Complaint: I am currently pursuing Public Service Loan Forgiveness. I have a subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loan, which were initially applied for and I make my payments together as one payment. I submitted the PSLF Employment Certification form recently. My issues are as follows : 1 ) When I received updated information about my qualifying payments, I believe FedLoans has made some errors in calculating the number of qualifying payments I have made. When I spoke with FedLoans customer service representative XXXX # XXXX, she stated that I was not credited for some months that I should have received credit for. For example, one loan sequence states I have made 77 qualifying payments, while the other states 86. 2 ) The number of qualifying payments should be equal. Without transparency on how they made these determinations, I do not have confidence that 86 payments is even correct. 3 ) From XX/XX/XXXX until present ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I was placed into Post REPAYE Alternative Plan for not completing my Employment Certification form. The new amount I have paid per month is greater than what I would be required to pay under a standard 10 year payment plan at the time I started repayment. Should these payments count towards PSLF? Since I have completed the Employment Certification form and have been with the same employer during the period of payment plan changes, can these payments be retroactively applied towards PSLF since, this amount is equal or greater than I would be paying on a qualifying income driven plan? ( This may not be within your powers, but if borrower A and B have the same loan amount and work at the same place of employment, and pay the same amount but one is on an IDR and another on a different plan, why does the type of repayment plan determine why one borrower makes progress towards eligibility for PSLF? ) This issue is unrelated but frustrating as a borrower. My inbox with correspondence from FedLoans only retains letters less than 1-2 years old. Why is this?

Complaint: FedLoan servicing is my current loan provider. I am participating in the public service loan forgiveness program and consolidated my student loans in XX/XX/2013. I have made payments every month, but due to interest accruing, my loans eventually split into multiple sequences ( 3 at the moment ). When the split occurred, the number of qualifying payments differed dramatically, despite making the same payment every month. I have been back and forth with this company for the past few years and everytime, I get told the same thing ... the case is under review and being recalculated. " There is nothing you can do but wait. '' I have spoken to multiple supervisors with no success. They all agree with me but nothing gets done about it. Last year, they did readjust my number of qualifying payments, but the numbers still differ. Sequence 1 ( direct subsidized -- XXXX ) has 65 qualifying payments, Sequence 2 ( direct unsubsidized -- XXXX ) has 59 payments and sequence 3 ( direct unsubsidized -- XXXX ) has 59 payments. All of my qualifying payments should match. I feel like i've called a million times and always get the same response. I also recently applied for the pay as you earn program which would give a lower monthly payment, but there has been a delay in processing on their end. I tried calling multiple times, but nothing has been done. Late payments have been accumulating because of this, which will not count towards my qualifying payments. Please help. Everytime I contact this company, I get nowhere.

I submitted a letter then was told by another representative that XXXX doesnt not work with people to lower payments. They want to charge me XXXX per month for my student loans of XXXX. The amount they want to charge me inhibit my ability to pay off other debt too. I am also a single mother-divorced and left to pay all divorce debt. Need them to work with me on more reasonable payments ... even reducing by XXXX or XXXX would help. XXXX lowered my payments from XXXX a month to XXXX a month.

Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX veteran due to service connection. I can not get relief from AES for my private student loans, not only that but I had to lose credit for the entire semester of school because I enlisted in XXXX XXXX for the XXXX and did not get a refund from the school in the spring of XXXX due to my ship out date being before the end of school. They call me countless times and the stress from those calls is extremely burdensome and makes my XXXX worse every day. My federal loans through them were relieved ( XXXX ) years after my XXXX and XXXX XXXX became effective ( XXXX ) because I was not notified that I was eligible to do that. The calls every day, multiple times, and calling my parents who I do not live with that were co-signers over a decade ago all affect my mental health negatively. Its repeated multiple times a day and then they call the co-signers causing them to call and harass me because they threaten them with credit reporting. AMERICAN EDUCATION SERVICES does not care that I was XXXX due to my military service, they just want to harass me to pay them daily. Its bad enough that I lost freedom and the ability to live active due to my service but this company calls daily and threatens and harassed me affecting my XXXX. They dont care about US service members.

Complaint: I filed a CFPB complaint earlier this year because Fed Loan Servicing changed my payment plan doubling my monthly payment when I had not requested a change. This dispute was resolved, but I recently found out that Fed Loan Servicing has taken away loan forgiveness credit for several payment that I made while employed as a public school teacher. I made three payments of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX which was almost double what I should have been paying due to their mistakes, but I was not given credit for Public Service Loan Forgiveness because Fed Loan retroactively and fraudulently changed the dates and amounts of the payments that I made. They also denied credit for other payments due to their " cooking of the books '' for lack of a better phrase. The payments reflected on their website in my account do not match the payments that they received from me through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account details will be attached ). I want my public service loan credit. My account was not in any type of forbearance when I made these payments as their employee XXXX ( # XXXX ) says. Please look into this matter. Thank you!
