Complaint: I have a mortgage with Amerihome on a rental property I own in XXXX TN. On X/X/18 they claimed that they had not received an invoice, so I collected the fax number from them and asked my agent to resend the invoice. ( They had previously sent the invoice and breakdown on XX/XX/18 ). Because this policy covers three properties with two loan servicers, the agent explained to the Amerihome insurance department representative that the check needed to be made out to the iinsurance agency, not to XXXX XXXX, and the agency would in turn combine the payments to send to XXXX. Amerihome ignored this request, and sent the check made out to XXXX, who will not accept partial payments. As a result, our policy on all three properties has been canceled, and must now go through underwriting.
Yesterday my agent called and tried to speak with someone, and was refused service and hung up on. I called today, and managed to get a call through to a supervisor, XXXX XXXX, and had a conference call between he and my agent. She requested that the corrected check be overnighted, and he refused, saying it would take approximately 3 days. Bear in mind, that is three more days that I am left vulnerable and with no insurance through no fault of my own. This seems to me a blatant failure to pay in a timely manner from my escrow account.

Complaint: I purchased my home in XXXX XXXX using a mortgage broker ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Shortly after they sold my loan to AmeriHome Mortgage Company , LLC who would be financing my loan. The loan type is Fixed Rate - 30 Year.
Concern 1 : My escrow shortage does n't look accurate Concern 2 : My monthly payment is going up almost 7 % and I can not afford the new rate Concern 3 : After escalating the issue internally at AmeriHome - they will no longer discuss my issue with me, nor will they return my e-mails or phone calls.
XXXX XXXX I received a letter from AmeriHome stating my escrow shortage was {$3100.00} & my new monthly payment amount would also increase $ XXXX ; or I could not pay the shortage and my new payment amount would go up {$360.00}. I had a concern about where about {$1200.00} of this shortage was derived.
On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I reached out to AmeriHome to discuss the shortage and where the numbers were coming from, only getting the response that " its from your Insurance and Taxes. '' I looked at the numbers myself but they did n't seem to add up. I asked for the customer service rep to escalate to a supervisor, at which time I was put in contact with XXXX. At this point, all I was trying to do was pay the shortage and overfund my escrow account to keep my payment amounts the same and I was informed that it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to do that, even though I can not afford the increase stating if they get audited they 'll get in trouble. With proper documentation - they should easily be able to explain that to an auditor. Since I was n't getting the resolution I needed, I asked for the next escalation point, at which time I was told to contact XXXXXXXXXXXX with the subject line " Office of the President ''. I did so on the same day requesting a call back. I followed up via e-mail on the XXXX, XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, and XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, as well as by phone on XXXX. The last phone call I had with a customer service rep on XXXX - I expressed my concerns w/ the lack of response from the " Office of the President '' and let me know the supervisors would no longer discuss my concern with me because the issue has been escalated to the " Office of the President. '' My last correspondence with AmeriHome on XXXX was via e-mail letting them know if they can not get back with me by COB XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I would seek other escalation points.
I need help. If this is not the right avenue for escalation, maybe you can point me in the direction of someone who can help? I am trying to pay the company, but I just want to have a conversation with someone from their company that can provide sound explanation for their claims and work with me to keep me from having to sell my home because I can not afford the new monthly payment.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, our mortgage was reinstated through the trustee. We are still getting hang-up calls from the mortgage company, and have contacted their attorney after calling about being able to make the XXXX payment. The representative said we were still being foreclosed on, and hung up yet again. We spoke with the Mortgage company 's attorney, who said the case has been closed since the XXXX of XXXX, and that we were good, so why are we still having these problems with this awful mortgage company? AMERIHOME Mortgage Company is the most disorganized XXXX show I have ever seen. We are still waiting for them to fix payments that were " LOST ''. We almost lost our home because of this company who bought out our mortgage, and to top it off, some guy comes to our house today to do an appraisal, which we turned down, from some bank in NJ. Why are laws not being followed? Why does this company have no regard for business practices, ethics, laws, and integrity? And lastly, why is no one doing anything about this horrible company? Complaint: I have an escrow account with my mortgage company. It is set up to pay my home insurance and property tax. I pay {$730.00} of every mortgage payment {$2100.00} to my escrow account. Every year I get an annual escrow account disclosure statement which determines if Im paying too much or not enough and my mortgage payment is adjusted accordingly. This year I have an overpayment so I received a check {$330.00} In the same letter my mortgage company is INCREASING my mortgage payment. I feel my mortgage payment should be reduced if not at least remain the same.
Im also billed {$200.00} mortgage insurance which my mortgage company seems unable/incapable of explaining I called my mortgage company spoke to XXXX who identified herself as a manager and was unable to satisfy my questions she acknowledged my taxes remained the same and my insurance increased {$76.00} the {$330.00} is more than needed to cover that increase

Complaint: I had a home built with a construction loan and at the end of the build, had the loan converted to a VA loan with XXXX XXXX. The process was wonderful and I have respect for that company ( XXXX ) and its employees. Just a short couple of months after I closed the loan ( XX/XX/XXXX ), the loan was sold to AmeriHome Mortgage ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX XXXX ). ( The first payment due to AmeriHome was sent XX/XX/XXXX for the XX/XX/XXXX payment. ) I realized that the escrow being collected was in excess, but until I received my first tax bill, I had no proof. My homeowners insurance amount was confirmed and when I received my tax information from XXXX County, I notified AmeriHome at the above listed number. My contact with AmeriHome is as follows : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX AmeriHome said that they were " working on the escrow '' and that the overage would be refunded and adjustment would be done in no more than 30-60 days XX/XX/XXXX XXXX AmeriHome stated that it was NOT in review and they needed copies of the tax document. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I was told that an escrow analysis would be completed by Friday XX/XX/XXXX and the tax bill I had sent was seen in their system. I was told that the escrow analysis would be run by XX/XX/XXXX and sent out.
XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I contacted CFPB and was told that AmeriHome had 30 days to respond and then an additional 15 days.
XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I contacted AmeriHome and informed them that I had contacted CFPB and was given the information about the 30 day window. The representative performed the escrow analysis while I was on the phone ( less than 2 minutes of " hold '' time and was told that they would send an analysis to me and a refund check within 7-10 days.
XX/XX/XXXX I called to check status of the check and was told that it " had to go through series of checks and balances '' and that it was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX, ( I do n't ' yet have the check for over {$4000.00} ) I have received information that my new loan amount has been lowered starting XX/XX/XXXX, but have not received any of the monies due me.

Complaint: OnXX/XX/XXXX my husband and I refinanced our mortgage with a mortgage broker. The loan is owned by XXXX XXXX but serviced AmeriHome Mortgage in New Jersey. During the closing we signed a Wisconsin Escrow Tax form for our property taxes, selecting option 1 making AmeriHome obligated to send us our property tax payment by XX/XX/XXXX. After still not receiving a check on XX/XX/XXXX, I called AmeriHome and spoke to a customer service rep whose name I did not get. She informed me that they pay taxes by the due date, in XX/XX/XXXX. I informed her that I had a signed a document at the closing of our refinance selecting the option in which they had to send us a check. She eventually figured out we lived in Wisconsin and put me on hold. When she came back to she said she had opened a work order and our check would be cut and sent to us right away. I informed her that send via mail would not get us the check in time to pay the bill byXX/XX/XXXX and I said I wanted the check send overnight delivery. And she agreed.
OnXX/XX/XXXX after not receiving a check I called AmeriHome customer service and spoke with XXXX. Who also began to disagree with me about the option I selected at our closing and that I was to inform them by XX/XX/XXXX if I wanted to change my option. By this call I had already dug up our paperwork and informed her that I have a signed copy right in front of my face with a clearly marked check in option 1. Eventually she agreed that they made a clerical mistake but there was already a work order entered in their system to get our option changed so that a check could be cut and to call backXX/XX/XXXX because that is when they would make the change. She insisted this was the best she could do and if there was anything further she could do she would but she could not. I eventually gave up with her. Hung up and called to inform our mortgage broker what was going on and how angry and disgusted I was with the company he had sold our mortgage to.
Not accepting of XXXX suggestion to wait for them to decide to make the correction of their mistake on our account, I called again XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with XXXX. She informed me of the same load of XXXX as the previous customer service reps. I told her their clerical mistake was not an acceptable excuse and I wanted someone that could actually fix their mistake. She said that would be a supervisor. She placed me on hold for more than 5 minutes. When she finally came back she gave me the name XXXX and said his extension is XXXX. He was busy at the moment so I would likely get his voicemail. Of course, I did. I left a message stating my name and phone number, that I did not get my escrowed tax payment check by XX/XX/XXXX like stated on the form signed at our closing and that I expected a check to be cut immediately and sent for overnight delivery by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. And I never heard a word back from XXXX. No voicemail returned. No phone call EVER received. This is the day I also filed my first complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. And began digging for more agencies to report this horrible mortgage company.
Today isXX/XX/XXXX. I again called and started with XXXX and she forwarded me to supervisor XXXX. XXXX stated that they expected to resolve the issue today and a check should be sent but could not guarantee that a tracking number would be available by end of business today. So once again horrible customer service from a company whose sole job is to service customers. I admit this time I lost my cool and hung up on the woman after stating my piece on how this was unacceptable and that if they really wanted to fix this issue in a timely manner they would have done so already and that I can no longer trust anything they tell me anyway. I also informed both women that I had begun to search options to report this issue to any and all agencies.
Again, I will be calling this disgusting mortgage company tomorrow and I will be calling them every day until a check is in my hand and all applicable expenses reimbursed. I am also reporting them to Consumer Financial Protection, the Better Business Bureau, my state representatives and any other agency I can find. There is no excuse for this. None. I have a copy of the piece of paper signed. Even if it was a clerical issue there is no excuse for a correction to take more than 3 business days to fix. A check should have been cut immediately on my first call and sent overnight for delivery on Friday, XX/XX/XXXXlike the first customer service agent from above implied was happening.

Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : I write to request your assistance in resolving a billing dispute that I am having with my mortgage servicer, Amerihome Mortgage. My previous phone and written attempts ( which included documentation of the harm they caused me ) to resolve this dispute with them have been unsuccessful. I feel like they are stonewalling me because they think they can get away with it.
The facts of this matter are as follows. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I used Amerihomes automated payment system to pay my XXXX bill with a payment from my credit union account where I had sufficient funds to pay the bill. I received a confirmation number from Amerihomes system indicating that the payment had gone through. I found out later that Amerihome incorrectly billed my XXXX XXXX account, even though I had put in the routing number and account number for my personal credit union account. Not only that but Amerihome billed the incorrect account not once but twice without telling me it had done so. That caused me to sustain late fees and a bad check fee of {$20.00} from Amerihome on XXXX XXXX due to their billing error. I also sustained two NSF charges from the bank where I have my XXXX XXXX account totaling {$66.00}.
I called Amerihomes customer service department to try to resolve this on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and the first representative was unable to help me. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was passed on to a XXXX named XXXX, who also identified himself as an XXXX XXXX. I told him that I had made a payment to their automated payment system on XXXX XXXX to be made from my personal credit union checking account had received a confirmation number and later found out that his company had billed the wrong account. I told him that it appeared to me to be a systemic problem at his end. He then made the breathtaking claim to me that their billing system can not save bank account numbers. I have found that statement to be not true. Indeed, what occurred in XXXX and XXXX appears to have happened because Amerihomes system defaulted to the financial institution that I had made payment from the prior month - that which XXXX falsely said was not possible. This same thing also happened with the XXXX incident less than six months later. He also told me that his companys records showed that my payment was billed to my XXXX XXXX account which is the problem since I had specifically designated payment to come from my personal credit union account. I asked him in light of the error by his company to waive all of the late fees and notify the credit agencies that this late payment was due to his companys error. XXXX refused to do so. I then asked to speak to someone else in management. He told me that someone would call me back within 24 hours. No one from Amerihome ever called me back on this matter. So, I felt even back then like Amerihome was stonewalling on this issue because they did not want to accept financial responsibility for their billing error. I sustained hard financial damages of {$220.00} from the XXXX billing error that was caused by Amerihome and damage to my credit rating.
This same problem repeated itself in the XXXX timeframe. As a result I called Amerihome on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and spoke to a XXXX XXXX about this second instance of incorrect billing by her company. At that time she admitted to me that Amerihome had charged the wrong account for my twin payments on XXXX XXXX and again on XXXX XXXX. She agreed that Amerihome would credit back all of the late fees I was assessed for this error. I sent her a letter on XXXX XXXX, XXXX listing all of the late fees I was assessed by my bank and credit union for their errors. A copy of that letter is attached. I sustained {$230.00} in financial damages from the XXXX billing error by Amerihome and damage to my credit rating. At this same time one of my credit cards sharply cut my credit limit. I believe this was due to Amerihome wrongly reporting me as a month late on my mortgage due to their billing error.
In response to my XXXX XXXX letter I received a computer generated form letter from Amerihome dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, but postmarked XXXX XXXX that only said they had reported to the credit reporting agencies that my XXXX payment was not late. It did not mention my XXXX payment or even address the damages that I had documented in my XXXX XXXX letter that their error had caused me. In other words, they took an approach evasion and stonewalling.
I wrote back to Amerihome on XXXX XXXX telling them that they had substantially not solved this problem to my satisfaction. A copy of that letter is attached.
On XXXX XXXX, XXXX a XXXX XXXX of XXXX wrote to me. She falsely claimed that, the dispute did not contain details about late fees and other charges applied to the account. This is despite the fact that the XXXX XXXX letter I sent to Amerihome, as you can can see from the attachment did have such details. The original letter also had documentation of the expenses I had incurred due to their billing errors.
XXXX XXXX in her letter to me said that she had forwarded ( your ) request to the appropriate department for further review. In the three months since XXXX XXXX wrote to me I have received no further communication from her or from the appropriate department regarding my claims concerning the XXXX wrong billing incident or for reimbursement of the expenses I incurred from my bank and credit union due to their billing errors. It clearly appears that Amerihome is stonewalling me to hope that I give up and they dont have to reimburse me for the cost to me of their billing errors in XXXX and XXXX XXXX.
I am writing for your help to convince Amerihome to do the right thing and implement the following remedies for the consequences of their billing errors : 1. Amerihome to pay me of {$450.00}, plus interest for actual financial damages I sustained from Amerihome 's two mortgage billing errors where they attempted to draw funds from the wrong accounts concerning my XXXX and XXXX mortgage payements. Details of how this was calculated are included in my XXXX XXXX letter to Amerihome.
2. Amerihome to provide me with clear documentary proof that they notified all of the national credit reporting agencies that my XXXX and XXXX payments were not late.
3. Amerihome to provide a letter each to my credit union ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and my XXXX XXXX bank ( XXXX XXXX ) with copies to me that the overdrafts and bad check events resulted from their billing errors.
XXXX. That Amerihome provide proof that they have a realistic corrective action plan being implemented to prevent these billing mistakes from occurring to anyone else in the future.

Complaint: Our new home mortgage was acquired by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Our escrow account was funded with over $ XXXX at that time for taxes due XX/XX/XXXX. 4 months later on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent over $ XXXX in payments from my escrow account t for taxes on homes I do not own. I made XXXX calls and got someone who said they 'd address in XXXX weeks. On XX/XX/XXXX $ XXXX payment was disbursed from my escrow for accounts that are not mine. It 's currently XX/XX/XXXX and my valid tax accounts are unpaid.
XXXX has XXXX tax accounts associated to my escrow account that are invalid. I fear there are many more payments to be made in the coming days and their customer service has not addressed the issue.
Once these funds are refunded to me we will refinance through a real bank. Can you help us get our funds back and stop the erroneous disbursements from our escrow account?

Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX hereby files a complaint against a mortgage servicer known as AmeriHome Mortgage. As a mother of a XXXX XXXX XXXX, I recently had to make some changes in my life to attend to his needs, which incorporated taking a new position with a XXXX XXXX XXXX. So, during this time frame, I fell back on some mortgage payments. I can now afford to make mortgage payments, and the servicer representative were trying to force me into making double mortgage payments every month, which is simply not reasonable. I have no problem with the great interest rate on my mortgage, which is at 3.75 %. My normal payment is approximately {$2500.00} monthly. AmeriHome demanded a payment of close to {$5000.00} monthly, and that is abusive and not applicable to my overall financial situation.
A mortgage collection is considered by recent federal cases before the U. S. Supreme Court as a debt collection, and therefore come under the jurisdiction of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). The amended FDCPA of XXXX XXXX, 2010 has directed that while a mortgage is in a modification process, that all foreclosure actions cease.
Even though I have arrears in my mortgage, I will now make payments of {$3000.00} to {$3500.00} monthly, and I request a modification package to be emailed directly to me or sent to the law firm I have on this matter. The first thing I want accomplished with this complaint of abusive collection practices is a cease and desist of calls from the collection division of AmeriHome Mortgage, and a case worker assigned to me on a modification process. I will submit all paperwork to complete the modification process as quickly as possible. I am requesting that all arrears be place on the back end of my mortgage with a monthly reason able payment plan that will bring the account to a positive position in the shortest time frame. The matter must be resolved in a modification process.
My home also has substantial equity and there is a good chance that PMI can be removed from my mortgage. This will make my home mortgage even more affordable. Accordingly, I request this to be part of my modification process.

Complaint: I have a mortgage with XXXX Mortgage. In XXXX XXXX XXXX, I initially applied for a loan modification. I have faithfully submitted the required paystubs, bank statements, tax returns and documentation requested by XXXX since my initial submission. However, XXXX has continuously informed me that my application was complete and then sent me letters stating that documentation such as paystubs and bank statements had expired and that I would have to re-start my modification all over again.
I believe that XXXX has purposefully kept my request for loss mitigation assistance in abeyance through duplicative and redundant requests for documents which they have already received. This appears to be a pattern and it may not be an isolated incident.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, my County taxes were paid {$1700.00}, but the due date was XXXX XXXX. There is a separate transaction on XXXX XXXX for " city, utility disbursement '' for {$130.00}, which is the 10 % penalty for being 5 months late.
On XXXX XXXX, My two township taxes of {$850.00} and {$23.00} were paid, but the due date was XXXX XXXX. There is two separate transactions on XXXX XXXX for " city, utility disbursement '' for {$100.00} and {$2.00} for the two 10 % penalties for it being 6 months late.
On XXXX XXXX, my school taxes that were due XXXX XXXX, were paid {$3600.00}. There is a separate transaction for 10 % penalty under " city, utility disbursement '' for {$440.00} for taxes being 3 months late.
Totaling {$690.00} in penalties.
We purchased this house in XXXX of XXXX and had an escrow account set up with our mortgage from day 1. We do not receive any tax information until we receive a receipt that it is paid or we have received a final notice saying there will be a lien placed on our house if the taxes remain unpaid. Our tax information gets sent directly to the mortgage company, which is the point of having an escrow. The mortgage company is paid to take care of paying all the taxes ON TIME. I was told this is my fault for all the taxes being paid late, but other than making my mortgage/escrow payments ON TIME I should have nothing to do with it. This has been an on going saga for over a month and is still yet to be properly resolved.
I have filed multiple complaints within the company and the company supposedly " looked into it '', but they keep responding with they have paid my taxes on time which is not true. On their website through my account, you can see that the taxes were not paid on time as well as logging on to my county website to see they were late as well.

Complaint: I was affected by hurricane XXXX and the bank AmeriHome Mortgage Company , LLC said it could take 3 months without making payments and they would not charge a later fee.
I did have been trying to pay them but their online system says I am not eligible to make a payment and it will not allow me to pay. It 's been like this for 3 months now.
I have to call them on the phone now and make they payment, the charge me XXXX dollars each time.
They charged me XXXX dollar for my last payment but they never took the money out of my account, I called them last week to ask about why they have not taken the money from my account, and they said on their system it shows that I 've paid.
Now, I just got a foreclosure letter in the mail.
I't seem they are purposely trying to foreclose by purposely not accepting my payment and making supper difficult to make payments.
I even mailed them a check that they deposited then send me a check from them back and says I still owe money I already send them and charged me late fees.

Complaint: I have been attempting to modify my mortgage with AmeriHome Mortgage Company for over a month now. The denial reason the company provided was unclear title. When discussing this reason with AmeriHome customer service representatives ; including several in their Loss Mitigation Dept, I was informed that a {$1000.00} debt is owed to the City of XXXX from years prior to me purchasing or taking possession of the home. It was determined by AmeriHome representatives and by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that the debt belongs to the previous home owner ; however, AmeriHome still will not modify my mortgage. I even sent AmeriHome information from the XXXX County Recorder of Deeds that shows there are no liens on the property. Ive called the company at least a dozen times to request the modification and even emailed them. All I am ever told is that someone will call me back ; which never happens.

Complaint: I have already complained about this company. Amerihome mortgage. They did resolve one of the payments that they had lost the fund for, but still not the other payment. We have been trying to stay in touch with this company, but have been locked out of our online account since XXXX XXXX, and every time we try to talk to someone we get hung up on. Today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX my husband called twice to once again ask for a full accounting with the debits and credits, but once again were unable to talk to anyone, just got hung up again. The thing is, we did not ask for this company, they bought our mortgage from the previous provider, whom we were happy with. Why are company 's allowed to get away with this? This is my families home, my children 's home. Please help!

Complaint: I made two partial payments to my mortgage company using my bill pay with my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX checking ) on XXXX XXXX and the other on XXXX XXXX. I began getting notification that I had not made my payment and upon contacting XXXX Mortgage XXXX my mortgage company ) I was informed that the amount sent in on XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$940.00} had been sent back as NSF, I found this odd because I was under the impression when using bill pay the funds are sent directly from the bank to the merchant, so how could they be returned as NSF. Regardless, I contacted my bank and they did an investigation which came back as the XXXX Mortgage had accepted both transactions I made. I have made countless phone calls and have been told half a dozen stories about where the money is and my status for my XXXX payment. They are no longer answering my calls when I contact them or I end up in their hold system for hours. I 'm unsure how to move forwards with this and am very afraid to send another payment to them at this point. I have both trace numbers for these transactions and have forwarded them to XXXX in hopes that they will rectify their error. I do n't know how this is effecting my credit score and now that it 's XXXX my XXXX payment is officially due.
