Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and I am having problems with Lendmark Financial Services. I was summons to go to court and my attorney requested information from XXXX attorney for which they could not produce so the courts recommended they settle the account with us. The information was given to the XXXX attorney and they still have not contact my attorney and this is getting to be absolutely ridiculous. Also if my attorney was unable to obtain the proper information directly from their attorney how are the bureaus getting information?

Complaint: I took a mortgage loan out in 2009 and the company was bought by three other loan companys. I had expectional payment history until my mining job shut down. However, my credit score is suffering because even though the two other companies shut down and the third company took it over, I still have it in my credit from all three companies as if it is three different accounts, even having different account numbers. I have filed a dispute to have these other two companies to delete the duplicate negatively reported information and they fail to do so.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2016 I took a personal loan with Lendmark Financial Services in XXXX VA for {$2500.00}. The loan was for 36 months at {$150.00} a month payment. I have never miss a single month payment, I only have 1 or 2 at most 3/4 days late payment that I call them in advance for. I was told by the Virginia office representatives that as long as the late payment is less than 8 days I will not be charged late fee. I also changed my due date from the XXXX of the month to the XXXX and I was told that I will not be charged a fee or interests. I was told many times that my last payment date is XX/XX/XXXX. All of a sudden theres a {$250.00} extra in my loan that they can not explain, even the Virginia agent was surprise and confused about the extra fee. The Virginia agent called and tried to explain the extra {$250.00} but he could not clearly articulate why theres an extra {$250.00} on a loan that supposed to have only {$150.00} balance.

Lendmark Financial Services is threatening court and taking folks money not even 30 days late. This company uses employees to go to court as attorney, an abuse of the law.
This company needs a audit of their practice and tactics to strong arm.
I have had my account t number changed two times and concerned that this company just wants to take folks to court.
My debt is monthly {$140.00} and this debt should have been marked paid in full The interest rates over usury laws in Va and so forth. The number of complaints and threats of court and the account is not over 30 days late is abusive practices in lending to consumers.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with a Mr. XXXX XXXX about my inability to pay being that i was unemployed at that time. He informed me that i could have the XXXX payment waived by going on a payment plan that would push my account out to XX/XX/XXXX. When The XXXX came around i had just began back working starting XX/XX/XXXX. Being that i was unemployed for a total of 6 months, I also had other bills ( Carnote, Insurance, childcare, ect. ) that i had to take care of or else i wouldve continued to be unemployed without the proper means to get to work. Starting XX/XX/XXXX and almost every day there after i would recieve at least 6 live phone calls a day from Their Place of business LENDMARK FINACIAL SERVICES Located in XXXX, MD XXXX. It didnt really bother me until Yester day XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from an unknown number not saved in my phone. Turns out it was the Branch manger, Mrs. XXXX XXXX Contacting Me Using HER PERSONAL PHONE, Once I identified my self, mrs. XXXX preceeded to tell me that i was past due, which i was aware of and explained to her that i can not send what i dont have and that i was working on trying to fulfil my balance. She then threatened that she would foward my file to an attorney that would then move foward with garnishing 25 % of my wages and then hung up the phone. I called her back to ask what other options did I have because i was planning on making a payment today XX/XX/XXXX, in which i did in the amount of {$200.00}. She then preceeded to tell me that i was behind 2 payments as if to say she did not believe i was activley trying to fulfill my my balance or would be able to. I feel this was a form of harrasment because I recieved i high influx of calls from the company while at work with patients and then to have a Manager use her personal phone to contact me was just mind blowing. I understand there was a job to be done which was getting in contact with me, however it was done incorrectly and Unprofessionally.

Complaint: Monthly payments are being made to Lenmark Financial @ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CO XXXX. I understand they are coming in late, this is no excuse. They have not been more then 30 days past due. The issue is that I get repeated phone calls from an employee by the name of XXXX. He leaves voicemails that are threatening collection tactics. I spoke to a manager months ago about an extension after the payment was made. Never went through. I make my payment each month, again I fully understand that its late I try my best not to go over 30 days ( which I have never done ). Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and it was the first vehicle I received a loan for having purchased my previous cars in cash in full. At the time, my credit score was about a 670 and I was told by the dealership ( XXXX XXXX ) that I was being denied by lenders due to me not having a car loan on my credit report already and that despite my credit score not being bad, they denied me. It became a situation where as a single mother I felt hopeless and needed to purchase a vehicle to get back to work. I asked the dealer what options I have. He started out saying maybe instead of putting {$2000.00} down, the lenders would work with me if I put more down. After offering to put {$5000.00} down, the salesman said the lenders still denied me and he would reach out to one last financial institution ( which all of this could've been a scam between the two companies ). When speaking of purchasing the car, the salesman figured that my monthly payments would be around {$150.00} a month since I was only getting about a {$7300.00} loan, offering a sizeable down payment. He told me he would call me when the lender ( Lendmark Financial ) got back to him ( which may have been to discuss how to XXXX me even more and take advantage ). I received a call about an hour later saying there was good news and they would give me the loan. The following day, I went to Lendmark Financial to receive the loan and go back to XXXX to close the deal. Lendmark not only pushed a 60 month payment structure onto me, knowing I wanted 72, but they added on additional products, such as roadside assistance that they made to seem were a requirement and I'm pretty sure they are not and I already have coverage through my insurance carrier. By the time I was done, my payments were figured to be {$310.00} ( more than double of what I expected ) for 60 months, with an interest rate through the roof. For a {$7300.00} loan, Lendmark will receive {$18000.00} from me over 5 years, which is insane and outrageous. I tried to resolve the issue right there in person, but they made it seem as though if I did not sign the paperwork and listen to them, I would not receive my loan that I needed to get to work after my prior car was totaled. No one believes me when I tell them how high my payments are for such a small loan. My credit was not even poor at the time, they just told me my interest rate would be so high because I never had a car loan before which sounds like a load of lies to me. I made a desperate purchase being a single mother that has a long term negative impact on my entire life and would not recommend other people use their services. It seems predatory and should be illegal if it is not. I can send copies of any of the paperwork, if need be. I will voice my opinions about them on social media and other forms of outlets in order to help consumers in the area learn of the dangers of working with them and avoid being taken advantage of.
