You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: I was contacted by a Mr. XXXX on the behalf of XXXX & XXXX apartments. This was end of XXXX to late XXXX early XXXX. I stated to him that I did n't owe them anything I was never presented with a bill after I returned my keys. He then stated to me that it would go on my credit report and I would n't be able to rent another apartment. XXXX XXXX or XXXX. I received a call from my aunt who was a cosigner when I first signed my lease with XXXX & XXXX, but she did n't sign when I renewed my lease with them. She stated that this XXXX guy has been calling her about a debt I supposedly owed to this apartment company. I stated to her that she should n't have gotten any calls because her signature was only on the first year that I stayed in the apartment. I called Mr. XXXX over 6 times. When he finally answered I stated my name and went on to ask why would he contact my aunt and she had nothing to do with my business because she did n't resign the lease when I renewed with this apartment complex, so she should n't have been contacted. I stated that he has disclosed personal information and asked could I speak with his supervisor he stated no and hung up in my face. I called back repeatedly he finally answered I stated that he waa rude and unprofessional and asked could I speak with a supervisor. He transferred me to another man. I stated my name and what I was calling for he too was rude. I repeated how mr. XXXX was very rude and how he has been contacting my aunt and informing her on information that has nothing to do with her because she only signed for the first year of my lease. He stated to that he was n't aware of what transpired between mr. XXXX and I and how do I want to settle my account. Still speaking in a even tone my voice is slightly elevated but not screaming. I said to him so after all that I said to you Thats your response. He then proceeded to tell me that my aunt was contacted because she was the guarantee on the lease so she is liable. I said no that not right because she never put her signature on the new lease that I had so how can that be. I then asked to speak to his supervisor he told me repeatedly and he too hung up in my face.

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: I have had zero knowledge of this individual account. I filed a complaint. The company urges that the individual that opened the account is myself. I decided to check old notes from XXXX, a time in which I appointed someone to analyse my credit report and address all information therein and it appears that that individual spoke with the company and on recording, the collections representative threatened that without attempt for payment, nor providing of contact information that 'he ' would keep " clicking '' to run a credit report and repeatedly drop the score/rating. A supervisor was then requested in order to recount the experience with the representative and management at the time did nothing to rectify the situation. It was/is a blatant FDCPA violation to make such credit threats. Recently ( XXXX ), when I " personally '' discovered the account, Hunter Warfield 's account on my credit was disputed through Transunion ( via XXXX XXXX 's direct dispute procedure, ) as I shared with the credit bureaus as well that I did not open any such account despite what perceived evidences that company might produce. The item was removed after being found to be unfounded and shortly thereafter, said item was re-introduced to the credit bureaus, thus impacting my credit rating. I do not know why it was re-reported, nor do I understand why thus far this issue has been handled the way it has been handled.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I rented an apartment at XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I signed a Contract to lease for XXXX yr. the lease was up in XXXX XXXX which I paid until the end of my lease. after my lease was up I stayed one more month just because I was trying to pay XXXX XXXX what I owed them, in that time it was approximately, {$1300.00}, I was having a difficult time in my life at that moment I lost my job. because the company I was working for closed down.
and I was having a hard time finding a job that would pay the similar hourly rate I was making in previous job. I was so stressed and depressed by not being able to pay my bills because I run out of savings and no money. I was trying so hard, I even went in person to the XXXX XXXX and spoke to the manager at that time a nice woman I do n't recall her name. I explain to her everything that I was going thru in that time, I even told her that I was going to be forced to leave the apt to go and live with my friend in her house, because my friend wanted to help me until I got back on my feet. which I decided to take the offer and I moved out in XXXX XXXX. I left the apt with no damages and in excellent condition. and I went to the management office and returned my keys. I was devastated because it was such a nice place and I lost it because I could n't pay anymore. I was literally homeless, but My good friend XXXX invited me to stay in her house in XXXX XXXX.
which I did. at that time and due to the frustration and stress I did not pay attention and did not know that! in the contract stated that if the contract to lease was up and you did n't let the mgmt office know with 2 months in advance your lease was automatically, renew! and that is why they continue charging me and interest plus late charges which I did not know this was happening since I did n't have an address, I was living with my best friend. and did not know. they said they sent plenty of letters to my friends address, but I swear I never received anything. I have always being a Good citizen and I am not a lier. since then my credit is affected by this and I can not buy or rent anything due to my credit score, and the main reason is the collection I got from Hunter Warfield/ XXXX XXXX XXXX
I am not proud of have to leave my apt that way unexpectedly, but the circumstances in that time forced me to do so. I am just begging to resolved this amigable the most we can. I do not have money saved. I am a XXXX mom who works hard for a decent living, and I help my family in need in XXXX XXXX. who has being harassed by the guerillas. please all I want is to fix my credit so I can have a better and decent life, and perhaps be able to buy a small place so I do n't have to pay so much rent. I do not live on welfare and I do not have food stamps, I always believe that there is probably someone else out there who is in worse shape than me. and they need the help more. so I try not to live on government help. please advise me what to do? Thank you very much, Hunter Warfield XXXX XXXX XXXX my life and my credit record. and did not have any compassion and the manager at that time lie to me because she said it was ok for me to live if I did n't have an money to support myself and pay my rent. she said it was ok. oh and by the way when I first moved in at XXXX XXXX MY FIRST APT WAS FILTHY WITH CUCARACHAS AND RATS IN THE ATTIC. AND I ASKED THEM TO PLEASE MOVE ME AND MY SON TO A DIFFERENT APT . WHICH THEY DID, AND I NEVER COMPLAINT OR ADVERTISE THIS IN SOCIAL MEDIA AS OF RESPECT. I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE A BIT MORE CONSIDERATION AND COMPASSION FOR ME AND MY SITUATION. I ALWAYS TREATED THEM WITH RESPECT. I apologize for my wrong spelling my first language is XXXX.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I received a letter from the collection agency Hunter Warfield on X/XX/2017 regarding a debt from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Before calling the debt collector, I researched the company with the Better Business Bureau website and learned about its unfavorable rating on account of its heavy-handed debt collections tactics. In fact the company has a reputation of taking " disputed rental claims from shady rental agencies and tries to intimidate consumers into paying disputed claims by threatening their credit. '' Armed with this information, I telephoned the account manager, XXXX XXXX, and queried him about the matter. I stated to XXXX XXXX, " How did the company gain access to a confidential address which is not listed on any credit report? ". Although he claimed the original creditor had furnished him with information, I called him out on such an audacious lie because no one had the address. I stated that I had accumulated the debt after a lengthy hospital stay and was in no position for repayment because of a debilitating medical condition which prevented me from working. XXXX XXXX neither wanted to provide any information about how the company retrieved my personal information nor wanted to provide any information to affirm the debt.
I stated to XXXX XXXX that because the company may have violated provisions on the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act for using a third party to gain unauthorized access to a confidential address and unlisted telephone number. I stated to XXXX XXXX the collection agency had used the skip-trace method after an unauthorized third party had provided his company hired a private detective agency to supply personal information. He tried denying the situation ; however, I stated to the debt collector I knew my rights and therefore the company could neither employ shady business practices nor intimidation to cower me into repayment.
I later learned Hunter Warfield retrieved my information from the screening company, XXXX, XXXX, which is listed on a formal housing discrimination complaint with the both the Federal and Washington State Office of Housing and Urban Development. XXXX, XXXX is a local tenant screening company in XXXX Washington that provides information on prospective tenants to landlords and rental companies. XXXX, XXXX provided personal information to the debt collector, Hunter Warfield, as a scare tactic to prevent me from moving forward with a formal complaint of housing discrimination. Also, XXXX, XXXX provided adverse information to all credit reporting agencies in direct retaliation for naming the company in a formal housing discrimination complaint, thereby limiting ability to rent.

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: I am a member of the South Carolina XXXX XXXX XXXX. Back in XX/XX/XXXXI transferred my apartment at XXXX XXXX XXXX to another student at XXXX XXXX University. Her father wrote a transfer fee check and I paid her first month 's rent. XXXX XXXX never cashed her father 's check because it was my responsibility to cover the transfer fee. I was never informed of this nor was I contacted by XXXX XXXX about this outstanding balance. However my distaste does not reside with them.
I have been over seas on XXXX training for a month, XX/XX/XXXX -XX/XX/XXXX and then recently came back and moved to my new home in NC XX/XX/XXXX. After a week of being home I was contacted by Hunter Warfield, XX/XX/XXXX, they were at first polite explaining the situation they had supposedly also contacted my mother. After speaking with my mother and then the apartment complex I had found out what had happened.
This morning I was contacted again by Hunter Warfield at XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, this time they were very agitated and begun to get quite rude with me. They told me they have been they have been trying to collect this debt that I had not heard of until a week ago and that they have been attempting to collect it over a month. Again I tried to calmly, but sternly, explain I have not been here for a month and I have been investigating the matter since they had contacted me. That is when they said they were going to charge me. I then asked what they were going to charge me with. They said they were going to charge me, and send this to a credit report agency. Then told me that they had taken my response as that I was not going to pay the {$300.00} debt. Once he stated this, he then proceeded to quickly hang up on me.
Please understand I never said I would not pay the debt. I then called back the apartment complex to tell them my experience and they apologized greatly astonished by they lack of professionalism exhibited by Hunter Warfield. They then explained to me that since they themselves were never able to contact me ( since I was on a XXXX ) that they would be so kind to remove the debt from the collection agency.
I have never been treated with such arrogant and ignorantly placed hostility when approached. I would have expected a greater amount of professionalism from a 'law firm ' trying to collect payment, cruelty and threats is not the way to accomplish any goal in business or law.

Complaint: I have already disputed this account with Hunter Warfield. I submitted proof of previous disputes showing not my account. I disputed with all Credit reporting agencies and this account was removed. I have included the same payment agreement for credit card authorization or check deposit that I included within my last dispute that resulted in the removal of this account. I have also sent a verification of debt sent by Hunter Warfield showing original account # XXXX yet original creditor shows acct # XXXX. This is a direct violation of my rights and I request the immediate removal of this account from all credit reporting agencies whom has been notified. Hunter Warfield is required to notify me within 5 days prior to re-insertion. That did not happen. They also have this information on record per previous disputes, yet still reporting this account to credit reporting agency.

Complaint: This account under the name Hunter Warfield keeps showing up and the amount owed each month goes up and down {$1.00} at a time. I have never had a contract or done business with this company. Also, it shows the account was removed from my credit report and now it appeared again a day later and I was not notified. I have submitted several disputes to have this removed and it is still showing and negatively affecting my credit and reputation with other open accounts I actually have relationships with.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I have been getting harassed by a company name Hunter Warfield regarding a debt they claim I " owe '' from an apartment building in Maryland. I 've tried explaining to them over the phone several times that the debt they are claiming I owe I do not own. I have sent them several support documents such as my I/D, current lease from my apartment building, and proof that I have been living in XXXX for the past 5 years. It was mailed out to them on XX/XX/XXXX and they received it on XX/XX/XXXX via XXXX. The latest I spoke to on the phone stated that he " did not care '' if the debt was truly mine he just wanted me to pay " what I owe ''. Everytime I try to talk to management or someone in the investigation department the reps either hang up on me or transfer me to another debt collector.
