Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I received a special sales promotion paper to purchase a car at wholesale prices..I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX ... through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX in XXXX , Michigan ... ... one of my friends went with me and we were at the used car lot for 5 hrs on that Friday evening. Several false answers were given to us by our used car salesman that said the XXXX dealer across the street had nothing to do with this sale, also that my friend would not be a co-signer ... .my last question to him about the car purchase was, I am XXXX yrs older than my friend and if something happens to me they wo n't come after my friend for the money for the car, because he ca n't afford that ... I was told, " do n't worry, you have equity in your car.. My friend started getting all the mail regarding my car deal..approximately XXXX denial letters came with his name on them from various credit unions ... also the proof of auto insurance only had his name on it ... that is when a red flag went up in my mind that something was very wrong with the deal. I can not be put on my friends car insurance as a driver as I do not live in his household ... on the title we are both the car owners with him being # 1 the owner and me # 2 the co-signer ... he can not afford the car and I can not afford the price of the car insurance put in my name ... my friends car insurance agent told us there is no such thing as having " equity in my car '' I asked the right questions, but we were both lied to ... .if we give the car back, we both will have a repossession on our records ... .I am currently awaiting a call from Ally Bank to notify them of how this deal went down and can they help us in this current situation ... ... thanks for your attention ... ..

Complaint: I applied for a 18 mo. CD at Ally Bank for {$75000.00}. They withdrew that amount twice with authorization for only one. It resulted in insufficient funds charge on the checking account from which it was withdrawn. They refused to interrupt the transfer and I was charged {$34.00} by my bank for the ISF. I received confirmation of only XXXX transfer but they still contend I made XXXX requests. The branch manager at my checking account bank called Ally while I was in the office and they agreed to return the second {$75000.00}. They will not pay the cost of doing so. I told them I wanted the whole transaction cancelled and they will charge me 60 days interest or approximately {$150.00} for the 2 days it was funded. I have been a customer for several years with Ally, but wo n't continue to be if I can find a way to remove my accounts from them without severe penalty.

Complaint: Ally bank, I Leased a vehicle and paid all payments in time. They had XXXX as deposit. I returned the vehicle to a dealer in time of lease, with miles used much less than allowed on lease. Called Ally many times to return deposit. Answer was " wait till final statement ''. Vehicle was sent for inspection by different company, and Ally had 4 inspections. The cost started with XXXX and ballooned. Finally Ally demanded XXXX, after keeping the deposit. Car had minor wear and tear, which was supposed to be free repair per Ally booklet.
Called them many times, spoke with agent and disputed charges. But the kept on sending threatening letters and sent to Ally asset recovery Center. NO help. Many similar reports on Internet about this ripoff

Complaint: I received a letter addressed from Ally financial services regarding an " inquiry '' based on information Ally Financial provided to credit reporting agencies. The letter also provides me with an account number and vehicle information for a XXXX Honda Accord including the VIN number.
I have not purchased a car since XXXX and when I called Ally Financial information and attempted to get information from a representative named " XXXX, '' he acted very cagey on the phone with me and did not provide me any information. When I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor, someone then came on the line and I could not hear anything but static during the whole conversation.
I am saking the CFPB to investigate this situation and please provide me with complete details regarding 1 ) to whom Ally Financial provided information ; 2 ) what type of information was provided ; 3 ) what inquiry are they claiming was made by me or someone on my behalf that resulted in any release of information ; 4 ) copy of car payment history in my name as referenced in the letter from Ally Financial 5 ) all information pertaining to how Ally Financial has my name and address on record in association with a XXXX Honda Accord with VIN # XXXX.

Complaint: This is the letter that I sent to ALLY Auto which describes the issue I sent in a Duty Change form to have my payments taken out of my account on the XXXX for each month. However, the form has not reached the Auto Department as or yet. This form was mailed 2weeks ago. In addition I was late paying my XXXX payment which was supposed to come out of my account on the XXXX instead of the XXXX. I was charged a late fee and paid the amount on the XXXX of the month a week later a payment was charged to my account even though I made the payment already which caused me to be charged a insufficient amount from my bank. I am requesting that this issue be looked into because my payment for XXXX is scheduled for XXXX/XXXX/16 even though I requested the XXXX of each month and I would like for a refund of the {$30.00} that I was charged from my bank due to your mistake. Ally representative informed me that my balance was {$0.00}. That day, I purchased a new lease through Ally 's sister company, XXXX XXXX, at same dealership. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I am the primary signer on a new XX/XX/XXXX vehicle purchased at same dealership, with top-bid approval incentives for financing through Ally Financial.

Complaint: I purchased a vehicle on XXXX XXXX and got it financed through ALLY FINANCIAL with a monthly payment of {$230.00}. I was making all my payments to ally financial on time and from time to time I was paying XXXX or XXXX XXXX dollars extra. unfortunately on XXXX XXXX I was not in USA and was in my country on a family emergency and since I was paying extra every month I assumed I can pay {$180.00} and still be fine with my monthly payments and would not be late on my account. next thing I know I get an alert from my credit report agency that I have a 30 days late on my car payment. immediately I called up ALLY FINANCIAL and spoke to a supervisor and told him exactly what I just described and he promised me as a courtesy he is going to remove the 30 days late charge. Obviously they did not remove the 30 days late. since then I have been in contact with ALLY FINACIAL and had requested to send to me a copy of all the payment that I had made to them and how it was applied and also requested to send me when they had sent me a note to states they are going to report me to credit bureaus for a late pay.

Complaint: In XXXX of 2007, my name appeared second on a finance contract with ALLY FINANCIAL to allow my former wife to purchase a vehicle under the XXXX Program. After she made several late payments, ALLY FINANCIAL sold the vehicle for a profit and refunded some of the money to her. Despite that I made none of the late payments nor received any of the proceeds, ALLY FINANCIAL refuses to delete this account from my various credit files.

Complaint: I have a vehice loan with Ally financial I 've been harassed every since they financed my vehicle. I recently received a call from Ally stating they had a repossession order out for my vehicle XXXX Chrysler 300. My payments are current but the repossession is for late charges. I have n't been receiving monthly statements for my account nor have I received any type of correspondence stating that there is a repo order out for my vehicle.
