Written notification about debt

Debt collection: I do not know

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: As of XX/XX/2019 my XXXX credit report shows that there was a collections add to my credit report on XX/XX/2019 by AmerAssist AR Solutions. This inaccurate collections has dropped my XXXX credit score by 78 points. I was not notified of this collections debt until I viewed it on my credit report XX/XX/2019. AmerAssist AR Solutions has inaccurately reported to XXXX credit bureau and presumably other credit bureau 's that I owe {$3600.00} in debt as of XX/XX/2019. AmerAssist AR Solutions needs to supply the information below so that I can be fully informed : What is the exact type of debt you believe I owe : Why you think I owe the debt and to whom I owe it, including : The name and address of the creditor to whom the debt is currently owed, the account number used by that creditor, and the amount owed. If this debt started with a different creditor, provide the name and address of the original creditor, the account number used by that creditor, and the amount owed to that creditor at the time it was transferred. When you identify the original creditor, please provide any other name by which I might know them, if that is different from the official name. In addition, tell me when the current creditor obtained the debt and who the current creditor obtained it from. Provide verification and documentation that there is a valid basis for claiming that I am required to pay the debt to the current creditor. For example, can you provide a copy of the written agreement that created my original requirement to pay? If you are asking that I pay a debt that somebody else is or was required to pay, identify that person. Provide verification and documentation about why this is a debt that I am required to pay. The amount and age of the debt, including : A copy of the last billing statement sent to me by the original creditor. State the amount of the debt when you obtained it, and when that was.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I submitted a dispute against a debt collections agency named Amerassist AR Solutions, the debt in question was called, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, with an account balance of {$2500.00}. I made the dispute because I believed there were errors on the report on the collections account. On XX/XX/2019 a couple of weeks later, I received an email alert from XXXX, a credit reporting app that updates daily & informs consumers when a credit report changes. This email alert indicated that the Amerassist AR Solutions Collections Account was removed & that the {$2500.00} had fallen off of my credit report. With the collections account falling off of my credit report, my credit score increased by " 40 '' points. I wanted to be assured that this in fact was the case, so I used two more credit reporting apps to verify the collections account, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had fallen off of my credit report, those credit apps were XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. All three credit apps indicated that indeed my Collections account did fall off On XX/XX/2019 & that there were no errors found. Five days after my collections account was successfully disputed and removed, On XX/XX/2019 the collections agency Amerassist AR Solutions fraudulently added a hard inquiry to my credit report stating in the inquiry report that a lender had requested a copy of my credit report for an installment loan. The inquiry went even further and stated that every time that I would apply for credit, a hard inquiry would be placed on my credit report and it may stay on my report for 25 months. The very next day after I saw this fraudulent Hard Inquiry added onto my Credit Report, I quickly called XXXX On XX/XX/2019 to question why was an installment loan being processed under my credit report by the very same collections agency that I had recently had a collections account deleted from. XXXX, The representative of XXXX informed me that it did look like fraudulent activity could be taking place through the Amerassist AR Solutions Collections Agency. XXXX informed me that I should call my local law enforcement to file a report for fraud by the Collections Agency which I have not done yet. XXXX also highly recommended me to add a fraud alert onto my XXXX Credit Report so that all lenders would have to call me before any financial transactions would be completed. I added a personal statement on my XXXX Credit Report asking all financial lenders to call my cell phone number and verify my identity before extending any credit. XXXX also highly recommended me to call the collections agency Amerassist AR Solutions to find out why was this fraudulent Hard Inquiry placed on my Credit Report & furthermore find out if someone was actually trying to open an Installment loan using my social security number at the Collections Agency. Well, as soon as I got off the phone with XXXX, I immediately called Amerassist AR Solutions, A representative by the name of " XXXX XXXX '' as he claimed on the phone answered the call and informed me that he had never saw a hard inquiry of that manner in which was displayed on my Credit Report ever being sent to a consumer. XXXX XXXX XXXX then explained that it could have been a mistake or a problem with the IT department. XXXX XXXX then asked me if I could send him a copy of the email alert or the alert from XXXX so he could send the copy to his IT department. XXXX XXXX indicated that he would call me back once he could confirm the issue. Im still awaiting that call today. I have not heard from him since, although the same very day I made the phone call to him, the fraudulent Hard Inquiry fell off of my credit report. I have received no emails or calls of apology from the Collections Agency. The very worst part of this whole ordeal, the very next morning, On XX/XX/2019, I received an email alert indicating that my old collections account that was successfully disputed and removed was now back on my Credit Report. The new email alert indicated that my Credit Score had been hit again by this same old collection account and has brought my credit score back down " 40 '' points. I really do believe that Amerassist AR Solutions used this very deceptive tactic of adding a Fraudulent Hard Inquiry to my Credit Report in order to gain more information from me to try to be able to collect on this very old collection account. I don't know anyone who would just let a fraudulent account stay on their Credit Report especially if it could harm the consumer for more than two years. Im sure Amerassist AR Solutions knew this and used this deceptive tactic to their benefit. I will again be disputing this collections account on the merits of all the harassment and deceptive tactics that this company has been making me endure. The harm has been taking a toll on my Credit Health and has caused me to add an extra layer of security on my XXXX Credit Report. I do have a copy of all the phone transcripts should I need to submit them as evidence in the future. Should any further action be pursued by Amerassist AR Solutions against me, they will give me no further option but to pursue legal action against them in a court of law. The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) both work in tandem to protect all consumers from negligent and deceptive behaviors that can cause lasting damage to a consumers Credit Report and individual liberties.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: I had an account with XXXX XXXX. After the account was cancelled, the company did not take their garbage cans. I called one time and spoke to a rep that informed me that I had a balance of ~ {$10.00}. I paid the amount and never heard from XXXX XXXX again. Months later I started receiving letters from collection agencies. When I received the first letter that stated I owed {$110.00}, I called XXXX XXXX. They said I owed for keeping their cans. I scheduled their can pick up for XX/XX/XXXX. I have a letter sent to the XXXX from XXXX XXXX stating that they removed the {$110.00} from my account on XX/XX/XXXX and notified the collection agency. Problem is that in XX/XX/XXXX, I am still receiving regular letters from AmerAssist and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I have sent notification to both that I have zero owed to XXXX XXXX, but the letters keep coming. It bothers me that XXXX XXXX did not contact me to retrieve their cans before sending this to collections and starting this never ending letter sending campaign. I'm sensing that AmerAssist is a sister company to XXXX XXXX and that this feels fraudulent in practice instead of negligent because I have communicated in writing that I don't owe XXXX XXXX.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Medical debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: I was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX by a female representative with Amerassist at ( XXXX ) XXXX. She said I owed a debt of approximately {$3000.00} to their company. I had not received any medical bills close to this amount, but had an issue with a bill from this same company being bounced around between XXXX XXXX XXXX and my insurance company in XXXX. I was contacted by the company in XXXX and it was paid in full. I explained that I had a paid in full letter and did not owe them anything. She became very hostile with me. I explained that I worked for a bank and told her how she was treating me was against the law. She then said " Now, I know where you work! '' I perceived that to be very threatening, although I did not disclose the name of the bank I work for. When I asked her for her name, she refused to give it to me and said she was ending the call. She hung up on me. Later on XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX XXXX ( same company as XXXX XXXX XXXX -- the parent company is XXXX ) to complain to them about how I had been treated by the collection agency that works for them and to inquire if I had any outstanding accounts open. My daughter has severe XXXX and has her XXXX XXXX lengthened once every 6 months. The person I spoke to over the phone could not find any open accounts under my name, but referred me to XXXX XXXX, who directly handled their relationship with Amerassist. XXXX called me on XX/XX/XXXX. She went through their records and found an account from XXXX that I owed {$150.00}. She found that I hadn't received a bill because my address changed ( my name did as well, which is why the 1st representative didn't find this account initially ). I took care of the balance immediately over the telephone. She assured my that all of my cases were closed and that Amerassist would not contact me again. However, Amerassist did call me again on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX are the only times Amerassist left a voice message. After the XX/XX/XXXX voice message, I reached back out to XXXX to let her know I had been contacted by the collection agency again. After the voice message today ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I called Amerassist directly. I was transferred to " XXXX ''. When XXXX answered the phone, I recognized her voice as the person who treated me abusively on XX/XX/XXXX. When I told her that I spoke directly with XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX and was assured I owed Amerassist no money, she told me she wasn't going to argue with me and said she was ending the call. I called back and requested to speak to a supervisor. XXXX XXXX is the who I spoke with next. He said that he looked into my file and that XXXX had taken my number out of their system and I would not be contacted again. XXXX called me back today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and informed me that XXXX XXXX XXXX had notified Amerassist twice that all of my accounts had been paid in full and to call her back if I am contacted again. I was contacted by 2 different telephone numbers -- ( XXXX XXXX XXXX and ( XXXX ) XXXX. As I stated before, my daughter has significant medical needs and I work very hard to make sure all of her bills are paid in a timely manner. This one physician group has an extremely slow billing process because they go back to my insurance company so many times with follow up claims. This has been very frustrating and I want Amerassist to stop harassing me when I don't have any open collection accounts. Thank you for your help with this troubling matter.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Federal student loan debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: AMERASSIST AR SOLUTIONS, collecting on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I attended The XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2013 and received federal student loans for my tuition. Amerassist AR Solutions is attempting to collect {$5000.00} and has reported this on my credit report. This is a fraudulent collection action and an attempt to collect money that I am already paying back to the government as they are the ones who lent me the money to attend the school. Amerassist is merely attempting to collect free money from me and will not remove the account from my credit report. This has made it very difficult for me to get any type of credit due to the balance owed and the age of the student loan.
