Complaint: I am in the process of disputing. This company apparently is trying to collect on a debt from an account opened XX/XX/XXXX, 22 years. It just shows up randomly on my credit report. They claim that I made a payment on it XX/XX/XXXX, which I am wondering how I would have made a payment on an account that was 19 years old. The XXXX credit report shows that the account was opened XX/XX/XXXX, which is inconsistent with the collectors admission that the account is 22 years old and that supposedly payments were made. I do not understand how companies are allowed to pass " debt accounts '' from collector to another over a period of decades. I believe that this is an attempt at fraud. To further complicate this issue, the collector listed is 'Calvary Portfolio ' however, when I called them they advised me that it was subcontracted to another collector XXXX ' and that they ( Calvary Portfolio ) were unable to access the account. Thye told me to call XXXX XXXX. When I called XXXX XXXX to dispute the issue, they advised me they would contact 'Calvary Portfolio ' who would send me details about the debt ( the company that told me they had no access to the account ). Let me tell you please, regular Americans know what this is, someone gaming the system.

Caller attempted to get my address, would not say who they are, hung up. Called again, individual who answered disclosed company name and address. Company is located in Illinois. She asked me to verify an address, and I complied, telling her my current address. She then gave me the Mini Miranda after I disclosed my personal information. XXXX South Dakota was merged with XXXX XXXX as of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX - coincidently the same time period that the debt shows as being charged off ( XX/XX/XXXX ). My XXXX report dated XX/XX/XXXX shows the account being reported with Cavalry will fall off on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX it shows it will be on my report until XX/XX/XXXX. This debt had a 1st delinquency date XX/XX/XXXX, with a charge off date with XXXX South Dakota much earlier than when reported by XXXX XXXX. I disagreed with the balance that Cavalry is reporting, in addition to the dates provided on the reports. I have disputed this debt with all three credit bureaus - XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, not once but twice, with the credit bureaus responding that the debt has been researched and no changes to the report. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, a new merged credit report was pulled showing all three credit bureaus - the Cavalry debt is now reflecting a last delinquent date of XX/XX/XXXX, a last payment date of XX/XX/XXXX, and a last activity as of XX/XX/XXXX. This is completely different information that was being previously reported and/or what is reflected on their letter they provided to me. It appears that they are trying to re-set the date - or at the very most change the time period of how long it will continue to be reported on my credit bureaus. I have attached copies of all documents mentioned in this complaint. I would like Cavalry to report correct information to all XXXX credit bureaus, or remove the debt from immediately from all XXXX reports. Thank you for your assistance

Complaint: This collection company is continuing their collection activity on this account on my credit report. I feel they did not validate this account or debt per my request that I sent them in the mail previously. They have not provided signed proof that I incurred this debt, an itemization of the debt and a copy of the underlying account statement and other written validation and explanation of the debt. Being that they failed to provide it, this is a clear violation of FDCPA. Proper validation consists of copies of some type of current creditor records, not records which only verify that the collector believes an account is valid.
