Complaint: Bluebird American Express. Closed my account without even letting me know. My entire paycheck is in there {$850.00} and they will not give me access to my money that I worked for. They said they closed the account and the only way to get my money back is to mail them and then wait 7-10 business days to get my money, but I need that money to live off of and it is not there money to hold on too.

Complaint: I had a charge-off with american express for approximately {$16000.00}. I settled this debt and agreed to pay {$4000.00} to settle it in full. I proceeded to make the payment. American Express has now only credited my account {$4000.00} and has not reported it as settled with the credit bureau. They are now reporting that i still owe {$12000.00}!!!! I have uploaded the settlement agreement that was faxed to me along with their receipt of payment. It took them a couple days of send me the confirmation of payment received. My payment was processed on the day the settlement paper agreed to.

Complaint: RE : American Express on XX/XX/XXXX for {$3000.00} ; XXXX XXXX XXXX I have tried to resolve this credit transaction with the appropriate credit card company. My attempts to get the matter directed to the appropriate Customer Service or Legal Affairs Department have been ignored. I have supplied all appropriate documentation showing that XXXX XXXX was a Fraudulent XXXX Marketing Scam. To date the credit card company has not communicated with me other than a canned response letter referring me back to the collection agency. Nor will they send my request to a higher department dealing with Fraudulent Merchant transactions. The information below is a full and complete summary of the entire XXXX XXXX Scam of which the above complaint deals with only one of the six individual transactions which comprise the entire sum of XXXX XXXX purchases. FTC CASE : XXXX I was introduced to XXXX XXXX and their XXXX marketing and coaching program, when I attended a free introductory seminar at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. As a result of attending their introductory seminar, the following training courses and lifetime coaching was purchased as detailed below. The XXXX XXXX XXXX charged at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. American Express on XX/XX/XXXX for {$3000.00}. During the ensuing months of XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, the training diminished significantly and their business coaching program was non-existent. Rather than a training program on how to establish, operate, or improve my business model commensurate of a business coaching program ; it instead morphed into a sales pitch for purchasing additional XXXX XXXX products, and services. Whenever they were requested to provide a syllabus or an outline of the next lesson plan, they were unable to give me one. This made me question their viability and business ethics. Upon researching my concerns regarding XXXX XXXX, I discovered the credit card companies considered XXXX XXXX, XXXX to be a high-risk merchant and conversely withheld approximately 30 % of my payments in reserve in case of fraud. It was then I discovered the FTC filed legal action against XXXX XXXX, XXXX and communication between XXXX XXXX, XXXX became non-existent. Upon reading FTC legal documents which state that the parties involved were required to turn over the names of all customers so the FTC or its agents could notify them. This included all customers using merchant service accounts. I never received notification of any type. In attempting to recover funds paid to XXXX XXXX, XXXX for lifetime coaching and training, I contacted all the above financial institutions via registered mail and have supplied them with information regarding the fraud, FTC legal actions, and court documents, but to date there are no reversal or chargebacks of any fraudulent charges. In fact, these financial institutions do not want to communicate with me as a victim of fraud. Some have referred my accounts to collection agencies which can not clear my credit file nor reverse these charges as they claim only the primary financial institutions can reverse charges or correct credit file information detailing fraud.

Complaint: I opened an AMEX Delta Skymiles card in mid XX/XX/XXXX, in response to a 60k Delta bonus miles offer ( XXXX for {$2000.00} in purchases within the first 3 months of membership ). I made a XXXX-XXXX purchase of exactly {$2000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, meeting the offer requirements. On contacting customer service the first week of XXXX, I was told that an investigation would have to be opened into why the charge was not registering on their end. I checked again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told the investigation was resolved and i would get my bonus miles 8-12 weeks after the charge date ( XX/XX/XXXX ). It is XX/XX/XXXX today ( more than 12 weeks ) and on contacting customer service, was told another investigation would have to be opened into why i haven't received my miles and that could take 6-8 weeks. AMEX is not fulfilling on its advertised offer and the long wait times are affecting my travel plans. Customer service is clueless and can only offer an endless loop of investigations that apparently take months to complete. Very disappointed!

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX defaulted on my American Expresss Charge Card with a balance for {$24000.00} due to unforeseen family circumstance. I Contacted American Express to work out agreement before default to turn the account into a revolving credit card due to my other account with them and excellent payment history. If approved I would have been able to pay card the off without any default in a timely manner. They rejected the proposal so in turn creating a default. There was a special feature on the account that was at the time called Pay Over Time which allowed some balance to be carried forward. I was able to pay the account completely off however American Express placed on my credit report with the three Credit Bureau 's XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX Paid Charge Off in turn lowering my credit report by thirty points and stays on the report until XX/XX/XXXX. I would accept this whole process due to the fact we had an agrement on the terms of this credit card. However on XX/XX/XXXX American Express sent me a check for {$2700.00} apologizing for incorrectly charging interest on the Pay Over Time feature on the account. So I imediately reached out to American Express to let them know that this is not a simple step to reiumburse the interest, they also have to remove the deragotory reporting from the credit bureau 's because technical how can there be a default if you don't know whats owed and being over billed. Currently there has not been a resolve to the removal at the time of writing this complaint.

Complaint: I receive numerous calls from a couple of different numbers claiming to be collecting for American Express. The " representative '' ( XXXX XXXX ), with a heavy XXXX accent, left a voicemail message. The message claims that they are trying to collect on an old account with a balance of {$5100.00} and that they can settle the account for {$2800.00}. Once I did not answer or return the initial calls then the " representative '' proceeded to call me back to back from one number 5 times ( within a two minute period ). Then the " representative '' proceeded to call me from yet another number ( It sounded like a cell number while riding in a car or on a train ... I could hear the wind in the background ). On this message she, the same woman, left a totally different name XXXX XXXX XXXX, but she had the same heavy XXXX accent. She then proceeded to call me back to back from this cell phone 9 different times ( within a 6 minute time frame ). This is really becoming disruptive and a true headache. Please HELP!!!!

Complaint: I signed up for Amex everyday credit card after following an online promotion of {$150.00} cashback as statement credit after spending {$1000.00} in first three months. It was way back on 2016. I followed the criteria and still I didnt get any statement credit. I followed up with customer service via phone and chat. They told me that i did not clicked the link for the cash back after spending {$1000.00} in 3 months but i clicked a different link for cash back after spending {$2000.00} in 3 months. I clearly remembered that I signed up based on the first criteria because i know my spending habits. There was no reason for me to sign up for a credit card at that time other than their catchy but false promotional promise. Anyways they gave me a complaint number and never called me back to resolve the issue. I felt so much cheated that I stopped using amex. I was new at this country at that time with limited English speaking ability. Also I didnt know any other places to look for resolve. Now I know my rights and want to file a complaint against this giant company. They can deny and they might choose to not give me my cash back but i want to let them know that you lost a customer and I would tell my friends and family never to sign up for amex again. I am super happy with my XXXX and XXXX credit cards.

Complaint: We were given a {$200.00} American Express gift card with the receipt by a charitable organization. Several months later, we lost the card but still had the receipt. After many calls with American Express, they said they would suspend the lost card and send a replacement if we sent a copy of the receipt along with a letter with various details, including a copy of my drivers license and a utility bill. After sending all this information ( via email on XX/XX/2019 and XX/XX/2019, reference numbers XXXX and XXXX ), American Express did not issue a replacement card. They said they needed to get in contact with the the original purchaser of the gift card. I have no idea if they even tried to contact the original purchaser ( who was unknown to us ). So American Express is not issuing a replacement card to us, and isn't refunding the money to the original purchaser either. It seems they are just going to keep the money for themselves by hiding behind a Kafkaesque process with moving goal posts.

And why do I apply for a card, the website prompts that the reward is XXXX points, and the others are XXXX points? Is this discrimination against me? I received unfair treatment, and they canceled my reward. I tried to communicate with them, but they didn't want to help me solve the problem
