Complaint: I am getting the round around from the customer service department of Capital One. I am an existing customer and I am being treated like a criminal!! I have an account with this company and I am being treated like a number with them. I am trying to activate my card and I am told that it may take up to two weeks. I called the fraud division today two times and I was hung on the first time and I was put on hold for 11 minutes the second time. I opened a new card on XX/XX/XXXX and was told to fax in my utility bill and other private information ( social security and ID ). After a week I called to check on the status of my card. I was told that the fax I was told to send was blurry and they then told me to download the same information from my cell phone and that they would then activate my card. It has been 4 days and my new card is still not activated! When I call to ask why it is not activated I am put on hold for 11-20 minutes and then the customer service rep hangs up on me. This is the worst customer service I have had in years especially since I already have a card account with this company. I have called to verify that I am the consumer but no one will treat me with respect. They are saying that I am a liar and that I am not the person who opened this account when I have faxed and downloaded information through my cell phone! This company is rude and the customer service is terrible!

Complaint: My Menards card was declined in the store on XX/XX/XXXX. I called Menards Billing at XXXX, spoke w/XXXX who said the account has been closed due to " months and months '' of non-payment. I explained my current bill ( XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX ) showed {$330.00} due on XX/XX/XXXX, which was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. Further, there was a {$62.00} payment made on XX/XX/XXXX, so there was no " months and months '' of non-payment. I did miss my XXXX payment, however I also explained that I had called Menards Billing regarding my bill each month to let them know I was experiencing hardship due to an XXXX injury resulting in XXXX to my XXXX XXXX, requiring XXXX in early XX/XX/XXXX, which left me unable to work during all of XXXX and most of XXXX. I also explained at that time that I now have new employment working for the XXXX XXXX system, and my income is increased substantially. XXXX was apologetic, however he said the account has been closed and nothing further can be done. He welcomed me to apply for new credit if I still wanted to do business with Menards. I never received any notification of impending account closure, neither via phone call or email, and my account was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. In addition, when I log on to my account billing, it shows a current balance of {$0.00} with available credit of {$3500.00}, giving appearances of the account being active and in good standing. Please assist! I would like for my account to be re-opened in good standing with no reduction in credit. Thank you, I appreciate your expertise!

Complaint: XXXX XXXX Is calling me and family members I am no longer in contact with constantly. This is regarding a supposed debt from XXXX XXXX from 2012, which I have disputed. There is no outstanding account from this bank on my credit report. If indeed it is something from 2012, I find it ironic that they are calling me now to collect just under the seven year deadline. XXXX XXXX is using abusive threatening language, hanging up on me when I ask for documentation, accusing me of being unintelligent, and ar overall rude. I want these calls to stop immediately and Ive asked them to stop calling my family. They refused to do so and are threatening to come to my house with legal papers. I asked them to send me something in writing, which I believe is my right and they refused to do so. They tell me I have to get a lawyer to contact them.

I asked about this inquiry and getting it removed from these 2 reports, and they said I need to mail them a letter and it could take up to 60 days. It takes 1 day to place this on my report I need it removed.. I am trying to obtain financing and this inquiry is making my report not look good and

Complaint: We are a public radio station and we do the usual things for fundraising -- direct mail, pledge drives and on line web form. Our call letters are XXXX ( XXXX, CA XXXX FM ) If anyone with a CapitalOne Credit Card makes a pledge it goes through, and we get the money deposited in our account. Then Capital One sends our customers ( donors ) a statement and instead of listing XXXX on the statement it shows " XXXX-Other Services '' and has the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX logo with a picture of XXXX XXXX. Customer freaks out " I didn't buy {$100.00} of chicken -- someone must of stolen or hacked my card!! '' and files a fraud report. Then XXXX/XXXX deducts the money they donated PLUS a {$35.00} " Charge Back FEE '' from our account!!
