Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: CHASE BANK refused to refund a disputed charge I have from XXXX ( Booked through XXXX ) {$2300.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. That charge made by Travel Agency and the agency has cancelled the transaction according to numerous emails. I canceled booking on XX/XX/XXXX. Then I got letter from travel agency that my bookings are canceled and provide all information about cancelation policy including full refund, the handling time should be around 8 weeks. Its almost 6 months, since I canceled bookings and I still didnt get refund. On XX/XX/XXXX I have sent them email where I asked about refund issue and why I didnt get refund. They answer me we have checked and found that there is chargeback by your bank. Hence we request you to please speak with your bank regarding refund. After that tried to dispute this charge with chase, every time when I called to chase customer service I had different instructions from them about what information I need to provide in fax, they never contacted me in order to get additional information. However, I sent them cancelation letters from agency and fully explained my situation. On XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a letter that the transaction from XX/XX/XXXX is valid and refused to acknowledge the emails from XX/XX/XXXX that I received.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to update the Chase United Credit Card in my e-wallet and a notification populated stating that the card is not active. I then immediately reached out to card services and they informed me that the account has been closed ( no communication was sent prior to this action ). Due to the time of day the office that handles account closures was closed and I was told to call a specific line the following day.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice in my Chase app box that informed of the account closure ( see attached ). The two reasons were increase in revolving credit spend, and a rejected payment. Below is insight into each item stipulated : +Increase in Revolving Credit Spend : Prior to applying and getting approved for this card I had one credit card since XXXX and many years of zero credit usage. It was an emergency card I received with a {$1000.00} limit from XXXX. I obtained status with United and the airline partnered with Chase to provide a lucrative incentive for first time card holders of XXXX miles with a $ XXXX spend requirement within 3 months. I never had a need or desire to utilize credit, but this incentive combined with my travel job and loyalty to United was a great financial plan. I was approved for the card and given a $ XXXX limit. I made business purchases with the card including buying a XXXX XXXX ( {$1800.00} - see statements attached ). My intent was never to pay minimum balances but to the pay the statement balances entirely in effort to also increase my credit score beyond the XXXX I presently held. There was an error in XXXX purchase so you'll notice on the statements that ( 2 ) were purchased but one was returned but unfortunately it appears I had made $ XXXX in purchases at XXXX when in fact it was just the ( 1 ) XXXX purchase. I can provide bank statements if you would like to see how the credit purchases mirror my debit spending habits. Needless to say the justification from a Chase Internal Team Member was that the increase in spend was alarming regardless of the bank 's United Miles incentive time constricted promotion. The associate 's tone was condescending and never made me feel as if this decision was given the effort to understand transaction details, promotion timeline, and spend/payment trends. I relayed my payment and transaction history but these pivotal insights were completely disregarded as the representative was not going to assist me in my request to appeal this erroneous action from the bank that can harm my near perfect credit score that I have maintained for many years without credit usage.
+Rejected Payment : the second reason for my account closure was due to a returned payment for my first billing cycle. I had paid my statement balance of {$1500.00} plus an additional {$1400.00} ( ttl {$3000.00} ) on XX/XX/XXXX ( billing due date was XX/XX/XXXX ). I noticed after 4 days the payment did not withdraw from my XXXX XXXX XXXX checking account and called credit card services on XX/XX/XXXX to ask if there was any issue with the payment and they said the payment was returned for a banking error due to the Banking Routing Numbers on the account. I also have a Chase/XXXX car loan that utilizes the same account information and has been withdrawn from the same checking account, on time, since XX/XX/XXXX. After the representative informed me of the error I did not have to adjust the routing numbers for the account and made a second successful payment of {$3500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX ( billing due date was XX/XX/XXXX and minimum payment due was {$25.00} ). In order to increase my credit limit I had to call Chase and we had to conference XXXX XXXX XXXX 's account services department in order to confirm receipt of the {$3500.00} payment. This call was completed on XXXX with a Chase rep and it took us 45 minutes to resolve. XXXX confirmed the payment was transacted and the Chase rep mentioned that for the first 4 months of the life of the credit card this step will need to be completed and she then immediately increased my available credit.

I used JP Morgan Chase to finance the purchase with a first payment date of XX/XX/19.
I paid {$800.00} by phone on the XXXX of XXXX for the XXXX payment.

I had not received any emails or phone calls that any issues existed.

In the process Chase has reported me late on my auto loan which has caused my credit score to drop XXXX points!!! I am in the process of qualifying for a new home purchase. This could not have happened at a worse time.

Complaint: I was traveling outside the country, while working for the Gov't for 6 months or so. When I came home I noticed a massive fraud. Originally Chase only credited me {$3100.00} for the fraud, which they had they reversed which is a total crime. Outside the {$3100.00}, the fraud was massive. Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: I Misplaced my wallet on XX/XX/19 ( I found it in my couch ). This credit card in question was put up for emergency use. We used it once at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 for {$28.00}. there is a charge for {$370.00} at the XXXX ohio XXXX, which we haven't shopped at for over a year now, I do not recollect using this card or shopping there this year. ( we shop at the one in XXXX WV since we live in XXXX ohio ).
We used this card at the XXXX XXXX XXXX to pick up some candy and toys for the kids, We were on our way back from our " fancy dinner '' in XXXX. The same day there is a charge for {$0.00} that we DID NOT make. You'll notice this amount recurring, sometimes twice a day for over a month.
I found my wallet the next morning on XX/XX/19 and I placed the card back up for emergency use, and never looked at the statements since its " auto pay ''. Every couple months I routinely check my cards to verify activity and balances.

I sent emails, and " secure messages '' via the website. All i hear back is, we will look into it and contact you back. they haven't even asked WHICH CHARGES ARE FRAUDULENT!!!
i have been dealing with this for over four weeks, with no contact back from CHASE WHATSOEVER. They actually posted on my credit profile for this card under " remarks '' that these Charges are accurate and not to remove them ( Because after 3 weeks of no contact I Threatened to not pay this balance and report it as fraudulent ( You know, the fraudulent part they refuse to help with ).
Still no contact, Still no questions, No help. I have never had my identity, or card information ever stolen, And now I fear, And sometimes Even panic at the thought that if this had been a card with a higher limit, how bad that would be.

Complaint: I applied and was approved for the Chase Business Credit Card in XX/XX/XXXX. The promotion for this card offer allow applicants to earn XXXX points after {$5000.00} or more in eligible purchases are made on the credit card within the first 3 months. In the first 3 months I made purchase over {$5000.00} with this credit card and paid off my balance on time and the earning point posted in my account. After I paid off I don't use this credit card and didn't check my account online.
On XX/XX/XXXX I went online to Chase account and find out that my credit card have been cancel by Chase and Chase took all my earning point away. I call customer service and find out that my credit card have been charge over {$800.00} in XX/XX/XXXX and it past due. She said to able to reopen my credit card account I have to pay off the balance.
I want to keep my points so on the XX/XX/XXXX I make payment of {$400.00}, and another payment on XX/XX/XXXX for {$200.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I pay off the remains balance of {$200.00}. However, after I paid off that unknown charge to my credit card, Chase refuse to reopen my credit card account and not give my back my earning point.
The Chase representative tell me to apply another Chase credit card and when I receive the new card call the customer service give the reference as follow XXXX so they can post my earning point back to my new credit card account. I did follow his instruction to apply the new card. However, on XX/XX/XXXX I received letter from Chase with Reference Number XXXX to did not approve my credit card even though my credit score is XXXX show on the letter.

Complaint: Once a month I receive a phone call from XXXX XXXX XXXX, which claim they are a mediation company, the individual on the phone states they are attempting to collect a debt. After I verify that I am the the person they are trying reach with the last 4 digits of that social security number the operator tells me they are trying to collect on a Chase acct. I inform them that I never had a Chase acct, have not had the name they show on the acct for the last 6 years and I want the threatening calls to stop. After that they either put me on an indefinite hold or hang up on me.
If I let the call go through to voice mail, it is a recorded message stating they are going to serve me at my home or office but the operators they can not verify either address.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX J.P.Morgan Chase Bank without any explanations closed my joint with my wife accounts.
As I have been told by phone The Bank issued two Cashier 's cheques # # XXXX and XXXX, but sent them to the mailing address that I have been using for correspondence with the bank till XX/XX/XXXX. As since XX/XX/XXXX my banking statements and other mail from the bank were correctly sent to my home address in XXXX XXXX ( Attachment_01 ) such a mistake looks for me inexplicable.
In XX/XX/XXXX I finally managed to file a Claim XXXX which was closed and reopened in April ( Attachment_02 ). During phone calls with constantly changing managers of Branch Complaint Escalation Group ( example could be seen in Attachment_02 ) it turned out that the only way to get my money back is to file a Declaration of Lost, Stolen or destroyed cashier 's check ( Attachment_03 ). The declaration concerns issues when check is physically lost or stolen and should be considered as a equivalent of sworn testimony in court and therefore must be notarized, in my situation in US Embassy in XXXX.
The Bank forces me to make a false statements for which I have been already sent a blank declaration form twice ( see Attachment_04 ) by XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 XXXX Sunday my vehicle was stolen from my house with my wallet inside. My Chase debit card was used without my permission or knowledge at a nearby XXXX. I filed a police report with the XXXX PD and was informed that video surveillance was captured of an individual who was not me using my debit card. I received a couple text messages from Chase alerting me of the fraudulent card uses. I cancelled the debit card and had a new on issued. After Chase 's supposed investigation Chase determined these charges to be accurate and are not going to refund my money. Chase 's fraud protection program is false advertisement at best.

Complaint: I ordered a 15 inch XXXX XXXX XXXX Laptop from XXXX using my Chase Debit card for a total of {$2900.00} on XX/XX/2019. The package was supposedly shipped out via XXXX and allegedly " delivered '' to my house on XX/XX/2019. I was home the entire day waiting for the package but no one ever showed up to deliver it and I did not receive the box. After waiting 2 days in the case that XXXX delayed the delivery, the laptop still did not arrive. So I contacted XXXX, the merchant, to see if they can contact XXXX to try and locate my package if it went missing or something. One of the agents from XXXX told me that XXXX will start an investigation to try and locate the package. After a month and a half of " investigating '' and constant calls with both XXXX and XXXX and continuous times of XXXX telling me they would refund me the payment but never did, I could no longer wait for my money back speaking with them. I called my Chase bank number on the back of my debit card and disputed the transaction on XX/XX/2019. I gave them all the information they asked for and was issued a temporary credit for the disputed charges. I was given no updates on the status of the dispute, but was given my money back. At that point, because I had my money, I assumed that the disputed charges resulted in my favor. But today, on XX/XX/2019, I received a letter in the mail dated XX/XX/2019, that Chase bank has found based on their " research '' that the disputed transaction of {$2900.00} was " processed correctly or was authorized '' and will be removing {$2900.00} from my account on XX/XX/2019. Upon contacting Chase again, they told me that they will not be reviewing my claim or take a second look at it. I will lose {$2900.00} and still will not have the XXXX XXXX XXXX laptop I ordered on XX/XX/2019. At this point, I will not have the funds to pay for my monthly expenses because I will be short almost {$3000.00} with 4 days notice.

Complaint: I signed up for a new checking account and savings account with chase with a promotional coupon code so you would receive {$200.00} after opening a checkingaccount and you've met the requirements stated in the fine print. For some reason two accounts were open in my name with chase. Upon noticing this error i messaged chase and they said they would remove the extra account for me and KEEP OPEN THE ONE THAT HAD THE PROMOTION CODE ON IT. ( PROOF IN MY MESSAGES OF THIS CONVERSATION ) WELL, thinking everything was all set I had my employer start putting weekly payroll into my checking account.
I kept checking in with reps ( again, proof on phone calls and in my messages with them ) and all of them guaranteed they see I've been fulfilling the fine print promotional requirements and that my {$200.00} bonus will be deposited within 10 business days. Ok, 10 business days go by and 3 weeks of direct deposits and still not bonus. I call, and the lady said " I do see you have the code! Since today IS the 10th business day but it's Friday..funds are deposited on Tuesdays so technically yes, 12 business days '' ok ... my patience is thin but whatever. Tuesday rolls around. No deposit. I call. Then a representative tells me the other rep closed out the WRONG CHECKING ACCOUNT. are you KIDDING ME. UNACCEPTABLE. and EVERY SINGLE PERSON kept saying I'm getting the deposit. Every week and NO ONE SAW THIS MAJOR ERROR UNTIL AFTER??? IM LIVID. so then they put in a extra " investigation '' so Tuesday and fast forward to today, Saturday. I finally get a call back with the conclusion, even though they admitted it was THEIR MISTAKE there's NOTHING they can do. I'd have to " create " a new checking account with new coupon code and have my employer start direct deposits all over again in a new again and set up my auto pay bills from a new account too. Basically a huge inconvenience and terrible customer LYING service.

Complaint: Hello not sure of the Exact date it was around the first part of XX/XX/XXXX, I received a Call from Chase inquiring about an balance on {$670.00} from an checking account i opened in XXXX. I didn't dispute anything as i knew i owed the charges. I asked the lady if i could counter the amount and pay {$400.00} as a settlement amount. The agent agreed and took my bank and routing number for payment which would of begun immediately. I also received a letter in the mail stating if i pay the {$400.00} by XX/XX/XXXX the account will be consider paid. Payments were to begin immediate and after a few weeks i did not see any charges coming out my account. I called the agent and asked what was going on and we went over the bank and routing number to make sure it was recorded correctly with the agent. She advised me then that they only take certain kinds of checking account numbers from traditional banking accounts as i had given them my information from my prepaid debit card i had with a non bank. The agent advised they couldn't go back and honor the agreement and i was fully responsible for the original charges.
