Complaint: - I had applied for a Credit card through American Express due to the lucrative offer of obtaining a bonus of XXXX points after spending {$5000.00} - I applied on XX/XX/2019 and achieved the goal of spending the {$5000.00} around mid-may - The welcome bonus did not show up in my account at any point so I opened a chat with American Express to find out why this was - They informed me they had denied the bonus due to being ineligible.
- I asked them why and they would not provide a specific reason as to why.
- I was at no point ever informed that I was ineligible for the bonus and the application proceeded to approval without any communication that I would not receive the welcome offer.
- I was told that the account had been reviewed after approval and at that point, the welcome offer was removed from the application. I was also told that it was not required that I would be informed of this.
- Under the impression of being elgible, I met the spend and proceeded as normal.
It is to my impression that this should be considered fraud as I submitted my application under the influence that I would receive the welcome bonus given I met the terms of the agreement. I was also told that regardless of not being informed that I am still being denied the bonus. I never would have proceeded with the application if I had known I was inelgible for the bonus.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: We received an offer from AMEX. 0 % balance transfer and {$0.00} balance transfer fee. There is no disclosure whatsoever that they limit you to a XXXX balance transfer. We have read the disclosures in full and they have agreed there is no disclosure. We were approved for a XXXX line of credit and intended to transfer XXXX. We would have never applied for this card if we knew that. Now we have an inquiry on our credit and we have disclosed all of our personal information to them. We tried to resolve this with AMEX. We asked that they make an exception and transfer the XXXX. We also asked that they remove the inquiry on our credit report. Of which, they refused to help us with anything. We talked to 4 different people with no solution. All we were told was we can't do anything for you. We told them we were going to file a complaint and trying to resolve this with them and all they said was file a complaint. Done.

Complaint: I called XXXX XXXX on XXXX XX/XX/2019 at XXXX hrs and spoke with XXXX. I attempted to make a settlement with payments for {$4000.00}. XXXX explained that I could not do that and he needed full payment immediately. I explained that I could not afford to pay the amount in full but I could make payments of {$100.00} per month and make settlement arrangements in XX/XX/XXXXwhen I received my military sign on bonus. He said he could not accept this arrangement. I asked for the payment address so I could begin mailing in payments. He said that I could not mail in the payments. I asked again and he said that he could give me the address but they would only accept payment in full. I asked again for the payment address and he refused to give me the address.

Complaint: CEOs of the American Express card company refused to close all accounts that links to my name and Social Security Numbers since year XX/XX/2011. I can prove it, please see attached. For the last 8-9 years, my sibblings and their friends ILLEGALLY use my Social Security numbers to commit Credit Card Frauds especially American Express cards and Mail Thefts. They refused to pay the bills and insisted on saying the Credit Cards are not under their name.
I found out from the court house that American Express card company did tried to sue me however I did NOT receive any subpoenas because my sibblings and their friends committed Mail Thefts and Mail Frauds. I do NOT know who impostered me that day in court. But the case was Dismissed without prejudice. And from what I heard from my sibblings, an ILLEGAL deal was made to put me in debts that don't belong to me and to put my Elderly parents in debts as well. CEOs of the American Express card company " created, printed out and IILEGALLY distribute physical American Express Credit Cards in suspicious NUMEROUS AMOUNTS for specific companies to pay for their daily breakfast, dinners in XXXX XXXX, CA.
My parents and I do NOT qualify to have any American Express card applications to be approved for the last 5 years. I have attached proofs that my application was declined. My Elderly XXXX year old father who has XXXX XXXX and XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX and already moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a single room with his wife has Identity Theft problems for 22-23 years without knowing and did NOT know his credit score do NOT qualify to have any Credit Cards especially American Express card application to be approved. Personally these CEOs needs to be investigated for such BULLYING and BELITTLEMENTS for the last 8 years. They ruined our lives!!!!!

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I reached out to American Express for a second time do to payment issues and was forced a second time to call my bank on three-way with them. The representative from American Express placed me on hold to call my bank, and then proceeded to use my social security number and other personal identification to log in to my bank account through my banks automated system without my permission. The representative should not have used my information to access my account without my permission, instead they should of three-wayed me in to allow me to enter that information. I am frustrated and concerned because I have to go through this process every single time I make a payment indefinitely and I am concerned that American Express employees are going to continue to access my banking information with my personal information without my permission. I asked to speak to the manager, who said she agreed with my concern then proceeded to brush me off. I would like to know what American Express is going to do to protect my identifying information going forward, since they insist I call every time I make a payment.

Complaint: I had a payment due on Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX. This payment was made on time. With my traveling and my records, I paid the statement date on time as well - but American Express has their records as having it been received on XXXX at XXXX. My records show a debit on XXXX - which would not have been made with a payment that day. In American Express 's records and in my records, we are dealing with a discrepancy of 16-20 hours, or one day. The interest charge is XXXX. I am asking for it to be waived as a one time courtesy. I pay thousands of dollars in annual fees - and there appear to be some error. Front line support agrees but can only credit {$200.00} - they are refusing to waive the rest of it. If there's an error - and we're already agreeing to waive {$200.00} of the {$320.00} - why can we not credit the rest of it? I've asked for escalation, and chat supervisors are refusing to do it - saying they can't with their policies - so I am submitting this complaint hoping the right person reads it and can fix the issue appropriately. I am appreciative and thankful for your consideration.

Complaint: I have an American Express Platinum credit card and so am a Priority Pass Select member as part of AMEX Platinum credit card benefits. I should have full access to Priority Pass lounges in airport globally per AMEX Platinum card benefits terms and conditions. However, when my family and myself flew from XXXX to XXXX on XX/XX/2019, we were trying to enter Priority Pass Select lounge - XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Airport . However, our access was declined by the lounge staff very rudely. Although I showed them my Priority Pass card as well as the proof that this lounge is in Priority Pass network, our access was still declined without any legitimate reason. They simply said that American Express Platinum credit card and Priority Pass Select card members can not access this lounge.
Finally, we couldn't use this lounge at all, but instead we had to pay {$50.00} in airport restaurant to have breakfast for myself, my spouse and and my kid. Extremely disappointed with such horrible experience as an AMEX platinum card and Priority Pass Select card member.
I request American Express to reimburse me {$50.00} for what we paid in Airport restaurant, because our airport lounge access was incorrectly declined by Priority Pass XXXX Airport Lounge staff.

Complaint: I received an unsolicited offer from American Express Company ( " Amex '' ) to apply for a new Gold Delta SkyMiles credit card ( Delta card ). The terms of the offer provided that 60,000 Bonus Miles were to be earned after making {$2000.00} in purchases on the new Card within the first 3 months, and a {$50.00} statement credit after making a Delta purchase with the new Card within first 3 months. The offer was valid until XX/XX/2019.
I submitted an on-line application for this Delta card, which was promptly approved given my excellent credit rating and an impeccable payment history with Amex for the last several decades. I was notified of the approval by a letter dated XX/XX/2019 from Amex ( copy attached ) on the basis that I applied.
As I timely fulfilled all the requirements for the Bonus Miles and the {$50.00} statement credit, I contacted Amex on XX/XX/19, about the status of reflecting these miles and the credit on my account. I was advised that the advertised bonus offer was not being honored by AMEX in spite of my having met all the offer requirements, but that the matter would be investigated further ( case # XXXX ). In a subsequent chat with an Amex representative on XX/XX/2019 ( reference # XXXX ), I was informed that I was ineligible for this promotion even though I was never previously so notified or advised. The stated reason for this decision, notwithstanding the fact that the new credit card was already approved, was the reported existence of my other Amex credit cards, which limitation was never previously disclosed to me.
This is a classic example of a bait-and-switch perpetrated by Amex.

Problem adding money
Complaint: I was using my Bluebird account as a savings account for a house.
The last 3-4 months I had some financial difficulties and hand to withdrawl funds to take care of daily expenses, bills, car issues such as a XXXX transaxle that went you on my XXXX, money for a tow, and diagnostics.
The American Express stopped my loading abilities and closed my account. I always maintained a balance of 7-10k until just recently. I borrowed from myself, and I was planning on getting my balance back up.
I called customer service 2xs after a failed load at a XXXX.
They said they couldnt do anything about it. I spoke to 2 managers and was on the phone 3 hours. I explained everything, and they confirmed that I always maintained a high balance.
This is not right.

Complaint: I have applied for a new credit card with American express through their mobile phone application officer. Amex has been cheating customers by decreasing the credit line on the older cards when they apply for newer cards without the customer 's consent. I have been reading this online and just shocked to see they can play as they want. I know how smartly they can get away from the cheating they do by saying Amex has the right to do so. That is the reason I have explicitly asked the agent during the application would the credit line on older one decreased and he confirmed with a clear NO, can trace the voice recording and figure it out.
I have tried to reach out to customer care service after I have received the card and he mentioned there is a manual request to decrease the credit line on my account, which is very unethical and I think it is illegal as well as they said something and doing something else. I have been trying to contact their customer service and they keep on making excuses and transferring to other departments and no one knows how to solve it correctly.
I really want an explanation with concrete evidence of what went through the case and why they are lying to the customers and how do they get away with it.

Complaint: I just received notice on XX/XX/2019 from American Express that they are dropping my credit limit, even though I have made payments on time to them because they looked on my FICO report, without my permission, and saw that my FICO score dropped because I missed one payment to another company. This reduction also reduces my FICO score. I can not get in touch with American Express because I just received the notice today XX/XX/2019. I think there are three issues. One, they used my FICO score without my permission and two they dropped my credit limit below the credit limit which I have had, and three they did it and it increases the rate on the credit card because I am over the limit now. American Express unlawfully peeked at my report, and dropping the credit limit from {$13000.00}, to {$8500.00} which decreases my credit score, and also increases the APR. I can not make payment with an increased APR.
