I did mistakingly make a payment via Credit / debt card for {$1800.00} on XX/XX/2018 but our back deemed the charge a fraud and canceled the transaction, i have attached the emailed letter sent to me. A XXXX search of the number they call from shows multiple fraud complaints and unfair attempts to collect on old non existent debt. i believe it may be an XXXX XXXX Mastercard

Complaint: I am on both the national credit card offer opt-out list and the junk mail opt-out list. I moved in XXXX, 2017 and since then I have been getting repeating credit card offers from Capital One. I contacted them via social media and they provided a procedure for stopping the offers which I completed. Yet, the credit card offers from Capital One have continued non-stop. I repeated my contacts and they just keep referring me to their opt-out procedure. It would be foolish to keep doing it over and over without results. Several years ago, I had to contact this agency for the same reason and regarding the same company, Capital One. At that time, your intervention stopped the offers. Apparently moving to a new address gives them license to begin the incessant offers all over again.

Complaint: My wife and I were going through financial hardship. We spoke with a manager explaining our unique situation and made a payment on both my wife 's credit cards with capital one. Capital one accepted the payments, we setup a card in which I get automatic deposit from state of Oklahoma because I have a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and receive SSI. My wife was XXXX at the time and in fact has been XXXX for the past two years. The amount we could pay on both cards was {$25.00} per card. I gave the account manager the information to make monthly payments on each card. 6 months goes by without a phone call and we received one stating we are nearing 6 months behind. I called and spoke with customer service and stated what I have mentioned above and that they need to check their records and listen to the pre-recorded conversation my wife and I had with Capital One. The customer service agent said they would review the recordings and get back with us. I never got a call back and had to call them. They said they don't keep recordings for that long. We made an attempt to pay at least something towards this debt. Capital one communication failed to even call us back. In fact the amount we paid before was suppose to divided between the two cards and they put it on only the card with the greater debt. Now they have hired counsel and want to take my wife to court. My wife had added me to the debt. I also have been in communication with the nation debt consolidation and relief. Please help us as I do believe we have been treated unfairly. We also have not received any communication since the incident by mail from capital one. Nor have we received any attempts to collect on debt. Just a service by process on my wife. They served her and I accepted service even though they didn't serve her by her correct legal name. I do believe I have more documentation on this as well. Thank you

Complaint: I took a loan with Capital One Auto Finance in XX/XX/2017. I have made every payment on time. Capital One 's agreement was to charge {$230.00} per month. I signed up for this. Now after 11 months, Capital One is charging {$230.00} per month while NOT applying my payments to the amount due per month while taking interest payment. The loan has been paid ahead. Capital One has told me that I can not make payments more than 30 days in advance which MAKES ZERO SENSE. Their goal is to bilk the interest while penalizing me for paying ahead. They SHOULD NOT by law be able to take interest on the loan IF NOT APPLYING IT TO THE MONTHLY LOAN PAYMENT. They SHOULD NOT RAISE the monthly rate, as this was not deemed an adjustable loan, but a fixed monthly payment! I have asked several times why Capital One is doing this, and I get convoluted answers.

Complaint: XXXX ( one credit card ) and CapitalOne ( two credit cards ) have told me out of the blue they decided to make a business decision to close my wifes and my credit cards. All of my three cards were closed in the month of XX/XX/2018. We tried calling to request what we did wrong to only get a representative either not understanding why it was closed or just a flat answer of " the credit card companies aren't making money off you so they decided to close your account '' and it was a business decision. We asked for help from all the credit cards and asked if we did something wrong please let us know so we can avoid this in the possible future, but they didn't have an answer for this as well. One of my CapitalOne credit card I had for more than 12 years. Most of the times we paid our bills on time in full. A few times we had maybe less than {$2.00} interest charges ( attached statement summaries ). My credit score was over 800 on XXXX before our credit card companies closed our accounts. The last major transactions we did were some credit transfers because we were trying to avoid being charged too much interest as my wife is a small business owner. We used our credit card with the various credit products the credit card companies offered and now we are being penalized. These companies offer credit line product that will cause us to lose out on our American dream of owning a home. We were planning on buying a home this coming year so I worked hard to keep my credit score close to 800. Also, I was planning on using my credit line to start up an internet business too. I lost a total of {$60000.00} in credit line. This was all in one month.

Despite the representative advising that she added the C & D on the account, I have still received 5 phone calls, within 20 hours of advising of C & D.

Complaint: On today approximately at XXXX XXXX. My capital one credit card was declined at the XXXX XXXX XXXX for less roughly {$10.00}. I used my XXXX instead. After being EMBARESSED, I pulled over and called Capital one. I was informed i needed to speak to the fraud dept. I spoke to a rep. that I later transferred me to a Supervisor upon my request. the supervisor XXXX employee number XXXX who informed me that i would need to collect government issued IDs and social security cards from all of the newly added authorized users and the authorized users that was already added and had not been previously asked for any of this information. I then requested to have them removed as I can not control if each person would give me both DL and SS card ( copies ) My son whom is a student does not have a government issued ID and I have no plans on doing such at this time would also need those items.. WITHOUT each person providing their info my card would be RESTRICTED. I have never been late and have had my card for several years. I am floored as, my son uses his card and i could have been out of town on business. If I had what would have happened. I did not receive an email or a phone call from the fraud dept. In times before they send emails to confirm purchases and ensure quality and consumer protection ... This is not quality or consumer protection. I ordered the cards and they are being sent to my secure address and it is the address that was on file. I read and called to ask for authorized user guidelines and limitations and was never told that requesting a certain means you have to PROVE certain things and IT will lock your card if all parties are not comfortable with sending over information.. I believe in Policy and Procedure.. I do not believe in XXXX gestures. These above actions should have fix actions, of Capital One client retention. I would like capital one to understand some people will provide me with their information and others do not feel comfortable sending those XXXXwo piece of VERY SENSITIVE information. As the PRIMARY account holder I am responsible for the account and the charges.. I can not make them want to send over that information ... which ultimately will have me paying my card off and closing my account. I have several cards with Capital One and all in exceptional standing.. I also am an authorized user on a family members card and I was NEVER asked for PHOTO ID AND SS .... THIS IS A FORM OF DISCRIMINATION. I was also told this was FEDERALLY mandated to ask for the ID AND SS .... i have read disclosured and printed them from Capital and the Federal Government and could not find such law

Complaint: I have an account showing on my XXXX credit report. The account is from Capital One Credit Card. It was charged off in XX/XX/XXXX. It was reporting as still open so I disputed it. Capital One then started showing the account as charged off, however they show the date of it being charged off as the current month in XX/XX/XXXX, so they are reporting a new charge off every single month. I disputed it with XXXX and the date was corrected, however the next month it was back showing as a brand new charge off for the current month. I disputed it again, it was corrected, however again the next month it shows as a new chargeoff being charged off again in the current month. I disputed and it was corrected again, and just today it showed up as being charged off as of yesterday 's date, XX/XX/XXXX. I would like this resolved immediately. I shouldn't have to call and dispute every single month in order to have an accurate report. Capital one is manipulating the chargeoff dates in order to collect on this account that had unauthorized charges on it. It needs to be corrected or completely removed from my credit report. This is an illegal practice on the part of Capital One. Each time this has made my credit score drop 35 to 55 points. If it were reported correctly that would have happened in XX/XX/XXXX, the date it really charged off and although the chargeoff in general would be affecting my score, it would be aged and my score wouldn't be dropping every single month they fraudulently report wrong information on purpose.
