Complaint: I already have a complaint on file with TD bank for another issue .... Case number : XXXXNow after doing a 'bait & switch ' to counter-offer for a higher interest rateafter they said the appraisal was too low ... .we ask for another appraisaland we practically find the comps ourselves ... ..it comes in XXXX higherbut we are still denied despite our XXXX + credit scores and low debt thatbecause we live in a XXXX and older community or age-stricted that we are denied. This after XXXX weeks of back/forth and at least XXXX letters of conditional approval. First it appears to be age discrimination, second why would n't that be on their applicationprocess before wasting our time and theirs. Something smells fishy.

Complaint: I had an overdraft fee of {$100.00} just about for TDBank. I go to open an account at XXXX Bank and I am denied due to the fact the back closed the account which I knew but hadno idea that it would go to a collection agency. Then I had paid it off and went to open the account because I was told that TDBAnk was only holding my account through their Credit systems and it would be clear. Well I went the next day to open my account and still could not. I need this account for my new job and it is very important. How can I fix this problem as soon as possible?

Complaint: At the end of XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for a refinance of my home with TD Bank. When I applied, I had an existing XXXX mortgage and an existing HELOC with TD. The refinance was for cash out, debt consolidation. When I received the loan decision from XXXX, I noticed that the terms I had applied for were changed. I was not notified that the terms I had requested changed - they simply changed. ( My application was to keep & subordinate the current XXXX - their approval changed it so that the XXXX was to be paid in full ). When I contacted them that I did n't think they could change a mortgage applicaiton w/out notifying me, without any indication, they immediately changed it back even though the comment was that I did n't qualify. I closed the loan as submitted. XXXX months ago my circumstances changed. I had a loss in income, I had an increase in other monthly obligations and when I contacted a realtor I found that my house was n't worth near what the appraised value at time of refi was. I contacted TD Bank in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX before I was due or delinquent with XXXX and applied for assistance, for a modification of the terms of the P & I payments for both XXXX and XXXX ( which will soon be both principal and interest that I can not afford ). After weeks of calling with no return phone calls, TD did state that they would roll the late fees into the mtg amount but they would not modifiy the P & I payments. They said I make too much, that the housing is 32 % of my gross income. I told them that if they looked at my residucal income, after I pay the mortgage, I would not have enough to provide myself and my family basic human living requirements - heat, electricity, grocers, a car to get back and forth to work, etc.

Complaint: Contacted at my place of employment, by TD Bank collections department after numerouse ( and documented ) requests to contact me on my cell and not my employer. Background : In XXXX of 2015, prior to the XXXX XXXX mortgage payments due, I contacted TD Bank requesting asssistance on my mortgages ( both XXXX & XXXX ). I have all the emails and have recorded all phone calls ( after disclosing I was recording ) in which it is clear I directed TD to call my cell. On XXXX/XXXX/15 I received an email, from a co-worker saying that an XXXX XXXX from TD was calling different departments at my employers trying to reach me. When I returned the call, TD told me that they had no other contact information for me. Again, I can support with emails and recorded phone calls, my contact information of my cell phone. I again asked TD not to contact me at my place of employment.

Complaint: I am writing you to lodge a formal complaint to TD Bank regarding the sudden, unjustified closure of my TD Cash Rewards credit card account. When I opened the TD Cash Rewards XXXX credit card account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, there was a promotion attached to my account for " Earn 5 % cash rewards statement credit on eligible purchases with your TD Cash Rewards XXXX card. Eligible purchases include dining, groceries, gas and cable, phone and utility bill payments for the first XXXX months after account opening ''. Everything was fine for the first XXXX months. However, in the XXXX month, all grocery store purchases I made between XXXX only earned me 1 % cash rewards. I called TD bank to inquire about the missing rewards on XX/XX/XXXX and without any notice in advance my credit card account got cancelled on XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: In XXXX, 2014, my TD Bank business account was compromised and more than {$1000.00} was stolen. This is the sole business account for a small business my husband and I run together, which we use to support our young kids. I discovered the fraud in XXXX, because we were moving houses when it happened. I did my banking with the XXXX. XXXX, NY branch of TD Bank. When I informed them of the fraud, they put me through the wringer with multiple lengthy phone calls and long meetings at the bank, then reimbursed me for the XXXX fraudulent transactions. The representative at the bank was new and not familiar with the protocol, and the managers decided that she should learn by feeling her way through this problem, which was not fair to her or to me. I combed through my bank accounts, looking for other instances of fraud, with no help from TD Bank. They could not provide even the most basic information about transactions, leaving me to do my own forensic accounting for hours. I discovered more instances of fraud, but the manager told me that I would not be reimbursed for anything over 90 days old. I asked for better fraud protection, such as a text alert for any transactions over a certain dollar amount. The representative told me they did not provide that and would not be doing it in the future. They repeatedly said " It 's your responsibility to review your statements. " TD Bank is making it harder for consumers to detect and prevent fraud, then they are refusing to reimburse for older transactions. Making this difficult for the consumer is beneficial for them financially. They are making money off of their unsecure banking. I would like to be reimbursed for the {$400.00} charge I found that is more than 90 days old, and I would like to be reimbursed for the XXXX overdraft fee that was caused by the fraud. Equally important, I 'd like TD Bank to change their policies : 1 ) Fraud is fraud, no matter when it happened, and 2 ) they need to make it easier for customers to monitor their accounts by allowing customers to set up text alerts.
