Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 Carrington Mortgages LLC approved me for a Mortgage Loan. My loan manager XXXX XXXX pre approved me for over XXXX dollars. I closed on a home on XX/XX/2018. My closing date was scheduled but it was changed four times due to inconsistencies of processing my loan application and mismanagement issues with the underwriters. I had three underwriters in the course of four month reviewing my loan. My closing dates changed four times. In fact, I was led to believe I was approved so I had an earnest money of XXXX XXXX dollars.deposit which I want in return for this issues and my loan manager not being transparent with me upfront that I wasted my time and money going through this burden past four months. My realtor told me that Carrington Mortgage LLC was going to return my deposit, I have not received it that's why I am writing this complaint I did not appreciate my loan manager speaking directly to my Realtor in reference to my loan and my medical conditions with the VA. During a conference call with the VA , my loan manager stated that I will not get a mortgage loan with another company due to what's in his credit report. I found this unprofessional and I was offended by this. This is unfair business practice and a violation of my privacy.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to make a payment on my mortgage. My mortgage was previously serviced by XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. Carrington Mortgage services is now the servicer. The terms in which my payments are processed have changed dramatically. I have to pay fees to make payments which I did not have to do before, my payments have gone up again which did not happen before, and then if I fall behind which in my almost 10 years of paying on my mortgage has happened, life happens. When I try to make my payments Carrington shuts down avenues to make them. If I am in the 30 day late category they refuse online payments and refuse over the phone payments. I spoke at length with two representatives from Carrington Mortgage Services on XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised that they will take my payment from through XXXX XXXX at an additional {$8.00} charge because they were refusing my online payment and would apply it by the end of business. I made XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX I paid more than enough to cover the late fees. That brings me less than 30 days past due. I was assured they would apply the payment and that they process payments on Saturday XX/XX/XXXX as well. Either way my payment was made before 3pm that Friday. I checked my Carrington online account and it is still not posted. This is not the first time Carrington had refused payments. I was only 1 month behind and I pay my penalty. You have people who serve their time in prison for crimes. I had an issue that arose and paid my late fee. For them to continue to penalize me and refuse my payments or not apply my payments which is the case here I feel is unacceptable. As of writing this I am officially less than 30 days past due and should be cleared on any default on my loan. I am fine with a new servicer on my loan, however I am quite offended and frustrated that I feel Carrington is not servicing my loan in the same manner it was being serviced for the almost 10 years I have had my loan. I have not signed any paperwork or agreed to any additional fees and I feel they are playing deceptive games by refusing to apply payments to try to send my loan to foreclosure. My servicer should be the one per my understanding of the law to try to help with foreclosure avoidance and refusing to apply full monthly payments, especially when such payment brings my loan back into the less than 30 days past due status I feel is fraudulent activity and I am requesting they cease and desist these perceived fraudulent activities immediately and apply any and all payments to my account and fix any damages to my credit report. I am also requesting that they go back and fix my credit for the last time they held almost 3 months of my payments in a suspense account and refused to release the payments and during that time reported negatively on my credit report.

Complaint: I started with XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX who pre-approved me for a VA loan after he ran my credit and took all my information including my income, etc. and said he could do a VA loan for me up {$160000.00}. This was in XXXX of 2018. On XX/XX/2018, I found a brand new home for myself and my family and I signed a contract. We were to close on the home XX/XX/2018. Mr. XXXX assured us this loan would go through and everything was on track but as the days passed there was little to no contact from him.I began to get more and more weary of him especially when I was getting paperwork from Carrington Mortgage. It had looked liked he brought it another mortgage company without me being aware of this. I still was not able to get in touch with him nor was my realtor or the title company.But I was signing all paperwork that I was sent and giving all the necessary information needed to proceed with the loan. Then when I finally did hear from Mr. XXXX, he told me that the loan was to be postponed to XX/XX/18 because he had not ordered the VA appraisal yet. Our realtor, the builder, the title ; company was all waiting for Mr. XXXX to order the appraisal and give final approval of out loan so that the final closing date of XX/XX/2018 could be set and then the call came in to our realtor NOT to us that our loan was in fact denied. NO explanation was ever given to anyone especially us and we were never called, never sent a letter or anything!! Never use XXXX XXXX or Carrington Mortgate. EVER. Now weeks before XXXX my family was all packed up with no home to go to.

Complaint: on XX/XX/2018 i called carrington mortgage to check on the status of the account, the rep stated i have to ask some verifying questions one of the first questions was along the lines was are you currently with your spouse? how the XXXX is this a verifying question? i resent this/outside of account number phone number, name address socoial security number or passcode.this line of questioning is out of line and to me a violation of 93 a.if they have a right to askthem fine, but the represenatives at carrington have no right to preface these are verifying questions, carrington does not want to help they just want to FORECLOSE, they cherry pick on what they wish to reply to in complaints and carefully lie with others.also they state that they were given a change of address just in XX/XX/2018 .This is a lie .Borrower has proof Carrington received in XX/XX/2018 but repeatedly ignored requests afterwards to change even though they were repeatedly told..also they had and agent tresspass on my property ( clearly marked ) to hand deliver and open notice stating confidential yet it was not put in and envelope and the other copy was strewn near the road for all to see.i want carrington to respond specifically to these 3 concerns above to do with questionining anout am i still with borrower, why are they handelivering open correspondence with all borrower sensitive persoanl information carelessly placed on my property stating they cant reach us when we have been calling in for ove r2 months now and why carrington states it was just XXXX when they received a change of a address just for there mailings and borrower provided proof through you via email it was last XXXX!!! also carrington tried to lie with there rep XXXX a so called specialist that the 150 day right to cure need not be sent out when it in fact by law had to be redone.CARRINGTON SAY THEY WANT COMMUNICATION YET THAEY MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN ACCESS TO ACCOUNT INFORMATION OR STATUS WITH RIDICULOUS ILLEGAL LINE OF QUESTIONS LIKE THEY DID BEFORE.ALSO BORROWER WANT ADDRESSED IS WHY BORROWERS CAN NOT DISCUSS THESE MATTERS ON A NON RECORFED LINE, ARE REQUEST OF A NON RECORDED LINE SHOULD NOT PRECLUDEBORROWER FROM ANY ASSISTANCE

XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, IN XXXX demanding $ XXXXfor none payment of mortgage from XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/2018. I received a letter XX/XX/2018 stating my mortgage was sent to the carrington company and to make mortgage payment to them starting XX/XX/2018. XX/XX/2018 l sent a certified check in the amount of {$1100.00} to carrington company and the check was returned with a letter stating l owed them {$7000.00}. i CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY STATED NO MORTGAGE PAYMENTS WERE PAIR TO XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/2018. I explained to them that l paid the mortgage during that time in person to the regency XXXX, in XXXX, Fl. I have been trying to contact the mortgage dept of XXXX to know avail. The money seems to have been stolen from my account. I ask for a copy of my payment account and no one will help me.

Complaint: Please read the email I sent the mortgage advocates on XX/XX/XXXX below. They have not responded. Hello, I have had an issue with Carrington Mortgage falsely reporting late payments to my Mortgage Account. I initially bought my home in XX/XX/XXXX, funded through XXXX XXXX XXXX. Carrington Mortgage Services bought out the loan in XX/XX/XXXX. We were assured our loan would not be sold so we could have a local business to walk into to settle any issues with our Mortgage. Our Loan Details - Signed in person with XXXX XXXX XXXX : Fixed Rate - 3.75 % - 30 YEAR LOAN beginning XX/XX/XXXX. Loan Amount : {$240000.00} P & I - {$110000.00} Hazard Insurance - {$88.00} Flood Insurance : {$160.00} Total Monthly Payment : {$1600.00} Carrington lowered the Escrow Payment for a couple months so our overall monthly payment was XXXX, Then in XX/XX/XXXX, they readjusted it to {$1800.00}. Please review the attached documents. The mortgage payment breakdown shows the extra payments made, and the corresponding months the payments were made for. If you view the screen shots, you will see the discrepancies in the web page between my monthly statements and account payment history. We have never been late. We have made extra payments. I had noticed a couple of months ago that Carrington reported a late payment and an INCREASE in my principal balance from {$230.00},??? to {$230.00},??? to the credit agencies ( XXXX, etc. ). I have never been late on a payment. The error was corrected, however a late fee is still showing up on my statement. It was also reported to the credit agencies and causing a significant reduction in my credit score when I am trying to refinance my house through a more reputable VA loan. How is it possible for my principal balance to INCREASE, Especially when extra payments were made to principal throughout the year??? I attempted to contact a representative to sort through this. The person on the line did not speak fluent English and was located in a foreign country. I asked to be transferred to an English speaking American. She requested I provide my social security number over the phone before she could transfer me. I told her for security purposes, I would not provide my social but I would provide my account number. She said she already had that. I told her I would provide my social to the American I was transferred to. She refused to transfer me. A day or two later, Carrington showed up on my caller ID. I answered the phone as I needed to resolve this matter and the person on the other end hung up on me. I am so irritated with this company. I read reviews on the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Many others have had many of the same issues as I have over the past couple of months. If this issue is NOT resolved within the next 24 hours, I will be reporting Carrington 's fraud and scams to a variety of agencies including but not limited to the Treasury Department Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. I have requested statements from the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I expect to receive those in the next few days. I also have bank records back to XX/XX/XXXX and I have requested copies of the bank records from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX to verify the automatic withdraw of mortgage payments through my credit union and banks. Immediate Action Requested ( Within the next 24 hours ) : 1 ) Remove the increased balance AND late status from my credit report. 2 ) Correct my statements and Loan Payoff request information to accurately reflect the payments I made ( early and extra ). 3 ) Credit my account and send an apology letter for the XXXX and XXXX you have caused me, and for the delay in my refinance progress.

Complaint: On the date of XX/XX/XXXX received a certified letter stating that I have a Notice of Intent to Foreclose. It stated this was for non Payment of Portage for XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.I immediately contacted Their loan department and did make a payment. I informed the customer service representative that i was not aware of any non payments. I have been on automatic withdrawal ( ACH ) since I purchased this property, over 13 years. I have never missed a payment. The automatic withdrawal discontinued without my knowledge and i would like to know why. I have notified my bank and they are unaware of any stop payments. They also stated that it would have had to come from the department who is in charge of all ACH withdrawals. I asked to have this situation to be rectified immediately so it will not have any negative impact on my credit. I personally called the Rep at the Mortgage company, and asked what happened. I was then informed by the rep, " don't you check your bank account? '' I replied, " I don't need too, i don't live paycheck to paycheck, i know what is in my account. '' I was also informed in a separate letter that I will be having approximately XXXX dollars a year added to my mortgage payment for " mandatory flood insurance '' if i don't get it within 45 days from the date of the letter from another company. I do not believe it is lawful to mandate " flood insurance '' especially since i never signed up for this upon the original purchase contract of my home. To make it worse, the company sent me an offer via email to purchase my home cash for {$38000.00}. It is my belief, that the mortgage company initiated the reversal of my electronic payment, sat on it, for two months. All in order for me to default on my home and them to offer me {$38000.00} for a buy out. This in unethical, unlawful, and this has occurred with other companies such as XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they were held liable financially. The company also lowered my credit rating due to their negligence.

Complaint: Carrington Mortgage XXXX refuses to take my payments and only is interested in foreclosure. I have tried several times to get caught up but they refuse to do anything. They tell me to make payments, I try, they send them back, then place my property in foreclosure forcing me to pay exorbitant fees. Their mortgage assistance process is for show only. They only do it because its a legal requirement. I have paid these people over XXXX dollars in the last 3 years, almost none of it going to my actual mortgage. The internet is full of other people with the same complaint. They should not be allowed to do business at all, much less be able to service government or low income loans. All they wish to do is foreclose.
