Complaint: On XXXX , I received an alert from XXXX credit monitoring about an new collection account added to my credit file. On XXXX , I contacted the listed collection agency on my credit file for the complete account number of the said account. On that same date, I wrote the collection agency a letter requesting validation of the debt. Attached to this complaint is a copy of that letter. I have also received confirmation from the USPS tha t the certified mail was successfully delivered to Midwest Recovery Systems. On X/X/17 I called Midwest Recovery Systems again and they either hanged up the phone on me or transferred my call from one agent to the next. On X/X/17 , I sent a fax to both XXXX and XXXX of the letter of validation that was mailed to MRS . After receipt of my request to validate the deb t, Midwest Recover y System continu es to report this debt to both XXXX and XXXX .

Complaint: I was notified by my mortgage lender of a company called Midwest recovery systems who placed an item on my credit report for {$930.00} for a supposed pay day loan. I have not taken payday loan since XXXX and I had my bankruptcy finalized in XXXX . I have never heard from this company nor any loan company via phone, mail, or email. It just suddenly appeared on my report. I attempted to contact them and they just threaten me. They refuse to provide any support to their claim and it is having a negative impact on my credit. I have read they are a scam and many people are having difficulties. I want this removed from my XXXX , XXXX , and all to other credit reports

Complaint: I was checking my credit report and noticed a " new '' collection account had been added that adversely affected my score. The collection Company listed is Midwest Recovery. Listing XXXX XXXX XXXX ( there are no locations in Colorado ) as th e original debtor. First red flag. I proceeded to call them and find out what is was they could not find any collection under my name. They asked of I used another name and I gave that to them. They found the account. They proceeded to tell me that the account was from XXXX XXXX . Second red flag. I have not used my previous name since late XXXX . Which means this collection is older then XXXX and was most likely part of my bankruptcy filed and discharged under my former name in XXXX . I am looking to have these collections " fully removed '' from my credit reports not just closed. I have also found out th at Midwest Recovery is not licensed to do business in Colorado and believe they either bought this debt without checking the pap erwork or are trying to resurrect it. Please advise. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General 's Office here in Colorado and they are investigating. When I advised the person at Midwest I was going to file a complaint with the Attorney General they hung up.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX a collections hit my credit report XXXX and XXXX for {$500.00}. Once I received the notification I contacted the debt collector Midwest Recovery Systems for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . I call ed MRS and s poke to a representative to get written verification that the debt belongs to me. I wanted something with a signature that I actually received and applied for the loan. They were able to send me this information instead they sent me a letter from them claiming the debt was mine and provided who they purchased the debt from which they could not give me any contact phone number, the date it was supposedly deposited in my account, the date the loan was taken out. .With that information I did more research.I called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to p rovide the written verification. I called XXXX phone numbers I found on XXXX which were known working finally found a cell phone number for XXXX XXXX . Asked him to provide the written information and he could n't. He just gave me the same informati on MRS provided. XXXX then sent me a text stating to offer MRS {$100.00} to settle the account but that is not the action I want I want this collections removed from my credit report. He then stated do not tell them he told me this but they brought the account for pennies on a dollar and they would settle. I then proceeded to pull my bank statements from XXXX - XXXX to find where the funds were deposited into my account. I found no proof. I tried to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they no longer exist this company was out of XXXX . All I am asking is for them to provide written proof and if they ca n't remove the collections from my credit report. I am uncomfortable sending banks statements to provide the proof that I never received the funds. If I need to do so please let me know.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX , Midwest Recovery System s, LLC repor ted to XXXX and XXXX that XXXX accounts ( {$1800.00} and {$350.00} ) were assigned to them for collection. I do not know what these debts are for and the XXXX accounts they claim are " open '' do not have an account number. They appear to be for payday loans, which I have NEVER taken out. I do not owe this debt either to the original creditor or Midwest Recovery Systems. Midwest Recovery never c ontacted me either via telephone or mail prior to reporting these unidentified accounts to the credit bureaus. I am demanding that they remove these accounts from my credit history as they will have a negative impact on my credit rating.

Complaint: Hello, my name is XXXX , my identity was stolen back in 2011, about two weeks ago a collection from " MIDWEST RECOVERY SYSTEMS '' shows up on my credit report ( s ), and it is not mine, they claim it was from a payday loan taken in 2011 and that I should " just pay it '', I will NOT pay for something that I did not do!
