Complaint: This is the 2nd co mplaint I have filed on Lexis Nexus in a yea r. They are reporting a tax lien of {$5300.00} that was filed on XXXX / XXXX / 16 . This is showing up on XXXX and I disputed it twice and they sent a letter saying the information was gathered fr om Lexis Nexus. Fi rst of all the address was XXXX XXXX XXXX which I have not lived at in over 2 years. Second of all, it belongs to another family member not me! I locked my file last year wi th Lexus Nexus but obviously that is not true either. I am sick of this company reporting wrong info. It has never reported on XXXX or XXXX . I am trying to refinance a loan and can not because of this wrong info they are reporting. I also have a letter from the court house that shows there is no lien with my social security number reported by them at the courthouse.

Complaint: I filed a joint chapter 7 bankruptcy on XXXX XXXX , XXXX with my spouse. That bankruptcy was discharged on XXXX XXXX of XXXX . My credit report with XXXX is still not reporting any information on my bankruptcy. It is not even showing that I filed. But, it 's showing correctly on my husbands report. I contacted XXXX and was told they are just a credit monitoring agency and they do n't make any updates to the report. Since XXXX of this year, I have spoken to at least 8 dif ferent reps. Toda y ( XXXX XXXX ) after my husband viewed his report, it showed that Lexis Nexis was the vendor that was reporting this information to XXXX . I talked to XXXX with lexis nexis today ( XXXX XXXX ) at XXXX CT. She told me that they were the public record vendor for XXXX . She also told me that lexis nexis is reporting MY bankruptcy information to XXXX , but XXXX is not obligated to report any information about my bankruptcy on my credit report. She directed me to call XXXX . So I called XXXX again today and spoke to XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX told me it 's the courts responsiblity to report my bankruptcy information to the court. I confirmed with the bankruptcy court, they do n't report anything to credit bureaus, the bureaus have their own vendors where they get that information from. I asked XXXX if there was another department or someone who was more knowledgeable about the situation, he said everyone there would say the same thing and they have the same information that he has, so he could n't transfer me. I 've been trying to get this information updated for 2 months now. Now I know they have this information, but are just refusing to report my bankruptcy. Not only that, but they told me I could dispute all of my debts, but even if all of my creditors report my debt as discharged in bankruptcy, my credit report will never update to reflect the bankruptcy in the public records section of my report. I also want to mention that this bankruptcy is showing on my husbands credit reports. Since we filed jointly and only 1 notice goes out to the bureaus with both of our information on it. I know they received the proper notification.

Complaint: I had a Federal Tax Lien filed in error on XX/XX/XXXX. The IRS realized it was an error and issued a withdrawal on XX/XX/XXXX. The withdrawal was sent to the Register of Deeds in my county but XXXX and Lexis Nexis never reported the withdrawal. I filed a dispute and reinvestgation but XXXX insisted the information from Lexis was correct and never corrected the information even though I sent them a copy of the withdrawal twice. My husband filed a complaint with CFPB as he was treated in the same manner. The result was it was corrected on his report but not mine.

Complaint: I discovered a tax lien in t he State of Maryland which was not correct. I had not lived in nor worked in the State of Maryland in XX/XX/XXXX ( y ear in question ) however, due to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I used my sisters address as a return address on my federal tax returns to insure I would not miss any mail. Maryland thought I was in MD and pursued taxes owed. In XX/XX/XXXX I d iscovered the lien and started to investigate. After multiple phone calls I was able to speak to a supervisor who understood my dilemma. She realized the lien was not valid and on behlf of the State of Maryland filed a Notice of Lien Withdrawal on XX/XX/XXXX noting the lien was withdrawn and vacated and sent a copy the credit reporting agencies and to me. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX proof of the liens updated status requesting removal by US Mail. On XX/XX/XXXX , I disput ed online through XXXX XXXX . On XX/XX/XXXX I mailed copy of lien withdrawal to XXXX by certified mail return receipt requeste d ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) delivered XX/XX/XXXX . On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with a XXXX customer service agent to check status of my request for investigation. I was told that investigation was incomplete. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX reported investigation completed and that tax lien was valid and would not be removed from my credit report. I made no payments to th e State of Maryl and as this was a lien filed in error. I sent information by US mail and confirmed documents had been received. XXXX is obligated to investigate and remove erroneous information. This was not a paid tax lien this was a tax lien that never should have been filed. The State of Maryland recognized the error and filed a motion to vacate and withdraw while XXXX has failed to properly investigate and report the error.
