Complaint: My first letter to American Express was on XX/XX/2018 I requested them to investigate the hard inquiry on my credit report because I believe I did not authorize this company to run my report. I received a letter from American Express on XX/XX/2018 stating they are unable to comply with my request. I sent a second letter to them on XX/XX/2018 stating under the Fair Credit Reporting Act they have to mail me a copy of my signed authorization form that gave them the right to view my credit, so that could verify or not verify it being my signature. If they can provide me with this information under the Fair Credit Reporting Act they must delete it off my credit report. I received a letter from America Express on XX/XX/2018 stating once again that they can not comply with my request. I do not feel like this company even looked into my request by the mirrored letters they sent me.

Complaint: My card was used at a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX without my permission on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a text message saying my account went below {$25.00} so I log on to my account and saw 2 transaction and called AmEx Serve right away and had the card cancelled stating fraud. I was told to call back or go online to dispute the transaction once they processed, I did on on monday XX/XX/XXXX when they cleared. I was send a declaration of Fraud letter on XX/XX/XXXX which I filled out and emailed back to serve on XX/XX/XXXX. I have called 3 times to check on it and each time was told I would get a letter once it was decided. on XX/XX/XXXX I received a decision saying Based upon their investigation we have determined that no error occured and the transactions in question were authorized. Therefore the transactions is not eligible for credit to your account. I have called twice to talk to someone at AmEx serve but they tell me the decision was made. and I repeat I did not give authorization for someone to use my card and I had the card and was at home not XXXX TX. I even gave them a idea of what could have happen at XXXX XXXX XXXX which I made a purchase earlier that day.

Complaint: the company name XXXX XXXX XXXX calling themselves the debt collector for my Amex accounts calls me 3 times a day in my cell number, my girlfriends number and my work place number. I requested them not to call as i am having financial hardship and national debt relief is working on my behalf to help me debt free. but the person named XXXX won't listen. I told him i can not pay {$8700.00} and something they are asking all at once. he is just forcing me that its a one time deal and you dont get to pay this again. i told him the calls are disturbing me, its harassing me and making me depressed but he wont listen. the company and person named XXXX calls me 3 times a day in 3 phone numbers which is 9 times everyday for straight 7 days. I would like to request them to stop harassment as i am already facing hardship and can barely manage to pay monthly to my debt relief program i am enrolled in. If the harassment wont stop, i will like to file a lawsuit against the company for depression, anxiety and threat.

Complaint: American Express has received all Law Enforcement Documentation providing proof of Identity Theft. The credit bureaus have removed this account from their Credit files which they verified as Identity theft. In XX/XX/2013 my wallet was stolen, Inside my wallet was my Drivers License, Social Security card and even my address. After it was stolen I attempted to recover my wallet but was not successful. I notified the XXXX Police Department and the credit bureaus, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. After receiving my credit reports I noticed an American Express account. I immediately called American Express to report the crime, the customer service agent had advised me this account was cancelled. I said I did not authorize this. He then transfers me to the fraud department whom states they will conduct an investigation. Once again after they verify the information it is proven to them the address they have on file I haven't ever lived at. I never lived at XXXX XXXX XXXX as they show in their system. I advised them of this information which they documented, I sent my FTC Affidavit to them, and also advised them the Bank Account used to make payments on the account was not mine either. This bank account was actually closed out as Identity Theft as well. So then the other day, I try to open my First American Express account. They open the account then a day later close the account, They try and advise me this is due to disputes. I asked what Disputes since i haven't even used the account yet. They stated they were trying to link the old fraudulent account to me still. They transferred me to fraud after I ALREADY advised them I had no relation to this account and that I thought American Express resolved this along time ago which they have not. So now they have also put an unauthorized inquiry on my credit bureau file with XXXX because they choose to connect fraud to me. I want this account revoked from their system. I have never lived at the address that was on file for any cards with you. I did not provide authorization for any accounts to be open. You did not cancel a card on me because I haven't ever had one. You were notified of Identity Theft along time ago and just refuse to resolve it. Per the FCRA Law and requirements once you are notified of Fraud you have 3 days to block it or I can pursue legal action against American Express. Your fraud department never calls back and they don't actually review the information I have provided.

Complaint: Im having a big problem with American Express platinum card. I made a purchase on paying it off I was in the hospital and theyre giving me a hard time and the cut off to my credit cards. I told him Ive been in the hospital on my deathbed and this is the way they treat their customers. Im off have a balance of reward and I cant use it towards my purchases. Theyre a bunch of con artists. The sad thing is they approve me for the American Express XXXX are activated it today and they blocked my card. They can not do that. I want whats the title to me I cant help that I was in the hospital. And the in-laws pick me up today because they put me through XXXX and I ended up having another XXXX. They are not responsible for mine condition. i will be giving them my hospital bill ffrom today.

Complaint: I signed up for a 0 % offer for a period of time ( i believe it was 12 or 15 months ). I transferred over almost {$4000.00}. AmEx got me in at a promotional APR with a much higher APR once the period was up. Standard, right? I get it, but what bothers me is that I was never notified that that promotional period was close to coming to an end and being that I signed up for the offer over a year ago, it slipped my mind. Once I saw the interest pop up, I made the full payment ( {$3400.00} ), and I called in to ask for a an interest waiver since it was only the difference of a few days less than my full cycle that it took me to make the full payment. AmEx claims to pride itself in customer service, but they wouldnt do a fee waiver and they didn't notify me that my promotion was coming to an end outside of the initial agreement that I signed over a year ago. I think that reflects poor customer service. I wanted it to be known that I transact over $ XXXX/month on my credit cards. For a company like AmEx, with probably the highest interchange in the industry ( hence why many vendors don't accept their payments ), that's easily over $ XXXX/month for them if I used them for my purchases. Now I am forced to opine over a {$73.00} interest payment for a period when I made my full payment. Geez, the customer service at AmEx is getting bad ; what is the world coming to!?! I hope others in my same situation don't experience this!

Complaint: I'm a victim of identity theft. Even though I did not have any credit card from American Express, someone apparently used my ID information, opened a AmEx credit card in XX/XX/2017, and made purchases for about {$8600.00} using the card. I made several phone calls to the American Express office informing that the debt was from an identity theft. I reported the ID theft crime to ( i ) Police Department ; ( ii ) FBI ; and ( iii ) FTC. I sent all of the reports ( police report, FBI report and FTC ID Theft report ) to American Express to show them that I was a victim of identity theft and asked them to close the unauthorized credit card account under my name and remove any charges on the account. However, American Express said they are unable to accept my claim since I RECEIVED AND USED THE CARD ISSUED IN MY NAME although I never received the card and never used it. I requested all of the information provided to American Express at the time of the credit card application. American Express provided the information to me. Among the information, the person used a XXXX XXXX address and additional card member 's social security number and birthday which does not belong to me. Although I appealed American Express that those information is not mine, they are still not willing to accept my claim. Rather, they recently hired a collection agency to try to collect the debt that I have been disputing with them.
