Complaint: I applied for the Barclaycard Upromise for the " {$100.00} Bonus After First Use '' and to get a free XXXX score and to have a XXXX. They then sent me a letter ( WEIRDLY, IT WAS A COPY OF A LETTER, NOT AN ORIGINAL LETTER which XXXX always gets from Legitimate companies ) - and I was then asked for an " original bill ''. I sent them an older electric bill, because I do n't get original bills anymore ; it 's all online. But here is my problem : I never heard from them again. This is the second time I have ever had this happen in my life : Barclays and XXXX.
Is it normal or reasonable, or legal, for a company to collect all of your personal data, and even an original bill and you never hear from them again??
1. If I am turned down - despite XXXX debtedness, and no negatives on my XXXX report, then I want a reason, but mainly I want a free copy of the Credit Report from the agency they used. ( Based on research, I think it is XXXX, but I do n't know for sure. ) It feels like a scam. I also suddenly got many XXXX and Phishing Scam emails in my normally pristine Mailbox ; I NEVER get junk, much less XXXX, at that email address anymore. )

Complaint: When I got my Wyndham Rewards Visa Signature card last year, XXXX of the terms on the card was that on every anniversary, I will receive XXXX Wyndham Rewards points. The anniversary is in XX/XX/XXXX ( so its almost 4 months into the year now ) and I still have n't received my rewards points. I initially reached out to Wyndham and they redirected me to Barclays bank because Barclays bank services the card. I reached out to Barclays several times in the past couple of months and they keep asking me to wait. When I called in XX/XX/XXXX they told me that the points will be credited on XX/XX/2016. Today is XX/XX/2016 and that has n't happened so I called them again and again same story where another team handles the issue and the customer service team ca n't really do anything to expedite the process. As a customer I expect the points to be credited in a timely manner without me having to follow up several times. In exceptional scenarios when things go wrong and I do have to follow up, I expect customer service to solve the issue on the first call and/or give me a definitive date on when it will be resolved - not just kicking the can down the road expecting the customer to eventually give up. I want to use these points to book a reservation for an upcoming trip and ca n't because Barclays would n't credit it in a timely manner.

Complaint: I feel like my credit card is double-billing me. I pay off a balance several times a week and since they are so slow to post transactions, or post them in posted and temporary transactions at the same time, it is confusing. Then I 'll sign on later that week and see that there are new charges that I think I 've already paid for! I 'd like you to look into their accounting practices.

Complaint: Barclaycard talked to me on XXXX XXXX, 2016 informing me that there had been a payment that did not go through to them on my autopay ( though funds were always available and nothing changed on the side of my bank ) on my barclaycard XXXX XXXX. When I spoke to them on XXXX XXXX, I made a payment immediately by telephone which cleared my bank on XXXX XXXX as suggested by the barclaycard associate on the telephone. Barclaycard had never sent me anything in the mail to inform me that there had been any difficulty with the auto-pay or that any monies were owed because of it. The associate told me that my payment of {$91.00} would put the account back into good standing - protecting my credit and giving me the opportunity to continue with my barclaycard XXXX XXXX. In good faith and taking the company at their word, I made the payment. Today, XX/XX/XXXX2016 I received a letter from Barclaycard dated XXXX XXXX referencing a credit report that they pulled on me ( without prior authorization ) that was dated XXXX XXXX, 2016. The letter stated that based on the information that they had on XXXX XXXX that my account was to be closed. Regardless of already possessing this information, barclaycard coerced me into making a payment after the date of the report under the pretenses that my account would be in good standing. Needless to say, that was a lie to simply collect the payment.
I am concerned that in an attempt to collect on a debt that barclaycard and its employees knowing lied to me about the effects of making a payment while already possessing foreknowledge that the account was slated for closure. I believe that a collection violation and fraud has taken place in the knowing misportrayal of the situation to me by barclaycard.

Complaint: Received an offer on my XXXXMiles Member account to receive XXXX bonus miles after {$1000.00} purchase if I obtained a XXXX XXXX XXXX. When the card arrived in the mail the paperwork indicated I would only receive XXXX miles. I called customer service, they opened a case and said they did not know of any XXXX miles offer. The following day I received the same offer for XXXX in the mail. I emailed the retention area the copies and have been getting the run around for two weeks. I never activated the card as I had no intention of keeping it if this was a scam. I called today and requested they close the account as I did not wish to pay the annual fee which was billed to me. The paymentioned was due and I was not paying the if I was n't keeping the card.
