Written notification about debt

Debt collection: I do not know

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: In response to a denial of an extension of credit, this consumer checked with one or more consumer reporting agencies and discovered the following : 1. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, Credit Collection Services ( hereinafter CCS ) began furnishing negative information about this consumer to one or more consumer reporting agencies. ( See attached Exhibit A ) 2. Upon information and belief, CCS is an admitted debt collector as defined in section 803 ( 6 ) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) ( See attached Exhibit D ). As part of CCSs debt collection activities, CCS furnishes information to consumer reporting agencies. As such, CCS is a person or entity subject to regulation and liability under Section 623 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), which imposes a series of duties and prohibitions upon any person or entity that furnishes information to a consumer reporting agency. 3. Section 623 ( a ) ( 7 ) of the FCRA requires that persons or entities such as CCS send to this consumer an initial disclosure announcing that CCS may report information about this consumer to one or more consumer reporting agencies. Additionally, Section 623 ( a ) ( 7 ) of the FCRA requires that this disclosure be provided to this consumer in writing, prior to, or no later than thirty days after CCS furnishes the negative information about this consumer to a consumer reporting agency. 4. In connection with the furnishing of negative information about this consumer to one or more consumer reporting agencies, CCS failed to disclose/notify this consumer in writing that it had furnished negative information to one or more consumer reporting agencies, a practice commonly referred to as debt parking. 5. Notice of the debt and that CCS is reporting it is of particular importance to this consumer, the deprivation of which has caused this consumers character, reputation, and/or credit to be unjustly damaged. 6. The acts and practices of CCS alleged within this complaint caused this consumer to send CCS an initial communication on XX/XX/XXXX via certified mail, return receipt requested. ( See attached Exhibits B & C ) 7. Notwithstanding the five ( 5 ) day Notice requirement imposed upon debt collectors such as CCS, in an effort to show good faith, this consumer extended CCS with a period of thirty ( 30 ) days to respond to this consumers initial communication. ( See attached Exhibit C ) 8. Upon information and belief, this consumers initial communication was accepted and received by CCS on or about XX/XX/XXXX. ( See attached Exhibit B ). 9. Despite this consumers efforts to extend CCS with a reasonable amount of time to respond to this consumers initial communication with substantively admissible facts, it appears that CCS has refused and/or failed to respond to this consumers initial communication. 10. As of the date of this complaint, CCS continues to willfully and maliciously furnish negative information about this consumer to one or more consumer reporting agencies. ( See attached Exhibit B ) In addition to the foregoing, this consumer does not have in her possession a bonafide record of any transactions executed between CCS and this consumer under the alleged account # ( XXXXXX ) reflected on this consumers report. Therefore, it is reasonable for this consumer to believe that CCS has falsely represented to one or more consumer reporting agencies that CCS holds an account belonging to this consumer. Furthermore, in the absence of such a record, it is also reasonable for this consumer to believe that CCS has used this consumers identifying information without authority to manufacture into existence the alleged account ( # XXXXXX ).

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for a debt in the amount of {$300.00} which my husband and I wanted to settle. I contacted and spoke with an XXXX and the parties agreed to settle the debt in the amount of {$200.00}. ( Confirmation number XXXX ). {$100.00} was to be paid at that time with the additional {$100.00} to be paid XX/XX/XXXX. As I had another bill that was going to be withdrawn from my account I wanted to make sure that there was enough money in my account to cover both bills. Pending POS Debit - Visa Check Card XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$200.00} When I logged in I was charged the full {$200.00}. When I called back I explained that I had another bill coming out and was going to get charged a {$29.00} overdraft fee. I spoke with XXXX XXXX who informed me that yes I was correct on the payment arrangements. That the only thing she could do would be to refund the {$100.00} but it would 48 to 72 hours by the time it would be returned to my account, just in time to be taken back out not to mention still getting hit with the {$29.00} surcharge. Tonight I went back on line and it states that we still owe {$100.00} which I believe they have every intention of attempting to collect it on XX/XX/XXXX FILE NUMBER : XXXX XXXX XXXX Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Consumer : XXXX XXXX RECEIPT DATE :XX/XX/2019 Amount of the Debt : XXXX Amount as of XX/XX/19 : {$100.00} This is deceptive and theft since the agreement was for a settlement in the amount of the {$200.00} which they have already received.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Other debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I attempted to call into Credit Collection Services as they were on my credit report. I am attempting to obtain a mortgage and my lender is requiring an official letter that is on letterhead and signed stating that if I pay off this debt that it will be completely removed from my credit report. I called in and spoke to a woman, she told me that there was a disclaimer online stating this and she could not help me. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, he was very rude and told me this is not something that they normally do, that I would have to get the disclaimer online when I am making the payment. I let him know that it was a requirement of my mortgage lender and they would not accept the disclaimer. He told me that I have had 2 years to resolve this issue and I should have thought about this sooner. I was not aware of this collections account until it was brought to my attention on my credit report. He then told me I would have to make the payment with him first and then he would put in a request to his legal team that " might '' get approved and would take up to 4 business days. He basically was asking me to buy the letter from them. I told him I would be more than happy to make the payment if that letter was provided to me first and I could not take his word that I would actually receive it. He then proceeded to cut me off and then hang up the phone. I spoke with a customer service agent and senior supervisor on XX/XX/2019 at XXXX at number XXXX
