I got a check from Credit Union ( XXXX XXXX ), I called TD Auto Finance back on Friday XXXX XXXX 2015 to get the proper address for express mailing Auto pay off. I mailed the check and preceded to call back on Friday XXXX to see when the title is going to be released, I was informed that my regular monthly payment is past due, I said how is that when I just paid off my loan. The agent put me on hold and then came back to the phone and said the check will be returned, because it was not signed but it was signed and it was made out to TD auto finance and my husband with my account number on the check. I asked the lady why did n't any one call me or let me know? She could n't answer me, I was in shock what if I had not called? The agent was very rude she hung the phone up on me. I called back on Wednesday XXXX XXXX and the same thing your account is past due, I said I sent a check to payoff my account and you said its gon na be sent back for signature. I was told that the check is now going to be sent to my credit union and If I do n't make my payment by XXXX XXXX I will accrue more interest. Since the XXXX of XXXX I have been trying to settle this matter. I want them to find the check and close my account for the amount first quoted to me. And I will never ever purchase another XXXX vehicle from them again. My husband and I have been loyal customers for years but this was the last straw. This was the XXXX time we have been burned by this company.

Complaint: Target customer services misrepresented the amount that I owed on my Target credit card. This resulted in a late payment with fees and interest. I paid the entire balance less the fees. Target continued to bill me late fees in addition to more late fees. After further attempts to resolve issue I wrote a memo informing Target that this issue is in dispute and the original late payment was a result of misinformation provided by Target employees. Target has apparently reported this to credit agencies. Your help would be appreciated.

Complaint: I made a bill payment using TD Bank 's Online Banking bill payment feature for the first time. The bill was to be paid on XXXX XXXX, 2015 and the payee was a XXXX Credit Card. The day after the bill was to be paid, the payment was shown as 'paid ' in the Bill Pay XXXX Bill History screen but does not show as having been 'paid ' in Account XXXX Account History screen nor does it even show as being a 'pending ' transaction '. I called TD Bank customer service and was told by the agent that despite the bill being shown as 'paid ' on the bill payment screen, the bill would only be deducted from my checking account when TD 's credit card department had 'cashed ' the paper check that TD, the Bank had sent to them. They could not tell me when that would occur but that I should " keep in mind '' not to spend the money or the account might go into an overdraft situation. What kind of trickery is this? Showing a bill as 'paid ' and yet not debiting the account until some future, indeterminate time? How many TD customers must believe they have paid bills using TD Bank 's online bill pay system only to discover that they had not? If I were very cynical, this process seems another way to deceive customers into overdrawing their accounts, thereby allowing the bank to charge overdraft fees. Citibank, the other bank with which I pay bills, deducts the account at the moment the check is drawn or the electronic transfer is made. There is never any confusion there.

Complaint: I am delinquent on my mortgage payments with TD Bank. I have applied for a loan modification which was approved. My loan payments were in the vincinity of XXXX per month and the modification bought it down to XXXX. I was very happy knowing that I was in the process of a divorce, severely limited in my finances and knew that the new payment would allow me to keep up to date on the mortgage. NO WHERE in the papers that were notarized and signed was a mention of any other amount other than the {$910.00}. I showed the papers to my divorce attorney, my close friends ... .everyone said that they only can see that TD Bank has approved XXXX. I sent the paperwork and waited for the check to clear for about a week. No check and no message from TD so I called and spoke to the person named on the form, XXXX XXXX. She told me that - no, my check was n't received, nor were the papers that were notarized and furthermore, my XXXX check was n't enough. My payment was actually higher - I do n't remember the exact amount but it was approximately {$1400.00}. When I complained and said the paperwork states a different amount she told me that there is escrow to be paid. I told her that no one told me the amount would be more and that there is a paragraph in their paperwork that states the amount of {$910.00} would be my monthly payment for the life of the loan. Her answer to me was that the amount was reduced from the original and I should be happy with that. What XXXX XXXX does n't realize is that {$500.00} more a month is not what I can pay. I called the following day and spoke to another rep, XXXX XXXX who was not only helpful but compassionate. He saw that the check was deposited and the paperwork received - the previous week. He looked through the paperwork and said he thought it was odd that I was told XXXX but the paperwork states XXXX. He told me to wait a week and possibly the correct info would be updated in their system. I called a week later and spoke to XXXX. She told me that the did see the higher amount and that all she can offer is for me to send a letter to the escrow department asked for the money to be spread out over a certain amount of months. I told her that first of all - no one contacted me from TD to tell me about this new amount and I am hesitant to sign anything further because this is fraudulent business practice. We get lured in with XXXX amount and then the next day ... oops, wrong amount ... it 's really higher. This is ridiculous! How can this bank do this to customers who are already in a vulnerable position and TD takes advantage knowing they are uninformed and worried about losing everything they own. And then to have their employees not have the answers to give to customers. I asked XXXX if this is their practice - to not disclose the correct amount and she told me she did n't know that answer. Somebody in TD has to be made accountable for misleading consumers in this way.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2015 I was contacted by XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX that my Target Credit Card ispast due. I informed her that I had n't been receiving statements from target since XXXX. At that time, I had a death in the family, and was n't really thinking about it. A couple of months go by and I never had the opportunity to address the issue. I was also never contact by anyone at Target during this time either. So I asked XXXX, if she could reprint the last few statements, so I could review them, and remit payment. She informed me that she could n't do that. She also told me that a statement was mailed on XXXX, which at the time of this writing I never received. I asked her if it were possible that I was signed up for electronic statements. She said no. I told her that I was n't comfortable making a payment until I saw a statement. I decide to call up Target to see if they could help. I asked the agent If I was on electronic statements, she said yes, I said where are they going, she said I would have to log on to get that information, I said I 'm not even sure I have a log-in id. I said is it possible to have the last couple of statements printed out ; she said she would have to transfer me. I waited close to XXXX minutes, and had to hang up. I called a second time a few hours later, and I was waiting another XXXX minutes to speak to someone, which I had to get off the phone. Until I receive my statements, I 'm not comfortable making a payment.

Complaint: I open a student checking account for my son XXXX XXXX at a TD Bank in XXXX, XXXX XXXX so he could have money for a vacation he was taking XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. When my son went to use the debit card, he had no money on the card. XXXX days later someone cashed a check in XXXX on XXXX at a TD bank for {$600.00} with the same last name ; but the check bounced so they took the money from my son 's account. I have been trying for the last 3 weeks to get his money refunded back to him and every time I go the XXXX Branch or call the XXXX number they keep giving my son and I the run around. This is clearly a mistake that they made, but they keep saying they are still investigating. My son is only XXXX years of age so there would be no reason why he would be in XXXX and even so he was in XXXX at the time the check was cashed. My son had to end his vacation early because he had no money to spend. I worked for the police department in XXXX so I filed a fraud complaint with the police department and a policeman went to the XXXX Branch to find out why they had n't refunded the money while they was doing the investigation and they said they were still investigating. He told the bank that did n't make sense because it clearly shows that the my son was using his debit account in XXXX when the {$600.00} transaction when through. The policeman told me that the reason why they are having a hard time finding a person on the cameras is because the check was probably cashed from someone inside the bank.

Complaint: I have sent a few messages via the secure message system on the TD Auto Finance website. I 've been paying more that minimum payment of {$200.00} since the loan commenced on XX/XX/XXXX. The TD Auto Finance website shows since I am ahead that a payment is not due until XX/XX/XXXX. However, it is showing a minimum of {$210.00}. XXXX customer representatives claimed it had to do with simple interest and that since the payments were not received at the same date, there is a fluctuation of how the interest would be applied. This makes no sense since in the absence of late fees or an outstanding balance, the default payment of {$200.00} would be applicable. I feel that because I am ahead of the contract that they are trying to get more money out of me.

Complaint: I thought under Dodd-Frank that banks had to process transactions in favor of the consumer, so deposits would be processed first then by checks and debit card transactions. I made a cash deposit on the day pending transactions were to be processed which would have overdrawn my account ; I opted out of overdraft protection. My bank, TD Bank, charged me a {$35.00} overdraft fee. Without that my account would not be overdrawn. Can they do that?

Complaint: We applied for home equity loan through TD bank. Apparently, the processor left TD before we closed on loan and now new processor took over and is basically starting from beginning. We started this process in XXXX, and yet to close. The local TD branch where we initially applied is basically not doing anything to help us close. They only answer my emails or calls. I have been in touch with the loan agent every week, several times a week. I have been promised this now will be " rushed '' but we are now XX/XX/XXXX and still no closing date. I have done many hours of paper work for this and I am beyond frustrated. I am sorry I ever started this.

Complaint: I am so frustrated right now. I only get paid XXXX and believe me, it 's not a lot. On my XXXX check I made a payment for my nephew thinking that I was okay. I forgot that I had sent out some packages through XXXX. Well I ended up going overdrawn, not by a lot. Well XXXX tried to do these small charges ( {$2.00} - {$3.00} ) several times and I did n't have enough in my account. Well they were trying every couple of days and the bank was charging me {$35.00} for every XXXX. When I checked my balance Saturday it was {$1200.00} overdrawn, I was flabbergasted. So I added up the charges and it came to {$1200.00}, so that means that I was {$8.00} overdrawn. I 've been on the phone so many times and after talking to several different people they credited me {$250.00} so they could get it under {$1000.00}. I understand that I was overdrawn and should be penalized but the charges seem a little absurd. I do n't know if you can do anything for me, but I am on Social Security and I really ca n't afford it. Complaint: I would like to file a complaint against TD Bank , NA Loss Mitigation Support. I have submitted not once but XXXX XXXX pages for an application for assistance in order to save my home from foreclosure due to my exhusband not paying after being court ordered and filing for bankrupcty relieving him of all obligations and authorizing me to modify the payments to keep my home. The first time I submitted the paperwork they sent a letter of denial to my exhusband instead of me which I would not have known about if I did not contact TD directly. I also missed the appeal deadline as well because I did not receive the notification. My exhusband signed everything over to me and TD insists they do not have his authorization when in fact I sent it both fax and regular mail certified. Because of the mistake they made my home is now up for Sheriff sale XXXX/XXXX/15. I stressed to them that they are sending any and all information to the wrong address and I was finally able to get a representative to correct the address since the rep I spoke to prior to this would not do so! I want to work with TD and start paying them what is owed and what my exhusband failed to do so I can remain in my home and not on the street! I have submitted more than enough information to them to help me in my situation. They seem to constantly lose paperwork and tell me I 'm missing information when in fact it has been submitted. The more they keep doing this, the more I am pressed for time and I am running out of options!

Complaint: I am filing a formal complaint about missing funds from my TD Bank Account. TD Bank did not post {$2000.00} from a federal refund to my checking account. However, they did post {$40.00} from a NYS tax refund. Instead of posting a refund, my account is missing funds. This is a clear violation of the Fair Billing Credit Act as well as other ethical business practices. For unknown, as well as unclear reasons, the XXXX Branch of TD Bank, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX, tampered with my account yet again in direct violation of corporate policy and US laws. It gave out my information out to third parties electronically in direct violation of company policies. Additionally, I am concerned with tampering of my checking account and savings account. TD bank also does not provide regular statements for Savings accounts. It only provides periodic documentation. It also does not take proper steps to investigate proper complaints from customers.

Complaint: My complaint is about XXXX XXXX XXXX - collection agency recently form in NY. This is a debt collection Agency who refuses to give me a physical address. Instead, all they gave me was a XXXX XXXX XXXX Their tactics have included : falsely identifying themselves as a lawyers office or a mediation firm. Additionally, they have threatened arrest and stated that someone from the Sherriff 's office would be coming by to arrest at XXXX. Additionally, they have restated back personal information to identify that they know " what car XXXX drive '', etc. Additionally, they have spoken with other members about the debt other than an immediate spouse. I have today filed a CEASE and DESIST letter with the agency. I have today spoken to the original debtor -TD Bank XXXX who apparently sold the debt to another company and who apparently sold the debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They state that they have begun to have complaints about this company and asked me to send them a copy of the Cease and Desist letter. The original debt was about {$150.00}. XXXX has asked as much as over {$1000.00} or threatened arrest. These people need to be shut down. I have contacted an attorney on a cursory level who informed me to submit a cease and desist letter.

Card purchases have been denied and I have been unable to communicate via telephone to card services regarding any activities on my account because I can not provide the passcode. On XXXX XXXX, 2015, I communicated to TD Card Services that I could not remember my passcode. During this conversation I was informed that unless I provided the passcode I could not speak to a representative about the account. Upon request I was transferred to a supervisor who provided the documentation required to request the removal of the passcode from my account. Fax to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2015, provided photo ID and two mailings with my address to confirm my identity as stated by supervisor XXXX s ) of TD Card Services. In follow-up to fax submission, I spoke with XXXX, around XXXX XXXX XXXX, who stated that she would follow up with me by calling on or before Wednesday, XXXX XXXX, 2015. I did not receive a call from XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2015, and when I contacted card services, today, I was informed by XXXX, floor supervisor that ( 1 ) systems reflects I called on XXXX/XXXX/15 and ( 2 ) proof of address was required because the system ( XXXX ) reflects that I had not received correspondences. In informed XXXX that ( 1 ) I had not contacted the card services/bank on XXXX/XXXX/15, and ( 2 ) proof of address was sent in a correspondence/fax on XXXX/XXXX/15. Additionally the matter is " forgotten passcode '' and the issue of not receiving correspondences from TD Bank is moot because one of the mailings to prove identity was from TD Bank, and not the reason for contacting the bank on XXXX/XXXX/15. I have been unable to use my credit card for over two-weeks and there are charges appearing on my account, which I can view online, that are questionable but I am unable to speak with a representative about this concern because I forgot my passcode. Card services appears to be inefficiently managed with representatives miscommunicating, either not understanding the reason for contact or mis-documenting the reason for contact in the systems. Correspondence sent via fax has not be addressed as of this date, over 48 hours after contact.
