Complaint: On XXXX I originated an external transfer from my XXXX XXXX XXXX account to my TD Bank account for {$250.00}. At no time was I advised there would be a fee for this transfer. In fact, the confirmation I received clearly stated no fee associated with transfer. Checking my XXXX account on XXXX, I noticed a misc fee of {$3.00} being charged. I contacted XXXX on XXXX they informed me this fee originated from TD Bank for transfer. I called TD Bank on XXXX and was informed that yes, there is a fee assessed. I advised fee never disclosed as required by law they either refund or I file a complaint. The customer service rep refunded me the {$3.00} to my TD Bank account. On XXXX I checked my XXXX account and noticed this time XXXX {$3.00} fees have been deducted by TD Bank . I contacted TD Bank customer service, speaking with XXXX - Customer Service Manager. I informed him what had transpired yesterday and that today TD Bank has re-assessed me the original fee, the refunded fee and an additional fee. XXXX indicated he is not going to refund the fees because there is nothing he can do. I again informed TD Bank that the assessment of the fee was not advertised and in my opinion is in violation of the law. I further informed XXXX that if I did not get the fees refunded I would be filing a formal complaint - he told me to do what I felt I had to do. I

Complaint: I had a Target store card and they " upgraded '' it to a credit card that can be used anywhere and it was stolen, I informed the credit card company and they sent me an affidavit. I filled it out and sent it back. A month later I received a letter from Target saying my claim was denied and because I did n't provide them with a police report ( they never shared I had to ) and when I asked why noone called or communicated that I needed to get one, they stated they do n't have to tell me that. They are now sending threating letters to report it to my credit and everytime I call to speak to XXXX ( the claim specialist ) she refuses my call and " supervisors do n't speak to consumers on disputes ''. I need someone to step in because this is unfair treatment of a consumer.

Complaint: TD Bank is the holder of my second and third mortgages since XXXX. I have tried to deal with this bank in the past, several times, over the last past three years for a similar matter, and a year ago had reported this to the CFPB. Since my last complaint, I have had a major change in circumstance. When I last applied to this bank for a mortgage modification, we were struggling to pay these mortgages and had been for a few years. Since then we went back to paying for over a year and a half as we had no choice, the bank was taking serious steps towards foreclosure. However, this past XXXX, I lost my long time job, thrusting my family into a serious decline in income. I appealed to this bank again, only about two months ago, filling out a hardship application for both loans. It took a while but I received a letter from the bank for each loan, stating that according to them, we can afford to make these payments. No other explanation was given. That was all the reply I was to expect? No further investigation into our financials? I experienced frustration beyond belief. Who are they to tell us we can afford it? What are they even looking at or considering? Just one submitted proof of income? I fail to understand. We lost a XXXX steady part time income in our household and I am now off of unemployment as well after six months. We lost an good supplemental income that allowed us to pay our major monthly debts and obligations and had enough after to put food on our table, pay medical expenses and our other pressing obligations. Now we are struggling to pay simple things like our phone and gas bill and to put food on our table. If one of our cars should break down we would n't even be able to pay for a repair at this point. I find it hard to believe that a major bank like this has no program to lower interest rates on mortgages. We are paying very high interest rates on both of these loans making them absolutely unaffordable. We are at the point that if I dont ' find employment very soon we may have to go back to not making the payments by XXXX and ruin our credit which is fairly good at this point. It is also very unlikely that I will be able to obtain the type of employment which can support these loans as I due to health concerns can not work full time. We are besides ourselves with this bank. they are simply impossible to deal with and known to be a " very difficult bank '' in the debt relief industry. Futhermore, I have health issues and may be filing for XXXX next month. If awarded XXXX, I will have a very modest income at best for the rest of my life if I do n't return to work but not an income which can support payments such as this. It 's either pay the full payments or lose our house? There are no other options. Let me state, that the only modification that this bank offered me in the past and I had no choice but to accept, was to bring me current or give us a " recast '' which is the same thing. I am current right now only barely and not for long. A recast is not lowering interest rates as everyone knows and should never be considered a form of modification.

Complaint: 1. On XX/XX/2016 I noticed that my TDbank checking account had an unauthorized transferred to a company called XXXX consisting of all my checking account funds. I 've never heard of this company.
2. I went to the local branch and they made out a Reg E form to initialize an investigation and they cancelled my debit card and issued me another.
3. I checked with VENMO and found out they are a susidiary of XXXX. It appears as if one of XXXX 's clients committed the fraud using my debit card number.
4. I wrote to XXXX telling them of the problem. They set me up with a case number. I also gave them the last XXXX digits of my cancelled dewbit card.
5. XXXX replied that they XXXX know of the perpetrator but could not publish it it because of their privacy policy. They did suggest I contact the police. They did say the proper procedure would be for TDbank to restore my funds and then bill XXXX who would then retyurn them to TDbank.
6. Meanwhile, my bank 's " Fraud Unit '' said I should retrieve the funds from XXXX.
7. I checked with TDbank 's policy regarding Unauthorized Transfers. The policy says " if you notify us within 2 business days after you learn of the loss or theft you can lose no more than {$50.00} if someone uses your card without your permission ''. I notified the bank in less tan XXXX hours.
8. I need an advocate in this matter to restore my account. I am a retiree and that was all the money I had until the next SS check is deposited.

Complaint: TD AUTOFINANCE approved an auto loan with a substantial down payment ( {$15000.00} ) on XXXX XXXX, 2016 and delivery of the truck was that date. Afterwards they spent over a month asking for more information and in fact refused to fund the dealer for over 30 days. The loan was pre-approved. TD Autofinance also refused to take an online payment by debit card on the date of the first payment even though it was only 8 days after the loan was funded. This after they actively advertise online payments. They are now reporting the payment late, trying to collect a late fee, and should n't even have a payment due yet. They took a check payment online charging us over {$500.00} in unearned interest. Of course, by doing so they forced the payment to be late since they would not submit it until the day after it is due. Contrary to a debit card which will clear by midnight on the day it is due. We contacted TD Autofinance over a week ago inquiring into the whole transaction and were told that our payment was due no matter what. I 'm convinced that this is an ongoing criminal enterprise! Based on my research, interest is due in arrears and only earned interest at that. I requested a reset of the first due date to properly reflect interest earned and TD told me to stuff it.

Complaint: TD Bank continues to pursue me for a debt related to a foreclosure that occurred well over five years ago. The property associated with this mortgage was surrendered in XXXX of 2011, and despite that, TD Bank continues with collection efforts. They continue to report that I have a balance owed to them on my credit report as well. The statute of limitations to collect a debt in the state of North Carolina is three years, so their continued efforts and reporting is a violation of my rights.
