Complaint: Hello, I am writing for your assistance in resolving an issue with American Express. I own two Delta-branded products from American Express ; the Delta Gold and Delta Platinum cards. Year-to-date, I have charged {$31000.00} on the Gold Card, and {$28000.00} on the Platinum card. My issue is having American Express credit mileage to my Delta Skymiles account.
From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I spent over {$25000.00} on my Gold Card. This resulted in Delta waiving the MQD ( medallion qualifying dollar ) requirement toward my elite status with Delta. In XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for and was approved for the Platinum Card.
As part of a promotion, I received XXXX bonus miles and XXXX MQMs ( medallion qualifying miles ) when I spent more than {$4000.00} on the card in the first four months. I reached this threshold in XX/XX/XXXX, and the bonus miles and MQMs were credited to my Skymiles account.
According the cardholder agreement, I am supposed to receive an additional XXXX bonus miles and XXXX MQMs when I spend at least {$25000.00} on the Platinum card during the calendar year. I have reached the spending threshold but have not received the bonus miles or MQMs. ( To clarify, I have spent at least {$25000.00} on each of the cards this year, for a total of {$59000.00}. ) I confirmed with American Express the end of XX/XX/XXXX that I am eligible for the additional bonus miles and MQMs based on my Platinum card spending, but they have failed to credit my Skymiles account. Multiple calls to American Express and Delta have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue.
Customer service reps seem confused by the fact I have already received XXXX MQMs this year ( in XX/XX/XXXX ), but that was a result of a separate promotion based on card spending in the first four months. I am absolutely eligible for the XXXX MQM bonus as a result of spending {$25000.00} during the calendar year. The language in the cardholders agreement is clear and unambiguous. I am frustrated by American Express failing to honor the terms and conditions of the cardholders agreement.

Complaint: In XXXX 2017, a credit card was fraudulently applied for under my name. American express took my existing credit line from my blue American Express card, and partially transferred over to the fraud account. I contacted American Express, which they immediately closed out the fraudulent card but never returned back my credit line to my existing account. I have called American Express over 10 times, and have been on the phone for over 9 hours, without a resolution. No one knows which department can help and I have been given false promises.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX It was the fifth time I tried to solve american express XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX problem and got denied. Currently American express owned me more than XXXX points. ( Base+Bonus ) There is an enquiry opening but there is no result. XXXX can not follow their policy give me the points that I spent and use on the card. XXXX only eager taking the year fee without giving me services.
The last time supervisor I talk to XXXX at XXXX XXXX central time. Still they only give me trouble without help me. Not even able to give me the base points ahead.
I got a answer only to wait, any potential solution has been denied.It is shame to pay around {$100.00} member fee for nearly nothing.

Complaint: I own several personal and business cards from American Express. Generally, I am quite satisfied with the level of service and professionalism that the bank provides and we share a mutually beneficial relationship. I spend a lot of money annually between all of my cards and for that I am awarded a mix of cash back, and reward points. Our relationship spans many years.
This complaint is regarding my reward points. Sometime in XXXX of this year, I tried using some of my points and was unable to do so. It seems that American Express had placed my account under review and during that period the rewards are inaccessible. I was not notified in writing or otherwise, prior to this review being done. I was not warned. As far back as I can remember I have always been notified of any changes done to my account. This would be the first time that this was not done.
I have called in quite a few times regarding this, and each time I am told something else. A request to have this concern escalated and resolved was placed, with a promise of a call back or response within 5 business day, but I never heard back.
Most agents do not seem to understand what is going on, and no one can provide me with an explanation. As of today, it seems that my account is still under review.
The most that one agent was able to advise me was that the review is due to some minor refunds I made on my business card. I do n't understand how that may be related to this issue. Another agent advised me that it may take 6-8 weeks from the initial date to hear back, while another told me it could take up to 10-12 weeks. Each agent advised me of a different start date as well so that the completion date varied. I was also told I would receive a call or letter, but none has been received to date.
I requested to speak with the individual or department handling my account so that this matter could be resolved once and for all. No one was able to provide me with a contact number or name, and there was n't an option to be transferred to them by the agent answering my call.

Complaint: XX.XX.17 Several days ago I decided, for general security reasons, to change all of my User Names and Passwords for my credit card accounts. This morning I began systematically opening my online accounts to make sure that these changes had been properly processed and to make sure that these changes had not caused my " Pay From '' account information to be disrupted. When I went to my card 's Account Management page, I saw that the " last four '' of the two bank accounts I 'd linked to this site were in place. However, I was shocked to see that the full name of the bank in which these accounts are held was in full sight ( in capital letters, no less ) of anyone who might gain fraudulent access to this information. So now all a crook would need is the bank 's routing number ( universal for all 250 branches ) and the other 6 numbers of my account to drain my balance. Despite the fact that credit card issuers such as XXXX, XXXX & XXXX DO NOT PUBLISH YOUR BANK 'S NAME ONLINE, apparently XXXX is unable to figure out how to forego INFLICTING THIS ABSURD, TOTALLY UNNECESSARY, HIGH RISK PRACTICE ON THEIR CUSTOMERS! CONSUMERS BEWARE! CHECK YOUR XXXX ACCT ONLINE! XXXX IS NOT SECURE!!!

Complaint: American Express has not been transparent or truthful in providing accurate interest across Promotional balances. I 've asked for evidence of this throughout the course of the timeline of the account being open. Instead of providing a balance sheet with interest calculated per charge, they just claim that putting just the Interest that I owe on the statement is enough to go off of. This is very concerning, because it 's easy for human beings to stand by something that a computer is clearly displaying. American Express representatives do not see how calculations of interest are being accumulated. They just see what I see on my statement, which is just a total interest amount.
I 'm not convinced that the interest they claim is being calculated is always 100 % accurate, according to how Credit Card laws specify what is proper procedure for calculating interest. Many representatives just claim that American Express has been in business for many years, so why would they charge incorrect interest. I 'd like to point out the various lawsuits that have happened where American Express was ruled to have been doing just this. I guarantee they 'll " skim '' through this and reply with just their " formulas ''. What they should be providing is full disclosure of each charge and what interest amount became accumulated as a result of that charge. This helps me understand how I can compare my calculations to theirs to see where the disconnect is. I refuse to pay for profitable interest on their behalf either calculated intentionally or unintentionally that is INCORRECT.

Complaint: I did not live at the address or even the city of the house that they attempted to serve me at. In fact, there were squatters in the house. American Express sued me, and I did not know about it, and they got a judgment. However, I had filed bankruptcy in XXXX, XXXX in XXXX and American Express is listed. American Express put a lien on me/my property.
There are two things seriously wrong with this.
Above all, since this account was included in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy discharge, this is not legal. They have to remove the lien and wite it off. I am writing to you to enforce this. Thank you.

Complaint: I have an american express card that I made a payment to the wrong account ( there is only one number different between the last 5 digits of my account versus my husbands account ). There was a large credit to his account, we never recieved a call or notification despite them having all information about all accounts, my account was reported as late, and this went on for several months before I was sent their internal collections, XXXX. Since signing on with XXXX, XXXX continued to report my account as late even though every payment through them was made on time and even additional payments were made. Once I realized that the ongoing negative reporting had continued I spoke with XXXX, eventually got through to a supervisor of their Credit Bureau Unit who agreed that this was very messed up and felt that this was handled poorly and recommended that I speak to the Care Team and file a complaint and request a re-aging of the account. She transferred me and the representative took my name and number, told me that the Supervisor of that department would call me back and I never recieved a call.
The following week, I again made several phone calls and began filing a complaint with the Inquiry Center whose representative, XXXX, was very helpful, agreed to file the complaint and reverse the credit to my husbands account and submit for a re-aging of my account and we were disconnected. I called back, was transferred 7 times, was assurred that I could not be connected with the exact representative, was transferred 4 more times and then told they could not talk to me because my account was in collections.
My husband called and was finally able to speak to a customer service representative who stated that he saw all of the notes in the records, would complete the reversal of the credit from his account to my account, reverse all of the late reporting and that given my husbands permission to discuss this with me, that he would call me back within 10 minutes to confirm the agreed upon action. We again, have never recieved a call back.

Problem with customer service
Complaint: I received a new American Express card. I needed to contact customer service. The customer service phone number is printed in 2.22pt. type. I measured it. Additionally, the first 3 digits are obscured by elements of graphic design. Also, the contrast is very low. I had to dial the number by trial and error. When I explained to the representative I could not read the phone number because of these conditions she suggested I get someone to help me. This would place me in a dependent position, creating a XXXX where there is none. My vision is within normal limits.
I asked to speak with a supervisor. I asked what accomodations they have in place for people who could not read the number. She said there are none.
I believe this places American Express out of compliance with the ADA. In addition, the consumer is placed in a position of vulnerability financially by requiring the assistance of a helper with financial management where no bonafide need exists for such help.

Complaint: I have had this card for almost 1 year now ( well beyond the 8 - 12 weeks timeframe past the initial 3 months bonus timeframe ), so any promotional bonus spending reviews should have been done and finished.
But my membership account is still frozen and under review, as I can not transfer the points as advertised.
Please make it so I can use my membership rewards points immidiately - at almost the one year mark of my having the card, the review for any promotional bonus offers should be done and complete.
