Complaint: I have recently received a bill from MBA Law Firm located in XXXX, Texas. The bill claims I owe {$5600.00} to a current creditor called XXXX XXXX. It also states the previous creditor was XXXX XXXX. I spoke with a female, " XXXX '', who claims she is a debt collector with the above stated law firm. She advised me that I owe the above stated amount due to lab costs approved by my doctor. I spoke with my doctor and his business manager who both told me that it was a scam and I did not owe anything. This " Law Firm '' claims the date of service of the bill was XX/XX/2018 but I have never been contacted, or so much as received one bill from them. So they waited 1 year and 6 months to send this letter and are only allowing me 30 days to resolve it or they would report it to credit reporting agencies. " XXXX '' couldn't give me any specific information about the bill and gave me a bogus number to call. She claimed the number was a patient advocacy line but I cant get anyone to answer. I am a hardworking citizen who has worked years to build my credit to where it is. I don't even have ONE late payment on my record. This bogus bill for {$5600.00} would truly devastate my family.
