Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I made a {$3000.00} payment to a mortgage loan to pay just to the principal of the mortgage loan. As of today, XX/XX/2019 the payment to the principal has not posted. This was made to US Bank in XXXX Wisconsin. I have called several time directly to the bank and continue to be told this will take several days. I then called the corporate office and was told the same thing. I am paying interest daily on the mortgage. Years back the money was posted to the account that day or the next day. This is the tech age and should not take this long. Please help. I did call the phone number for banking complaints and was told I need to submit online so here you are. The {$3000.00} is a high amount of money for me and need some assistance.

Complaint: I'm a victim of the XXXX wire transfer scam. The amount I lost through US Bank was XXXX Euro.. Dates of the transfer : XX/XX/2019, amount : XXXX Euro XX/XX/2019, amount : XXXX Euro and XX/XX/2019, amount : XXXX Euro US Bank did the wire transfer without checking the credibility of the other bank which locate in XXXX, XXXX.
When I found out the transfer was a scam, I recalled my wire and US Bank manager said I can't recall the wire because it's been wired.
I went to US Bank directly to file this case and yet have no response from US Bank?

Complaint: On XX/XX/19 I was involved as a victim with a gift card scam. I was told by scammers I was under a federal govt warrant for my arrest for social security identity fraud and the distribution of XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Tx. This set the stage for the fraud perpetrated against me. {$7000.00} worth of gift cards were bought by me at XXXX XXXX and XXXX because they told me at the time they were federal agents and my social security number would be canceled. These gift cards were then to be taken to the SSN office the next day so I could have money during their investigation. US Bank credit card was used by me to get these gift cards. US Bank denied offering credit since it was a fraud and I had authorized the charges. I disagree strongly with this assumption stating I felt ad if I had a XXXX to my head as I was being kidnapped for almost 5 hours and I went to store ATMs to get the cash they wanted. My attorney gave me this option to see if US Bank would reconsider and offer the credit. I am a retired businessman who has been with US Bank for over 14 years. A police statement was given and a call to US Bank were made the night of this tragic and very stressful night. Please help!! Thank you.

Complaint: For 6 weeks I have been trying to receive funds provided by the insurance company to repair my home from damage incurred by Hurricane Florence. Per US Bank 's protocol for fund release, I requested an inspection. The first inspector did not show at the scheduled time but, instead, broke into my home the following day and submitted an inspection of less than 50 % complete. Outraged at the break-in, I ordered another inspection only to have another inspector break into my home 3 hours prior to our scheduled inspection and submit an inspection of less than 50 %. Extremely outraged, I request a different inspection company be provided. The new inspection company arrived on time and determined the home to be 50 % completed. US Bank is now saying that they will not honor the third inspection and will not release the funding associated with 50 % completion. To date I have received around 40k of the insurance money to fix my home. I have been forced to pay another XXXX of my personal funds to keep the contractor working on my home while US Bank refuses to release any of the remaining XXXX of the insurance money despite receiving the documentation required of 50 % completion.

Complaint: Back in XXXX, I opened a checking and credit account as a business partnership with another individual. Shortly after opening the accounts I decided to end to the partnership.
I had gone in and closed the business accounts. Both accounts had XXXX balance. They did end up closing the checking account at that time, but I was still getting emails and mail about the central credit account associated with the account. I ended up going to the bank about four separate times to see why I was still getting mail and to confirm that they closed it. I finally stopped getting mail in regards to the account, so I was under the impression they had finally fixed the problem. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX and I get a call that the account was over due with a balance of over {$20000.00}. I then went in and and they said the account was still open and closed it and that the partner associated on the account under his card had racked up a bill and had used it to pay for his wedding. The account was at XXXX balance for over 4 years and suddenly they have these charges on there. They basically just told me to pound sand and there was nothing they could do to get this out of my name. I contacted accountant, lawyer and police and was told that i could have him arrested over it but my best option was to just let it be if he kept on payment. He had up until recently so now it is in collections under my name even though the card that was charged is under his name. US bank failed in their fiduciary duty and has created a great deal of emotional stress for me and my family over this as well as hurt my credit. They also allowed this account to go from {$7000.00} credit line when it was originally opened to over {$17000.00}. They also will not give me exact dates or specifics that I have been asking for. I am at loss for words on how they could let this happen.

Complaint: In XXXX our credit card was stolen. We canceled the card with US Bank Visa. Card was then reissued. Bill for card did not show up until I called the company and asked where our bill was. I thought with the missing card and the re-issue everything got delayed. They said they had sent the bill out already and I said we never received it. They had sent the bill to our former address that we had not lived at for about 4 years. They corrected the mistake and sent me a new bill to our current address. We paid the bill and never gave it a thought again until this year when we added a new car to our insurance plan. My agent said our rate was increased because of a reduction in our credit score. My insurance company said the problem originated with our credit card company. I contacted the credit card company several times and they were no help and said we can't do anything about it. I then went XXXX XXXX and filed a complaint and they did nothing except send me a report showing my one missed bill with the credit card company that I already knew because they had messed up on the bill. So I have had to pay higher insurance rates as a result. I have never been late in paying my bills and the XXXX XXXX report verifies that fact. I'm very upset at the the system and I have cut up my credit card with US bank. I need our help to correct this injustice. Thanks you XXXX XXXX

Complaint: I am writing to report fraudulent use of a {$200.00} prepaid MasterCard card I purchased in fall XXXX. It was issued by U.S. Bank. I took the card out of the original packaging on XX/XX/XXXX and went to use it for the first time at XXXX XXXX, but was only able to use {$4.00} of the {$200.00} value. When I got home and looked online at XXXX, I could see that it had been fraudulently registered online to someone in California, who {$190.00} charged last XX/XX/XXXX to a merchant I do not recognize.
I called the customer service number on the packaging on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that they had notes on their system from last fall indicating suspicion of a fraudulent registration due to an unusual phone call at that time. They said that I would need to FAX them a copy of my drivers license, the front and back of the card, and the purchase receipt in order to move forward with resolving the issue. I explained that I no longer had the receipt, and they told me to send in what I had. However, they could make no assurances that this would be sufficient to have my stolen funds restored, provide a case number or direct contact number or email for those at their institution who would be dealing with this issue, or give me a general timeline for resolution of the issue.
I will FAX them the driver license and card image as they requested, but because they can provide no assurances that this will restore my funds I am also filing this complaint. As directed on your site, I am not providing my name or the card number here.

Complaint: This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that US BANK has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to mis-report. Moreover, I was never 60 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask your confirmation of the aforesaid item too. My proper request must be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct. Thanks!

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: XX/XX/19 I applied for a business credit card. I was declined, when I called in to ask why, I was told that they do not accept applicants that do not currently do banking business with them. They do not advertise this in the application process. We never had a chance of being approved, yet they allowed us to proceed with the application and take a hard hit on our credit report.
