Complaint: When I started the vehicle lease in XX/XX/XXXX I purchased extended coverage for excess wear and tear protection up to {$5000.00}. When the lease was returned, I was provided the lease inspection report and told that a final bill of the charges would be sent out. I have not yet received the bill. I have spoken with GM financial on 4 different occasions starting on XX/XX/XXXX when the final charges were reported on my credit report, then on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, andXX/XX/XXXX trying to get a copy of my final bill needed to submit for payment against the coverage. I have been informed the bill was sent onXX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX not available for view, electronically through the GMfinancial website and my online account, and I have requested on multiple occasions to have my bill sent to me. GM has provided no resolution to me not receiving my bill in the mail and refused to send it to me electronically to ensure receipt. It is nearing the time that payment would be due to avoid any negative credit reporting to the credit bureaus. I have also explained to them that I will be moving which will further delay me receiving a mailed bill because it has taken them over a month to issue the statement.

Complaint: I paid off a lease and bought a XXXX XXXX from GM Financial in XX/XX/XXXX. Months later I received multiple calls about owing them {$190.00}. I asked to receive an itemized invoice of what was owed, and stated that I would pay it if appropriate. I received multiple explanations over the phone, including the first representativee I spoke with telling me it must be a mistake ( which I thought plausible with this company as it took me 4 months to get the title - I will not detail that runaround ), to I can't tell you what it is for, to it is for property tax paid on my behalf ( yet they were not able to tell me who they paid the property tax to and for what period of time ). To this date I have not received any documentation as to whom they paid or for what time period. I moved to XXXX, VA in late XXXX and paid a property tax bill from them last year and I shared those details with GM Financial. I have attached an account statement from XXXX, XXXX saying my balance with GM Financial was {$0.00}. It was after this time that I began to get calls demanding payment. I have also attached the limited invoice that I ultimately received in XXXX, XXXX, and to which I begrudgingly paid, that still had no detail as to why I owed them money. Nonetheless, GM Financial reported my delay in payment to credit agencies earlier this year, negatively affecting my credit rating.

Complaint: I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX with a down payment of {$15000.00} & a XXXX XXXX with a {$7000.00} down payment on XX/XX/XXXX I learned from the VP OF GM FINANCIAL that they had made a business decision not to do business with me any more and they either 1 needed their collateral back 2. needed a payment in full 3. I could let them repo the vehicle and id have ten days to pay off or they where going to court in front of a judge to force me to turn in the truck and the only payment options we had where in cash at a XXXX XXXX or certified check & the account had a payoff of {$64000.00} for the XXXX and {$42000.00} for the XXXX The purchase price for the XXXX was {$60000.00} and {$40000.00} for the XXXX ON XX/XX/XXXX I made 2 payments I paid what the print out of the payment said ( see attached ) 1 payment in the amount of {$5000.00} and another for {$270.00} for the XXXX and {$3200.00} for the XXXX they received the funds that same day I called on XX/XX/XXXX and asked why was my balance still {$64000.00} & {$42000.00} when my account balance was {$60000.00}. &. {$40000.00} and I had just paid almost XXXX between both accounts they did not want to explain or couldn't explain why so I went to the XXXX dealer and the finance manager was more confused then myself. I called XXXX XXXX which is the only person that can give me any information about my accounts according to CS at GM FINANCIAL and she tells me that the payments where rejected and id have to contact XXXX XXXX to recover my funds and the accounts needed to be paid in full so I tell her ok no problem I called a credit union which approved me and half way thru the process they inform me of a situation that was preventing them from completing the refi and that id need to call FL DMV. FL DMV explain to me that there was a stop placed on my vehicle 's TITLE and that id need to call GM. GM explained that they placed a freeze on the title until it was paid off I explained to them I was trying to pay them off I was doing a refi thru my local Credit Union and that with a title stop they where unable to complete the refi they refused to help me and explained that they where not going to allow me to refi or pay off the account and that the only option I had at this point was giving them my address so that they could recover their vehicles this was on XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to recover the 3 payments that had not been applied to my accounts and rejected according to GM Financial XXXX XXXX explained that they where not rejected and that they would have to email GM to get a refund for me to contact them in 24 to 48 hours so I called 48 hours later GM replied that the payments where applied to the accounts no refund. so I have no refund the 3 payments I made where rejected and not applied to my account but they were not refunded to XXXX XXXX or to myself and they will not remove the title stop so I can't refinance although already approved with new bank ready to take over and ay them in full

Complaint: On XX/XX/19 I turned in a lease XXXX ( GM ) and due to GMC loyalty was informed that GM will handle all origination fees/payments remaining. 110 days later I received a phone call from GM demanding {$800.00} dollars for lease return. I immediately called the dealer XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX/and we had a conference call. General Motors apologized and sent an email to me apologizing for the error and claimed all origination fees and wear and tear was taken care of and balance was XXXX. The Robo calls continued from GM and no real person continually. I would call GM and they claimed I still owed XXXX plus. Mind you I never received an invoice from GM. Yet they claimed they mailed an invoice. Again I was informed that my credit hit would be corrected and apologized for the error. To date I have I still have a negative hit on my credit score that I worked 40 years to keep a perfect score. I was informed by General Motors that negative hit will be removed and that they will make contact with the credit reporting bureau! Yet Im informed by XXXX that the negative remark will remain even though I provided an email from GM apologizing and writing to inform me that they will be in touch with the credit bureau to remove the negative remark. Dealing with General Motors has been my worst nightmare. Every advisor I spoke with had a different story and informed me that my Acct was settled. Yet the robo calls continued by GM and couldnt talk to anyone! Had to call each time hearing a different story and told that my case went to a different division. I still ended up having to pay {$540.00} plus which I was informed in the very beginning that these charges would be waived and my credit hit would be repaired. I had a perfect rating and GM ruined all of it. Ruined my perfect credit score. I have a new vehicle XXXX XXXX. Had I known that this unbelievable lies would occur and continual harrsement with Robo calls and different story each time by GM reps, I would never have purchased a other GM automobile. Once this existing lease is up my family and friends will never buy or lease a GM vehicle again. Promises made that Im a loyal customer and all fees waived including 2 remaining payments. So we went with another lease and traded in the existing car. 110 days later I get a phone call demanding {$800.00} dollars by GM and never knew that there was an issue. They claimed they sent invoice. Ive always paid every creditor on time for perfect credit score! GM ruined my perfect credit score and not fixing it as they promised. Never again will I purchase s other GM vehicle. The internet is full of complaints with lease end issues. The Robo calms are a joke. Its a recording and continual. Yet every agent I talked to had a different story on my Acct. I still ended up having to pay {$540.00} & I dont even know why. I was Informed by the GM agent that all this will be corrected after my dealership did a 3 way conference. Yet nothing was corrected. I hate my new vehicle due to GM ruining my perfect credit score that I worked so hard to get. And never realized there was an issue being informed that all fees are waived when I traded in my lease to get into a new lease offered. Robo calls with a recording are stressful and conversations by agents that claimed all will be taken care of and not to worry. Yet they went from XXXX demanding payment - then dealer told GM agent to correct and informed all is good. Yet Robo calls continued and I would have to call them. They would demand payment this time {$540.00} when I was informed all fees waived and GM apologized for the confusion. Such lies. I will never buy from GM again. The complaints on line about lease returns into the thousands. This kind of abuse and lies by GM needs to stop.

Complaint: A XXXX XXXX was leased through me in on XX/XX/XXXX for my wife at the time. In XX/XX/XXXX, my wife and I were going through a divorce and she was going to obtain the lease on the vehicle since it was her vehicle. Paperwork was filled out and the lease take over was approved by GM Financial. Once the final paperwork was filled out and sent back, we were notified that she must resubmit the application paperwork. Once the paperwork was resubmitted a second time, GM Financial denied her taking over the lease. The courts approved that the lease and everything that pertains the vehicle is her responsibility as of XX/XX/XXXX. Due to GM Financial denying her in XX/XX/XXXX, my ex wife dumped the vehicle on me and walked away. The courts mandated that the vehicle be returned and see what was to be owed on the vehicle. Once the bill for the returned vehicle came in, it took several months and numerous court appearances to get my ex-wife to pay the bill from GM Financial for the returned vehicle. She finally paid the bill in XX/XX/XXXX. During all this time, an open bill fro {$7500.00} remained unpaid on an account which was originally opened in my name and social security number.

Complaint: My car was repossessed and then I paid the amount past due, next payment due and all fees totaling {$2100.00}. Bringing my acct completely current on XX/XX/XXXX. This included my XX/XX/2019 payment. Then 2 days ago I got a call saying my acct was past due for XXXX and XXXX. I had this investigated and the result was the system is applying payments incorrectly and they don't know why. It can not be fixed so they offered me a deferment of the 2 payments. I took this deferment so my credit isnt adversely affected any further. However, i paid XXXX payment already. Now I'm expected to pay it again at the end if the loan at 18 % interest. Their computer system is wrong and they are aware and not correcting this. How many other people has this happened to and how much money ate they making on interest by applying payments wrong. This is a major violation of the consumer rights! Please look into this!

Complaint: I returned a leased GM vehicle XX/XX/2019 and received a bill dated XX/XX/2019 onXX/XX/2019 stating amount due for disposition fee and damages {$1100.00} due by XX/XX/2019. I called in and disputed some of the damages since the vehicle was not picked up until XX/XX/2019 and had been moved to a different location where possibly some damages may have occurred during the move. I asked what my options for payments were and was informed {$180.00} per month until balance paid. I received notice on my credit card statement I had a delinquent report from GM financial XX/XX/2019 in the full amount of {$1100.00}. I called XX/XX/2019 and questioned customer service why they reported me late and she said they would correct it and I set up payments and paid {$180.00}. I checked my credit report and she had corrected the XXXX XXXX but not the experian report. After numerous calls to GM financial I was in formed that they could do nothing and I would have to contact experian directly to correct it. I called experian and was told they could submit a dispute to GM financial but could not remove the delinquency and suggested contacting CFPB.

Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX my car was repossessed due to late payments. They show me 30 days late in the months leading up to the repo. They had a technical glitch that affected thousands of customers. In a press release they promised no customer would be compromised. I'm not sure if the glitch was the problem but here is my concern .... In XXXX of XXXX they are reporting to the credit agencies a payment of {$970.00}. After a year of my car being repossessed I've finally managed to figure out with GM Financial customer service that they received a payment of {$480.00}. Because of their error and complications on making payments because of their glitch, my payments showed late when they were supposed to be a month ahead. I tried resolving this with them but they said they said I did not have an account with them. I never received all the proper documents when my car was repossessed and only found out when the lot my car was towed to called me to have my personal belongings picked up. Finally a year later I'm able to confirm with GM account details. But every call I make to them they send me to different departments to answer my questions. But with no resolution. I was given no opportunity to make right on my loan because of their negligence and am seeking help to resolve the matter of their wrongful and unlawful reposession.

Complaint: Below is the email that was provide to GM Financial on 3 separate occasions receiving no response either times it was submitted. The letter was sent to address what I feel is an unwarranted 30 day late on my credit reporting. The first letter was sent on XXXX XXXX to an email address provided by an XXXX with GM Financial. This was sent after multiple calls with representatives XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX produced no result. The second time this was as the result of a call I received after filling out a satisfaction survey GM Financial had sent me. XXXX XXXX reached out to me for clarification after my survey. After discussion, she asked me to forward her the letter. After 2 weeks I reached out again and she said she did not receive it. I sent it again to her on XX/XX/XXXX. She responded that she receive it and would review with leadership and update me with progress. I have received no follow-up to date and even emailed XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to ask about it. Obviously both times I have waited longer that the 30 days I believe they have to respond per regulations. The letter read : On XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ), I was left a message with a return phone number to call. I was not able to return the call that day but when I got the same call the next day I was able to respond. I was alerted that my GM Financial account # XXXXXXX was past due for a XXXX payment. Not believing that to be the case, I looked into it and found that the payment never came out of my bank account even though I set it up on GM Financial website the week of XX/XX/XXXX. I remember this specifically because I did this before going on vacation the following week. First, something went wrong and I have every reason to believe it was something within the GM Financial system. I have spoken with 4 people now in regards to this from GM Financial. XXXX told me in regards to the website not working right, Yeah, we get that a lot that there is problems.. XXXX also said there can be problems, and XXXX told me roughly, It is technology so there is going to be problems with it. Secondly, I find it ridiculous that GM Financial did not make contact with me and leave me a message until the payment was nearly 50 days past due. I have been told that calls were made in XXXX, but that was to the home phone number that we no longer have. No one made an effort to call me on the other numbers that were on file until XX/XX/XXXX??? That is unacceptable and is the fault of GM Financial. I would have taken immediate action to make the payment had I been aware of the missing payment. Additionally, I was accustom to receiving confirmation emails when I made payments. When I was made aware of the missing payment, I immediately looked for this confirmation email. I found that my confirmation emails were always received up until XXXX of XXXX. Then I received one other in I believe XXXX. I had made NO changes to my account that would have affected this change in my notification. In fact, until speaking with XXXX, I did not know these setting were even available to me on My Accountonline. Again, GM financial is responsible for this error in my notifications as something or someone within GM Financial made these changes. I am requesting that the 30 day late that will be reporting on my credit be deleted. I have had credit problems in the past due to loss of employment, but that has been corrected and I have worked very diligently for several year to make all my payments on time. There is more than enough here to assign fault to GM Financial, and I insist this is taken off of my credit reporting. I have spoken with several GM Financial people and all have made excuses as to why this is not GMs fault, but this is without doubt problems with several aspects of GM including the technology and communication. I am frustrated that this needs to be communicated to the department that can make this change for me through a letter. I do not feel this is customer service at all. I would like someone with the authority to make this change to call me to discuss this situation. I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX and please leave me a message with a number to call if I am unable to answer. There is no reason that this should take more than 3 to 4 days to resolve. Please contact me right away, as I have other credit actions that I am looking to make in the immediate future.
