pay to be short and thus Citi Bank charged me an obscene amount of late fees. In addition the changed my interest. All of this with ought a phone call or email notification. This resulted in my credit card balance going up {$870.00} in 4 months without me even using the card for any transactions while I've been paying the card regularly. When I called Citi Bank they refused to do anything.

Complaint: The balance on this account was supposed to be cancelled because the couch they sold me and charged to this account fell apart. They refused to honor the warranty they also charged me for. The couch was not fit for the purpose for which it was sold. The XXXX XXXX would not even take it because they would not be able to fix it so I had to pay {$300.00} to have it taken away.
Nevertheless, XXXX XXXX has refused to credit back the account. They have also refused to stop taking payments out of my checking account.
In sum, XXXX XXXX sold me a faulty product and a warranty on it that cost me more money and then refused to replace or repair the product and continue to charge me for it.

Complaint: I contacted Citibank via phone to make a routine transfer between my accounts. At the time I was told my account was " blocked ''. I later found out it was blocked due to a " XXXX '' review. An email sent to me in XXXX that I did not open requested information. Since XXXX Citibank never contacted me to follow up on the email. They never : sent a follow up email, sent a letter via mail, called me or the additional signers on the business account, They did however hold on to our hard earned money which did not allow me to access funds I needed to make payroll for my 35+ staff. I believe if they blocked my account they should give me my money and close the account - not hold on to it until it's cleared.
Further, after I submitted requested paperwork and heard it will take 4 days to clear my account NO ONE from Citibank contacted me. Instead I had to contact them on the 2nd day to find out what is going on.

Complaint: Around XX/XX/XXXX XXXX changed its credit cards from American Express to Citi cards. I had automatic payments set up for American Express. I told XXXX representatives that I did not want to open up a new citi card and agreed to closing my American Express card. Since I had automatic payments set up for my American Express, all fees should have been paid for, but Citi opened up this credit card under my name without my consent. Never did I call to activate this card nor did I sign to open this card. Instead my membership fees for XXXX was transfered over to this new Citi card without my knowledge. Around XX/XX/XXXX, I was in the process of selling/buying a home when my credit report was pulled out. This is when I first realized that I had fees and an activated card without my consent. I immediately called Citi credit cards and paid the remaining balance. I explained my situation and the representative apologized and said that this was a common complaint. She then refunded me the late fees that I was being charged. She then said that she was going to remove the lates and that she would close the account. Come to find out in XX/XX/XXXX Citi never made the changes but account was closed and paid in full. Now after numerous attempts with Citi, the continue to disagree and will not take off the incorrect late reportings for XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. It is inaccurate reporting and unfair for me especially since I am trying to buy a home. This is affecting my once pristine credit score. Please have Citi remove these lates from my credit report as they have refunded me the late fees.
