Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an alert on my credit report of a collection from Midwest Recovery Systems and an alert of an additional address that is out of state ( also added by this collection agency ). The collection was opened 2 months ago and the original creditor is said to be XXXX XXXX XXXX with the amount owed being {$610.00}. I immediately called Midwest Recovery Systems and in speaking with an associate, I was told that the account with XXXX XXXX XXXX was opened XX/XX/XXXX with a payment being made to/from some bank account that I had never owned. There are several things wrong with this situation : First, Midwest reports a collection to my account for a payday loan without any prior notification. Second, an address that I have never lived at ( in another state ) is being reported to XXXX by this company. Third, payday loans are illegal in the state of Georgia and I have never resided anywhere else! Fourth, the I have never banked at the institution named by the associate I spoke with on the phone. Since I am currently involved bankruptcy and have had identity theft issues in the past, I was told my only recourse would be to file a police report ( for fraud/identity theft ) and then fax it to them ( XXXX ) so that they could investigate.

I have asked them to get the creditor to provide a signed contract for purchase with my signature requesting a loan with this company. I have asked in the disputes and have not received any information or the removal of the creditor from my reports.

I contacted Midwest Recovery Systems four times over two weeks about this account. Midwest Recovery Systems informed me that they notified XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX on XXXX XXXX to remove this fraudulent account from my credit file. This account is still on my credit file as of XX/XX/2018. I have filed a cfpb complaint against : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX in reference to this account.

Complaint: I received an alert regarding a new collection on my credit report yesterday. I looked and it was for Midwest Recovery Systems. I called XXXX and XXXX right away and filed a dispute. I called Midwest and they tried to tell me it was from XXXX/XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX and I was paying on it from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX from my bank account and my bank verified this. I have called my bank and there is no record of a loan from XXXX. Back in XX/XX/XXXX I had to dispute two accts from Midwest for two payday loans for {$1000.00} each. Now this one is saying its a payday loan in the amount of {$1000.00}. I find the amount from the same place very close and fishy. The two accts were found out to be frauds when i reported them to you and to my credit reports. This is getting ridiculous how they can just fall on your credit report when they are scams. Im trying to rebuild my credit and they keep knocking me down. I have XXXX Midwest REcovery systems and they are known for doing this to people. The lady from Midwest hung up on me last night when i told her this was a scam. They have not tried to contact me via phone or mail regarding this debt. It just showed up on my credit report. I want this removed from my credit report. There needs to be some sort of block for these companies. thank you XXXX XXXX

I told them that was not me, if I got a balance from the creditor why they don't send the bill to my house or call me. They never send any bill or call. I am buying a house, trying to get a pre approve letter that is how I find out from my loan office told me. I need it to remove from my credit report.

The debt has past the statute of limitations according to my state laws in Texas. I am also aware that re-aging of a debt in an attempt to collect on a debt is also illegal under the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. the most current date on this collection is XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$980.00}. I also have proof that this account was should the first date of delinquency is XX/XX/XXXX which mean the account was re-aged in an attempt to further collect on a debt.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Midwest Recovery Systems contacted me saying I owed a bad debt of {$770.00}. This is not my account and I have never used XXXX XXXX XXXX from which this original debt is reported. Midwest Recovery contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX to collect a debt from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX with the date of XX/XX/XXXX for the last activity on the account. I have contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to find out what account number and name they have associated with this account. They reported that they did not keep records of accounts after it goes to a third party collection agency. The fact that this was not ever reported on my credit report until XX/XX/XXXX and the fact that neither Midwest Recovery nor XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX can give me an account number or an original loan amount seems very suspicious. With no information sent to me to collect a debt, Midwest Recovery placed this bad debt on my credit report. I have also looked at my entire bank records during the time mentioned and have found no payments to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. I have read other reviews on this same Midwest Recovery Systems company and they all have similar stories. At the same time, I am trying to get a mortgage and this has negatively affected my credit score. The company hopes you will just pay the debt and forget about it. This is a scam and more severe action must be done to punish this company for their illegal practice.

I have been experienced identity theft in the past, resulting in someone getting a house in my name. This debt is not mine and I word hard and diligently to keep my credit and social security number protected. Dates of transation reporting on my credit began in XX/XX/2018, it was taken off in XX/XX/2018 and as of XX/XX/2018 it is back on my credit. I have spoken with this company letting them know this is not my account please remove off my credit but to no avail.
