Complaint: XXXX XXXX owned my mortgage load from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. They then sold my mortgage to Homepoint Mortgage. My loan number is XXXX. I got a notification from my credit monitoring company, XXXX XXXX, that Homepoint Mortgage has put a delinquency notification on my credit. I paid a mortgage payment on-line over and above my mortgage amount on XX/XX/XXXX. I've never received any paperwork showing any information on my mortgage from Homepoint, i.e. payment due, mortgage amount due, etc.

Complaint: I was checking my credit score after being rejected for a job due to the large drop in my credit score. My credit dropped 127 points and said I did not make a payment and it was over 30 days late. I've made all my payments on time and make sure they clear my bank. The show the amount of {$860.00}, but this is not my payment nor would it be if a " late '' penalty was added in. All my payment have cleared on average of 7 days after payment has been made. My normal mortgage payment is {$810.00} and due on the XXXX of each month. I tried to call the company, I was put on hold for over 2.5 hours ( I finally hung up ), I put in my loan info, the line rings busy, an automated recording comes on and then hangs up on you. I've sent an email to every email address on their website with no responses. There is no way to contact this company at this point. I've files an investigation with the credit bureau and it is in process at this time. This has hurt not only my credit, but my fiance as well. How is it a company can make such a gross error and we the consumer should just write it off as it has affected our lives. Companies need to be held on their errors and pay when this messes with peoples lives.

Complaint: Home Point Financial took over the loan about a year ago. For nine months they did not report my payments to the credit reporting services, so my balance was not going down, even when I made my payments. I complained to XXXX and Home POint Financial started reporting me. Around XX/XX/XXXX they started sending me double statements. One statement would say all is OK and one would say I am late by a month or two. I have never been late and I have proof of payment for every month. My credit scores are between 800 and 850. Contacting them was nearly impossible. The website does not work. I have attempted to enter it a dozen times, but either it is down or does not recognize me even when I change my password. I believe I was successful one time. Their phone system does not answer, either. Latest time I tried to call them was today, but their recording says they have a system error. I have mailed them letters with proof of payment twice, but gotten no response, or at least no response I can access. Now I got two notices that they have reported me as late on my payment to XXXX, XXXX/XXXX XXXX ( not sure based on what service that is ) and possible others. This company is causing too much worry and work for consumers and should be fixed/shut down. Thank you for your help in advance!

Complaint: I closed on an FHA mortgage with Home Point Financial on XX/XX/XXXX. I have made every payment on-time and in full each month since closing, including the current payment due XX/XX/XXXX. In early XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted by two separate credit monitoring services I have which alerted me to new negative information on my credit report. Upon investigation I found that Home Point Financial had added two new tradelines to my XXXX credit report ( in addition to the mortgage I hold with them ). The two new tradelines do not represent additional credit I have obtained from the lender, they are the result of a system error by Home Point Servicing. Both of these errant tradelines reported as 120+ days past due. I contacted Home Point Customer Service on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX at extension XXXX. She advised that the issue impacted a population of loans and mine was included. She stated she would have a letter sent by close of business on XX/XX/XXXX, confirming the current status of my loan. I did not receive the letter as promised. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Home Point and requested to speak to their Escalations Department and was connected with a Manager named XXXX XXXX explained that credit corrections would be performed no later than XX/XX/XXXX and that I would have my letter of explanation by the end of the day. I received the letter that evening. Credit corrections were made to show the two errant mortgage tradelines as " current ''. These phantom tradelines should be removed, not show as actual, existing tradelines, whether open, closed, paid as agreed or delinquent. Having these tradelines remain on my credit report damages my credit score and creditworthiness as it makes it appear as if I am far more indebted than I actually am. It also alters other key components of the credit scoring algorithm, such as average age of credit, number of new accounts, et cetera. In a further effort to gain resolution, I sent a letter to the CEO of Home Point,, XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. As of this writing no one from his office or the Executive Escalations team has attempted any contact with me. Infuriatingly, on XX/XX/XXXX, I have been informed that Home Point has again reported me as past due. As the attached letter from Home Point will illustrate, this information is completely incorrect. I implore you, as the Enforcement Agency for RESPA to assist me. Having my credit corrected immediately is of particular concern to me. As a XXXX XXXX in the XXXX industry and a XXXX as a XXXX XXXX XXXX under the XXXX XXXX ( XXXX # XXXX ) I am heavily impacted by my credit score. I am currently seeking employment and renewal of my license. Both require a stringent credit check. The current state of my credit assures that I will not pass these background checks. I will be in poverty if I can not accept work soon. All because Home Point can not correct an error completely of their own making.

I called their number XXXX on XX/XX/18 and was told my balance was {$310000.00}. I have not been late as its on autopay and yet they have incorrectly reported to XXXX that I was late. This has caused my credit history to take a hit and my score dropped 102 points. XXXX XXXX XXXX has incorrectly reported that I was late and they should be help accountable for it.

Complaint: Home Point incorrectly put lender-placed insurance on my account, causing my monthly payment to skyrocket. I emailed Home Point proof of insurance on XX/XX/XXXX, and on XX/XX/XXXX, a Home Point Insurance Processing Associate ( XXXX XXXX ) emailed me the following email : " Thank you for contacting Home Point Financial, also thank you for providing the insurance information. The account has been updated and the documentation has been saved in our system. The Lender Placed will cancel, you will received a letter and the funds that were charged against you will be refunded. '' However, Home Point has not refunded me the charges, and in fact, is still charging me for the lender-placed insurance. I have literally spent hours on the phone with Home Point trying to resolve the issue. During one call a few months ago, a Home Point representative assured me that I would receive the full refund in XX/XX/XXXX, after they do an escrow analysis which was scheduled for that month, and that my mortgage statement would reflect the proper amount at that time. I have not yet received my refund and my statement still reflects the incorrect amount with the lender-placed insurance on it. Yesterday, a representative at Home Point told me that I will continue to be charged the lender-placed insurance until XX/XX/XXXX. The representative also told me that I should have received an escrow refund check in the amount of {$800.00} in XX/XX/XXXX, but I have not received any check from Home Point, and the amount that Home Point owes me is closer to ( if not more than ) {$2000.00}. The representative then told me I would have to wait until next XX/XX/XXXX to receive the remaining amount, because they only run the escrow analysis once a year. I'm at my wits end. I've called dozens of times and have been incorrectly charged thousands of dollars for lender-placed insurance. I don't know what else to do. Please help. Please.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX we contacted home Point Financial which is our mortgage servicing provider to ask them about a forbearance program due to Hurricane Irma. We were advised in XX/XX/XXXX early XX/XX/XXXX that we were approved for that but that we would have to repay that come XX/XX/XXXX. However, my husband lost his job due to the company closing and then contacted home Point again to ask them to start the benefit package through the VA to cover a mortgage until he gained employment again. We then waited and waited and waited made multiple phone calls in regards to the package they were supposed to mail us out to fill all of this documentation out. We finally received the package late XX/XX/XXXX. We filled it out sent it in and was requested by them multiple times to continue to update the information because it had been so long since they have looked at the package. There was never one direct point of contact for me to call and follow-up with. Then in XX/XX/XXXX when my husband gain employment I went to log on to make an online payment and they had locked us out of the system. Then from XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX until now I was calling them asking to make a payment and they told me I could not do so because we have been in underwriting and we were told to wait until we had a decision. Then, yesterday I received a call from XXXX at home Point Financial and she stated that we were denied the VA package due to income ratios. She then stated that they would start the foreclosure process and it could be done in weeks if not months. I then contacted XXXX at the VA and she pulled up our loan information and saw that we've had no modifications and nothing done to her alone so that we are still in the parameters of receiving benefits to prevent foreclosure from the VA. We are doing everything we can following up with phone calls trying to make payments and here we are being told that we have no other options. But I know that there are!!!

Complaint: Starting on the evening of Friday, XX/XX/XXXX through Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to go online and call Homepoint Financial to make my mortgage payment for XXXX. The online system did not recognize my account number after multiple attempts. The automated system kept looping around and never went to the point where I could choose the option so I could make my payment over the phone. I attempted to reach someone at Homepoint on Saturday XX/XX/XXXX and Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX via phone and sent and email through their website expressing my inability to make my payment online or over the phone. I never received a reply back from Homepoint. Finally one Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX I was able to log on to my account online, but the system kept putting my payment date as XX/XX/XXXX which was incorrect. I did not make my payment at that time since the date was incorrect. I called Homepoint first thing in the morning on XX/XX/XXXX and explained my delemia to and what occurred over the last few days. They explained that they had been closed over the holiday and took my payment over the phone. I was told that unfortunately I would be reported the credit bureaus for having a late payment and that it was my responsibility to know that they were closed over the previous days. I informed them at that time that I would put in writing what occurred so I could have this removed from my credit report since they were having a problem with their system. I monitor my credit on a monthly basis and the next time my credit report was updated it reflected a late payment on my account with Homepoint Financial, so I put in writing what occurred and sent letters to all credit reporting agencies and to Homepoint Financial. I never received a response back from my email or my letter to Homepoint. I did receive a response back form XXXX and XXXX, but I didn't get a response back from XXXX either. XXXX did remove the negative reporting from my credit report but XXXX did not. I call Homepoint to inquire as to why they never responded back to me and they said I needed to send them another letter with a copy of my credit report to them and someone would get back to me. I made a second attempt to contact them to try and resolve the issue over the phone and spoke with XXXX XXXX in the resolution department on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and explained to her what occurred and she said she would speak to her supervisor and explain what occurred and they should remove the negative reporting. She advised me she would call me back within 48 hours. She never called me back so I called her back on XXXX XXXX and left messages, she never returned my calls. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I called her back again and she answered the phone and informed me that they were not going to remove the negative reporting from my credit report. During this time I did receive a refund from Homepoint for my late fee in the amount of {$98.00} which I never requested, I only requested for this to be removed from my credit report, I owed them the {$98.00}.

Complaint: Home Point Financial has failed to credit my principal and interest payment for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2018 for my home mortgage. The payment was made in full and they have returned it. They indicated that it did not include a portion for escrow payment. However, they have previously recognized that the escrow payment requirement is specifically excluded in my loan closing documents. They still are refusing payment without it and have failed to respond to written correspondence.
